I love the vibe of this project. I don't know how Tae can give exactly what I expect and still be so surprising in his execution. He definitely picked the perfect people to work with him on this project.

Amarillo, you really need to react to V’s tiny desk and his band session video’s. It showcases V being a musician’s musician. The sample is by freekind, she is one of the songwriters and producers on this album.
The sample is said to be his voice pitched up.
I believe the sample is V's voice just modulated. But this one is my fave on the album 💜💜 I agree with you, it's a great beat
According to another comment it's a hip hop duo, they're posted somewhere here in the comments but yes it's a fire beat
Thank you so much for your reaction. I loved it as usual. I really loved this project too. All the choices from songs to videos to all the details therein seemed particularly intentional and thoughtful. It seemed like a true labor of love from Taehyung; like a gift to himself and to army.
I totally got that gift from Tae to us vibe from this for sure! I know it was pushed back a few times & he really put his all into it
Bro loves Drake why would we think it's a shade... I honestly think it's Tae's voice and the pitch changed cause it switched up to his voice mid song and his voice also pitched down in the background as well
Every time I say "something about x reminds me of something about y" I get people up in arms & the more popular the x is, the more people seem to be annoyed about the comp being made, so I just bookended my point "this is not shade, don't yell at me over nothing"
This is my favorite song of the album, and I say that as someone who has had the entire album on repeat since the day it dropped!
Hey, do you think it's possible that the sample is by Tae himself?? I've heard him using his voice exactly like that, so I'm trying to imagine it brought down to regular speed and his natural register... VERY cool to interrupt and take over the sample, especially with the cassette clicky sounds that are so nostalgic! I still have most of my mixtapes from the 80s and early 90s in a box, some of them made by recording from the radio and trying to cut out the DJ talk at the beginning and end with impeccable button timing skills, LOL!
See I was curious if the sample could've been him as well but someone said it was a hip hop duo who did it so idk. Either way the results speak for themselves!
Also yes everyone just wanted the DJ to shut up so they could get the full song lol!
@AmariLeone Freekind are credited as composer and lyricist for the song in the album. I'm not sure that the sample itself is them though. It really sounds very similar, almost identical to Tae's inflections when he takes over after the switch.
Honestly 1st time listening to this song was a shock to my ears. It took 3 listening to find that switch up genius. But it is my favorite in the album.
Don't worry about the haters nor the bullies it's just their job to irritate and annoy everyone.Just put some in their place and ignore the rest. AHH as soon as you said drake it reminded me of the unthinkable song he made with alicia keys ive been trying to pinpoint what for us reminded me of for so long THANK YOU.
Yeah he has a few songs like this where he incorporates a processed vocal sample as the main melody of the beat (Look What You’ve Done, Weston Road Flows, How Bout Now, Tuscan Leather, Nice For What) but this in particular reminded me of Fire & Desire. Unthinkable is a timeless banger though so taste!
Is Drake still holding that record? BTS (collectively and individually ) have been smashing records lately- it's like their hobby of what to do on a slow Wednesday. (I am asking because I DON'T know- not shade, Drake is awesome)
Yeah, Taylor swift will end up passing him at some point (& would've passed him already if she hadn't had her catalogue off streaming services in protest for artist payment amounts) but as of now Drake is still #1.
