They often use unexpected instruments and compositions and just when you think you have the song figured out they'll change it up completely by mixing an entirely different genre into it. Something she is well known for is keeping vocals clean and using only reverb as a vocal effect. I have heard Taehyung sing Karaoke & also live a cappella without any vocal effects. His voice is the same. It’s very full and thick and gives the feeling of depth even as he goes higher. I’m a trained vocalist and what has fascinated me about Taehyung from the first moment I heard him is that intrinsic IT factor he has because his voice is very unique and identifiable as well as expressive and beautiful. Vocal coach Iris Stephenson, the inspiration of the movie, Sister Act 2, actually worked with Tae briefly when BTS came to the USA to film American Hustle Life. She was very impressed with his soulful voice and said to him, “People feel something when you sing!” She had him sing the lead on Oh Happy Day and there were no vocal effects. The depth and thickness of his tone was incredible even back then. It was the summer of 2014 and Tae was only 18 then.

They're the ruling kings, both seniors and juniors of the industry agree.. Cool to see you like our Taehyung's solo endeavors. It'll definitely be worth it to dive into more music by BTS, both solo and group. Every one of the 7 boys hold their own, they've all each sold over 1 million of their solo albums. (there's no other Kpop solo artists to have reached that milestone, except for BTS).

Thank you for giving V a highlight. V's solos are really unique and not "common" as you could expected from a "K-pop" artist. His taste in music are quite eclectic and he has always loved jazz, r&b and soul music. His tone is really unique, rich and full of color. That's why he can really well portrait lot of emotions and you can actually feel it, it is not just a nice voice or just perfect technic (thanks god). This is V's first solo album as the members are gradually entering into their mandantory military enlistment. 2 of the 7 are active now with another due to leave soon (no exact date yet). The members plan to reunite together in 2025 but until then we're getting to hear their own musical style outside of the group and it's been a lot of fun to see them grow and explore as artists. CCs are available and one of the numerous reasons BTS, either solo or as a group, are loved like they are is the beauty of their lyrics and the messages within them. I'd suggest watching these MVs again with CCs to see how beautiful the songs actually are.

Danielle did a good job of the song but for me it comes down to something she herself said… she’s never been in love and experienced the feelings in the Rainy Days song. And you can tell through his acting and also the way he sings the song that he understands the feelings in that song.

V (Taehyung) has an old soul in a young mans body. He is our jazzy boy in Bts and a true romantic! He started at a young age learning saxophone. I guess he doesnt have much time to practice that now, but it formed his taste of music permanently. 💜

8:04 V's self composed songs will be released on his future mixtape. Layover album songs are his preference but are not written by him. V prefers classical music, jazz, R&B, and other laid back genres, but for the layover album, he is going for a lo-fi contemporary (yet oldschool) version of the genres he likes. Thus these songs. For a reaction video to V's voice, I suggest reacting to 'Le Jazz de V' Live Clip and 'Christmas Tree'. PS: My music library is also predominantly female vocals. My speakers, for example, do not do male vocals justice.
Where in the world did you get the idea he's releasing a mixtape in the future? He has said nothing at all about a future mixtape, and in fact has said that he has deleted the songs he worked on previously. Not only that, but the group has made it clear that they are well beyond "mixtapes" at this point. This sounds very much like the comment of someone trying to manifest their own desires or apologize (unfathomably) for V not having writing credits on this beautiful album, rather than listening to what V himself has said.

