Yes, very much. We always started planting mothers day weekend. I still carry on our tradition tion even after 20+years.
What life is all about... taking notice of and truly enjoying the little things...ie the bumblebee, the little blooming flowers, etc. 😊
Also, taking a break to just sit and enjoy each other's company surrounded by your mom's beautiful gardens, while the birds were singing their morning song to you. 😊

I enjoy you and your mom and sister together so much. My mom passed away almost 10 years ago and I remember seeing you and your mom together in a video a few years back and it took my breath away to watch you both together- it’s been such a healing gift to hear you all laugh together, work together, and know each other so well. I pray your daughter gets to bring her daughters along with you guys one day! Thank you for the gift of joy sharing your family brings!

I love the time you are able to spend with your mom. My mom is 84 with Alzheimer's. She had a rough childhood but gave me a love of plants. I have been working so hard on my yard with your inspiration. My mom loves purples and yellows so I have filled my garden with those colors. I took her on a tour last week holding her by the arm for support. The joy in her eyes of what has been created will live with me for always. Love and prayers to everyone.
I lost my mom to Alzheimer’s in 2012. It’s an awful disease, and she taught me everything about gardening, flowers, preserving food..etc…I still miss her terribly.
I met Susan at the garden center. She was so kind to lead me to the birds there. I had eye surgery so I couldn't find them! Susan took my arm and led me to the birds. Very kind lady ❤

I just love your parent’s garden- its so lush, layered and beautiful. The last few seconds with the sounds of birds chirping and you two sitting in the sun- really nice and to me the true reward of all the hard work our gardens involve 😊

I’ve been obsessed with your parents garden since you first toured it in 2018, but we haven’t seen a tour since 2020! Please please please do a garden tour along with the renovation tour if you’re able to. Your mom does such a wonderful job, there is something so special and serene about the garden space she’s created. It’s so fun seeing you two together in the garden ❤

When your mom said they go in on Sunday when the store is closed to do paperwork, sent me way back. My family also had a family business and as a young teen I’d go with them, and while they did paperwork. I dusted and rearranged the displays, filed paperwork, and then we’d “celebrate” with a meal at our favorite restaurant. Nothing like a family business!! I have learned SO much about growing/gardening from you. I love your entire family. Thank you for your information, sharing your family, and occasionally reminding me of the special times of being in a family business. P.S. to Aaron- seriously envious of the new Bobcat.

Thistle. So that’s the official name of that weed. Around my home we always called it “the weed from hell.” Love seeing your parent’s piece of paradise. It’s absolutely breathtaking.
Donkeys LOVE thistles. In a field of clover, they would dart to the patch of thistles, wrap their tongues around them and munch them down. The needles never slowed them down. Donkeys are so cool!
Move the lamb statue into the middle of the bed. They always are in the middle of things! lol! Beautiful

In our area of the Texas Hillcountry, zone 8A, we’re placed on water conservation/restrictions every summer. Lawns do terrible here. Glad you get enough rainfall every year that you’re able to support the amount of water it takes to keep them green in the summertime. I’m learning to use ground covers, close planting spacing and mulch with drip irrigation to avoid bare ground. It’s a challenge but seeing what you’ve done with these techniques in your arid climate gives me inspiration and knowledge. Thank you for putting out the content that you have.
