I love my MA-50 which I bought 9 months ago as it is working like a champ. I just got my second MA-50 for another room recently. This model is a must have for your house.

Thanks for this excellent review on the Medifi. I am looking specifically for an air purifier that deals with serious VOCs and airborne chemicals. The neighboring house has a commercial laiundry to wash protective gear for men doing chemical termite elimination. Can you imagine the odor this creates, the headaches and depressed energy? So, I am not looking to save money. I am looking to protect myself from this one severe hazard. I will appreciate your suggestions. My guess is that that the largest and most effective carbon filter is my best bet. from Brad

Wow, Brad! That would definitely be a challenge -- I can only imagine what the air outside your home is like. An air purifier is the BEST bet for polluted outdoor air -- I'm so glad you were able to find something.

I have a Coway AP-1512HH Mighty in my bedroom, but now I'd like to place an MA-112 in the corner of the kitchen/dining room area. Can it be programmed so that it turns on daily for 30 minutes? Or can it be controlled via internet?
Does the Medify ma-112 have a filter replacement indicator that is based the actual state of the filter, not just the time it's been on?
I know other models, like the Nuwave oxypure and Shark purifiers (3-in-1 HC502, HC501/ HP301 ) have WIFI.

Great questions! No, these models don't have wi-fi, (which means they don't produce high levels of EMFs in your home -- I've tested them 🙂)
They have a feature that is an "auto off" after a certain amount of time that the purifier has been on. It won't automatically turn on, however.
My experience with the filters is that once the unit senses that there is not sufficient air flow, the filter indicator goes on, meaning there is debris, dust and dirt clogging the filter.
      I hope this was helpful!

Hey! This is two years later and I am looking at this one. My pet has asthma so I need one that doesn’t use that charged ion thing. I don’t know if this one does or doesn’t.

This particular unit has a feature that can be turned on an off to ionize the air. The MA-15 is another one of theirs I use and it does not have an ionizer on it.

I have a question about the MA-45. I want to purchase. Is it a difference or something that they improved?

    • @Healthyhouseontheblock
      @Healthyhouseontheblock  10 місяців тому

The models are just slightly different. The MA-45 can mount to a wall (great for keeping the device away from pets and kids) and has an improved UV light option to disinfect as well. I think the MA-45 is for a slightly smaller area than the MA-40, but they're close in that regard and the filters are both True HEPA 13. I hope that was helpful!

how long does the filter last for y'all because 4-5 months is my biggest turn off with the Medify thanks!

It’s based on how many hours you use the purifier. The filter is really efficient, and so it traps a lot. We replace ours every 6 months or so.

I have the MA112 with pets, non-ventilated basement, and allergies and I end up replacing filters every 3 months. Oftentimes, the air purifier will put out a different smell in air instead of crisp air smell. We probably run it 12 hours a day at most

The coupon no longer works. Maybe it expired.

The coupon code is HHOTB15 - I just tried it and it did work for $15 off a purchase. It can't be combined with other coupon codes, however. :)

@@Healthyhouseontheblock Your video is great. Lots of good info. /// Thanks for checking on the promo code. Might be because the price is reduced. I didn't use another coupon. (So you know, this is what it said: "Unable to find a valid discount matching the code entered.")