The "idea" was based on initial info. As there is no ETA for the release, it can change from a mixtape to an album in the near or far future. However, we know the tracks exist as he and the members have talked about his self-composed songs for his mixtape for a long time, since 2020/2021, and how he has been removing tracks from the list due to his perfectionism, thus delaying it time after time. V has played several tracks he has discarded, one of them being "Travel With Me". We also know that "Blue & Grey" was originally co-written and co-produced by V for his solo record. Ofc, the discarded songs are not part of the mixtape (or potentially album) as they will never be released, but we know he has songs made as well as songs in the making. PS: I never heard any news about V discarding all of his songs. Could you please kindly provide me with a source where I can read more about this? I would greatly appreciate your assistance in finding this information. My last update (which is not very recent) was how V has been perfecting the tracklist by removing many songs that didn't fit, as he wanted the entire mixtape/album to flow from beginning to end. Thank you in advance. PSS: Genius credits also titled "Layover" as "KTH1" before the official name of the album was released, believing "Layover" to be V's mixtape. They usually do this for all artists in the speculation phase. So that's also another reason.
@tla5503 He said he deleted all of the songs he had done before, so all comments like this do is minimize what he did do as if it's not enough. We may get another album, but I highly doubt it will be a mixtape, and likely would not have the songs you're talking about since he said he deleted them. RM explained during FESTA 2022 that they would not be doing mixtapes, which traditionally are new lyric riffs on other people's music. What they plan to do moving forward is new music. Some may be written and/or composed by the members, some may not be - they've never promised anything at all in that regard, actually. If I'm coming across as aggressive it's because I'm really tired of made up stories and half truths. The guys are TELLING us what they are doing, if we'd just listen to them and trust their words. Almost all of them have literally said those very words or slight variations on that theme. "Trust me." "Listen to my words." "I'll show you my heart." "I can't lie." "It's a time to trust each other." Fans with false expectations of hobi hurt him over the whole "physical album" mess. Let's not do it to anyone else.

If you want to listen to more of his music, search V-Topic on UA-cam or V on other streaming platforms. He has jazz, ballads, R&B, neo soul and Brit pop under his discography. On the chorus of Rainy Days, what you heard was they went from his voice in stereo to mono. It became more prominent. He doesn’t actually need typical vocal layering because he has a uniquely thick soulful vocal sound since his teenage years. Layering is only used for adlibs and harmonies. The only real vocal effect used was reverb. I recommend you check out Snow Flower which has a similar jazzy vibe since you liked Slow Dancing so much. You should hear his voice when he eliminated the breathiness completely as he was fooling around in this amazing theatre in LA during the filming of Black Swan, he sounded like a trained opera singer! I also remember Chris Martin from Coldplay asking him to increase his more voluminous vocal and reduced the breathiness for My Universe. Kim Taehyung is V’s government name. He seems to fall more into the breathiness of his vocal but personally I hope to hear more of his thicker tone one day. His voice, along with his band mate Jimin’s voice are some of the most unique in the world.
Kim Taehyung or "V" is different among the singers I've listen to nowadays. He reminds me of the era of REAL MUSIC. The time of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and the likes. His voice calms and gives warmth to the listeners. It's rare to find this kind of voice. I'm glad I've discovered him. And I can fully enjoy his songs as a singer in their solo era.

"I was not expecting this" is probably one of the most used sentenses when it comes to BTS and that's exactly it: You'll never get bored with these guys. They often use unexpected instruments and compositions and just when you think you have the song figured out they'll change it up completely by mixing an entirely different genre into it. Not to mention their often uncommon choice of topic (we're talking greek mythology, mental health issues, Jungian psychology, astronomy, social commentaries,.....) and their intelligent lyrics and wordplay. It's not without reason that they attract such a broad audience agewise and across lovers of all music genres.

@@NeonReactionsPierre something I should have mentioned in my other comment is the producer of Layover, Min Hee Jin is the producer and creator of New Jeans. Something she is well known for is keeping vocals clean and using only reverb as a vocal effect.
I have heard Taehyung sing Karaoke & also live a cappella without any vocal effects. His voice is the same. It’s very full and thick and gives the feeling of depth even as he goes higher. I’m a trained vocalist and what has fascinated me about Taehyung from the first moment I heard him is that intrinsic IT factor he has because his voice is very unique and identifiable as well as expressive and beautiful. Vocal coach Iris Stephenson, the inspiration of the movie, Sister Act 2, actually worked with Tae briefly when BTS came to the USA to film American Hustle Life. She was very impressed with his soulful voice and said to him, “People feel something when you sing!” She had him sing the lead on Oh Happy Day and there were no vocal effects. The depth and thickness of his tone was incredible even back then. It was the summer of 2014 and Tae was only 18 then.

