hi lads ,thanks for the great videos, I'm looking at getting an electric trolley, 55 but I suffer bad arthritis and lower back pain so decided id invest, looking for something like this as need a brake on it etc as play a lot of hilly links here in south west Ireland , would you recommend? or is there any others out there you could recommend please? was hoping to get one with gps as not crazy about the watches etc, but if not its okay, appreciate you help and keep up the great videos
Hi Jon I can honestly say it was one of the best investments and improvements to both our games... I have a really bad back and suffer sciatica from time to time so needed something to relieve it and this trolley does that, it makes it a doodle for me up and down hills and I have much more energy out on course not pushing a cart around, before I'd struggle to get round 18 holes with out suffering towards the end and the next day sometimes could barely get out of bed, this trolley changed all that can't recommend it enough, the only complaint I have is because of its construction being so well made and large battery its heavy lifting it in and out of the boot, best thing iv found is to load the battery separately. They are amazing and iv not had a problem with mine yet and it gets used alot, also the electric automatic have brake works great... Hope this helps Jon let us know if you get one and how to get on with it as we are always interested in other people's thoughts on equipment cheers Fint 👍
@@RogueGolfers hi Fint, thanks so much for the reply, much appreciate it, yep, I know that feeling, I'm finding I'm absolutely shattered doing 18 holes & don't enjoy it as joints, back would be very sore, also right shoulder from having rotator cuff operation, glad to hear you find it good, been lost trying to find decent one, may I ask, do you recommend any from them with additional GPS, thanks again so much,
@@jonwright8236 your welcome, iv not got the gps on mine so can't comment on how good that part is, going off the rest of it I'm sure it will be top notch, your best bet would be to pop into American golf and look one over for yourself sorry I can't be more help on it Jon... Good luck in your purchase 🙂
@@RogueGolfers thanks for that, yep think I'll go with the m3 Pro dhc, and use my dad's Bushnell phantom for gps, can't thank you enough lads for such a thorough review, will let you know how I get on, thanks a million, take care, Jon
Great video chaps. I managed to get one last year but have only used it once due to lockdown etc. One thing to note that when unfolding you only need to use the one big catch at the bottom. The small light grey one in the middle is a stand 😊
@@RogueGolfers No worries chaps. I managed to get out today and used it for the 2nd time. As I have a dodgy back it’s a lifesaver. Brilliant piece of equipment 😊
Well bit the bullet and ordered the M3 gps DHC 18 hole last night, looking forward to hopefully arriving next week, any rec on a cooler bag fo it etc? thanks again
Excellent Jon glad to hear it! You won't be disappointed 😀... not had a cooler bag go through our hands so can't recommend any to be fair but I know big max do one and clicgear too, just unsure if either would fit or if they are any good... sorry we can't give any help with that Jon but good luck with your new trolley we're really happy for you as we both know how much it's going to help you, take care Fint and Jay
@@RogueGolfers thanks lads, beautiful trolley, have it charged, but can't connect to my phone to update firmware, tried different phones but same thing, says internal system error,? Appreciate any help or advice, thanks Jon
Trying to decide between the M3 and M5. Outside of being able to move the pin on the greens in GPS mode, are there any other worthwhile differences between the two models? DHC is a certainty. Really enjoyed the video.
Hi Kid Cuddy. The differnce between the latest 2021 versions are the M5 connects to your mobile phone and has a life saver mode with CPR instructions. I personally would go for the M3 as I like having my focus on the game and not my text messages. Great choice going for the DHC. Let us know what you decide and how you get on with it. Thanks for the support 👍
@@RogueGolfers Cheers lads. Yes, I have a Fitbit and always disable the notifications & alerts. Based in Ireland so just trying to find a stockist. They seem to have increased in popularity as most places are sold out. Looking forward to getting it now, moving towards M3 👍🏻
Yeah we're also finding a lot of golf gear is out of stock at the moment! ... let us know what you get in the end and how you're finding it... all the best mate 👍
@@jonwright8236 Hi Jon. I went for the M5 GPS doc. Have to say I am delighted with thr purchase. The screen is so sharp and its just a little bigger than the M3 screen. Yardage it's given have matched with my Garmin watch so it's accurate too. I think there is around a €90\100 difference in price on McGuirks between the 2 versions. M3 also a great option just gives you front middle and back yardages. I just bit the bullet and got the M5. You won't regret either purchase!
Hi Tony, there's no GPS on the M3 version ... you would need to look into the M5, have you thought about getting a GPS Watch instead?... here's a link to the M5 mate 👍 amzn.to/3xiedNM
@@RogueGolfers yeah I understand that. I just wish it would run normally on uphills. You can’t switch if off and push it when you are on a flat. My old one I used to put it on 0 and just push it to save battery. You can’t push the thing with it off as it’s got a constant brake to it
The battery will easily last a round so I wouldn't worry about trying to save power! In the scenario you somehow did run out of battery pull the wheels out one click so it will allow you to free wheel it. 👍🏻
Great video. Never had an electric trolley and thinking of getting one. Do you find that you generally still push the trolley with your hands to steer. Is the Remote version much easier to use out on the course or do you end up using that feature only a limited number of times ? Have you tried any of the "follow" caddies from Stewart or Foresight ? Not sure if more of a hassle or really makes it a lot easier.
Hi Big Little Birdie, we both can't recommend them enough, I have a bad back and it helps me a lot, where I would feel the round of golf the following day, I now feel fresh the next day ready to play again... you do need to turn the M3 but it is effortless in motion, you find it pulls you around nicely. I love my M7 it gets used remotely most of the time... it's especially handy for moving around the green so you don't have to walk back to the trolley each time, very handy on hills!... haven't yet tried a stewart or foresight so can't comment on those. Would def recommend getting an electric trolley as it will improve your game not having to use energy carrying or pushing your bag around, it's like have a personal caddie ... thanks for the comment 👍
@@RogueGolfers Thanks for your response. The remote feature does seem pretty handy. The ones with built in GPS also looks like saves a ton of time instead of fiddling around w/ a range finder.
@@biglittlebirdie450 I think the GPS model is the M5, we like to use a watch as it gives the distance straight over the ball... yeah I wouldn't be without my M7, gets a lot of attention too as many people haven't seen one before, it's hilarious seeing their reaction... let us know if you end up getting a trolley as we'd love to hear how you get on with it... all the best RG 🙂
Thanks guys I’m in the hunt for an electric trolley! I take it the trolley can be transported with the battery in place ie does it click in or does the trolley itself stop the battery coming out when folded? Thanks for any help you can give
Hi Ian thanks for your question... yes the battery can be left in place whilst being transported, it doesn't clip in it just sits in its holder and with the trolley locked down it doesn't go anywhere... you won't be disappointed if you go with a motocaddy, in our opinion they can't be beaten on build quality, features or price point... if you do get one please let us know how you get on with it as we love hearing your feedback. all the best mate 👍
@@RogueGolfers thanks for the amazingly quick response! I’m basically trying to decide between this and the powacaddy ct6! Thanks again for a very informative video
The CT6 does look like a nice trolley and a fair bit more compact but I might be wrong... either option I don't think you can't go far wrong, we both spent hours going through forums and reviews to decide on whether to get a motocaddy or powakaddy and we found that the Motocaddy seemed a more reliable brand going off their past models... let us know what you get mate.. happy golfing 🙂
