Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit - "King of the Road: CCXR Edition"

I hear a frequent complaint from novice or less experienced players that they find an A.I. controlled Bugatti Veyron simply impossible to beat, thus making this event insurmountable.
Of course, that's not true as I can prove, for whatsoever reason you might be unable to beat the Veyron (most likely as a result of poor driving), it is possible to win it (and by a fair margin).
I also beat my best time with the Veyron (4:29:39) with the CCXR on this run.

this game beats just about every other car game out there graphics / sound effects / game play the only down side i think is when you drive off from a starting position the screen shakes i don't know about you but i find that rather annoying and the tyres screeching aswell