Every one of the 7 boys hold their own, they've all each sold over 1 million of their solo albums. (there's no other Kpop solo artists to have reached that milestone, except for BTS).

There's a reason why BTS is the biggest and the best on the planet at the moment. They are not your typical "kpop" group because they cover such a vast set of diverse genres..waay beyond traditional "kpop" You'll be amazed if you listen to some of their songs in their previous albums and solo works. Check out RM aka Namjoon (leader of BTS) solo album "Indigo" and his mixtape "Mono" and prepare to have your mind = blown.

This is V's first solo album as the members are gradually entering into their mandantory military enlistment. 2 of the 7 are active now with another due to leave soon (no exact date yet). The members plan to reunite together in 2025 but until then we're getting to hear their own musical style outside of the group and it's been a lot of fun to see them grow and explore as artists. CCs are available and one of the numerous reasons BTS, either solo or as a group, are loved like they are is the beauty of their lyrics and the messages within them. I'd suggest watching these MVs again with CCs to see how beautiful the songs actually are.

Danielle did a good job of the song but for me it comes down to something she herself said… she’s never been in love and experienced the feelings in the Rainy Days song. And you can tell through his acting and also the way he sings the song that he understands the feelings in that song.

On the opposite vocal scale check out Jimin another member of the same group BTS his Album is called "Face" you like female vocals his are also very unique. You'll understand when you listen. For a first song of his I recommend"Serendipity"this will again blow you away. All the 7 members have solo works out now, each person are very different from each other (3 rappers, 4 vocalists)when doing solo work but are also phenomenal together as a whole. 8:04 V's self composed songs will be released on his future mixtape. Layover album songs are his preference but are not written by him. V prefers classical music, jazz, R&B, and other laid back genres, but for the layover album, he is going for a lo-fi contemporary (yet oldschool) version of the genres he likes. Thus these songs.
For a reaction video to V's voice, I suggest reacting to 'Le Jazz de V' Live Clip and 'Christmas Tree'.
PS: My music library is also predominantly female vocals. My speakers, for example, do not do male vocals justice.
Where in the world did you get the idea he's releasing a mixtape in the future? He has said nothing at all about a future mixtape, and in fact has said that he has deleted the songs he worked on previously. Not only that, but the group has made it clear that they are well beyond "mixtapes" at this point. This sounds very much like the comment of someone trying to manifest their own desires or apologize (unfathomably) for V not having writing credits on this beautiful album, rather than listening to what V himself has said.
@@OT7_DopeOldARMY Would it be possible to ask you to confirm that I have actual malice before writing in such an aggressive manner? I'll try to answer you and show I don't have malice. The "idea" was based on initial info. As there is no ETA for the release, it can change from a mixtape to an album in the near or far future. However, we know the tracks exist as he and the members have talked about his self-composed songs for his mixtape for a long time, since 2020/2021, and how he has been removing tracks from the list due to his perfectionism, thus delaying it time after time. V has played several tracks he has discarded, one of them being "Travel With Me". We also know that "Blue & Grey" was originally co-written and co-produced by V for his solo record. Ofc, the discarded songs are not part of the mixtape (or potentially album) as they will never be released, but we know he has songs made as well as songs in the making.
PS: I never heard any news about V discarding all of his songs. Could you please kindly provide me with a source where I can read more about this? I would greatly appreciate your assistance in finding this information. My last update (which is not very recent) was how V has been perfecting the tracklist by removing many songs that didn't fit, as he wanted the entire mixtape/album to flow from beginning to end. Thank you in advance.
PSS: Genius credits also titled "Layover" as "KTH1" before the official name of the album was released, believing "Layover" to be V's mixtape. They usually do this for all artists in the speculation phase. So that's also another reason.
@tla5503 He said he deleted all of the songs he had done before, so all comments like this do is minimize what he did do as if it's not enough. We may get another album, but I highly doubt it will be a mixtape, and likely would not have the songs you're talking about since he said he deleted them. RM explained during FESTA 2022 that they would not be doing mixtapes, which traditionally are new lyric riffs on other people's music. What they plan to do moving forward is new music. Some may be written and/or composed by the members, some may not be - they've never promised anything at all in that regard, actually.
If I'm coming across as aggressive it's because I'm really tired of made up stories and half truths. The guys are TELLING us what they are doing, if we'd just listen to them and trust their words. Almost all of them have literally said those very words or slight variations on that theme. "Trust me." "Listen to my words." "I'll show you my heart." "I can't lie." "It's a time to trust each other."
Fans with false expectations of hobi hurt him over the whole "physical album" mess. Let's not do it to anyone else.

Kpop mixtapes are not traditional mixtapes. Kpop mixtapes are typically original music by the artist that typically adhere to their personal style, which may be unique to the group's style.
As you can tell by my previous response, I never used the traditional definition of mixtape as all the songs I cited were original songs, which indicates I used the kpop industry's terminology of mixtape.

PS: As I have said, my last up to date info was V saying he was discarding tracks to make all tracks "flow". I don't have any update where he discarded every track. Please let me know where to find this news. Much appreciated.

V is only his stage name with BTS and his independent music is also listed under V. He is an actor, singer, dancer, composer, lyricist and producer. If you want to listen to more of his music, search V-Topic on UA-cam or V on other streaming platforms. He has jazz, ballads, R&B, neo soul and Brit pop under his discography.
On the chorus of Rainy Days, what you heard was they went from his voice in stereo to mono. It became more prominent. He doesn’t actually need typical vocal layering because he has a uniquely thick soulful vocal sound since his teenage years. Layering is only used for adlibs and harmonies. The only real vocal effect used was reverb.
I recommend you check out Snow Flower which has a similar jazzy vibe since you liked Slow Dancing so much. Also, TAEHYUNG has a nearly 4 octave range, so I suggest you listen to his smooth jazz influenced R&B solo song, Stigma, under BTS. He is credited as a Composer & writer for Stigma. It was his first BTS solo song. I also recommend his BTS solo song MV, Singularity, for which he won best choreography for his performances on the BTS 2018 world tour. It’s a remarkable MV and the track is neo soul.

You should hear his voice when he eliminated the breathiness completely as he was fooling around in this amazing theatre in LA during the filming of Black Swan, he sounded like a trained opera singer!
I also remember Chris Martin from Coldplay asking him to increase his more voluminous vocal and reduced the breathiness for My Universe. Kim Taehyung is V’s government name. He seems to fall more into the breathiness of his vocal but personally I hope to hear more of his thicker tone one day. His voice, along with his band mate Jimin’s voice are some of the most unique in the world.

Kim Taehyung or "V" is different among the singers I've listen to nowadays. He reminds me of the era of REAL MUSIC. The time of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and the likes. His voice calms and gives warmth to the listeners. It's rare to find this kind of voice. I'm glad I've discovered him. And I can fully enjoy his songs as a singer in their solo era.

Here is another comment for your engagement 😊 He wrote some songs but I don’t think any of them are here. He was too nervous to release them I think. However he did say that this album reflects what he called his “colour”. The types of music which represent him as a singer and artist.

About his writing music he said on the rolling stone he working on songs new now but it's totally different from this album, and this concept, he said this's Taehyung but after that V of bts ...like when yoongi released his solo like Agust d and after will release something like suga of bts
