I canceled my order for m3 pro and went with m2 pro (10cpu/16gpu) for $1600. $200 savings from m3 pro ($1800). Hopefully I made the right decision for dual pc stream, editing, and more.
If you currently have a MacBook pro, absolutely go ahead and start using that. However, as you move forward, you're probably going to find that you're not going to be able to do everything you need to using a MacBook pro and we'll need to upgrade to a full computer.
For any computer upgrade, you'll want the fastest chip you can afford, and as much memory as you can afford. That way you'll be able to use it longer, even as your needs change.
Thanks good vid :) One more consideration is the standard M3 Chips can only have one extra screen so might be a issue for some who like multiple screens :) when looking at the iMac :)
Good news! MacBook Pro with M2 Max or M3 Max chip MacBook Pro models introduced in 2023 or later with the M2 Max or M3 Max chip support up to four external displays simultaneously, based on the resolution (up to 8K) and refresh rate (up to 240Hz) of each external display. support.apple.com/en-us/HT213503
I’m after a new machine for console streaming via capture card. And then of course video editing. Would the M3 Air handle this ok? Or better off going with the M3 pro?
1. Most users don't want to build their own PC 2. Some users prefer macOS to Windows 3. These are laptops and all-in-ones that compete with similar spec PC options
@PaulDixon fair points, it's just one things I pointed out though. And if I'm honest I did had a laptop and never moved it once. I didn't say it's not the worst for production!
FWIW, prices on custom built PCs are not too much more than DIY build PC these days - and it saves you time too! Gives you the flexibility of choosing your specs to fit your needs at a good price!
I’ve been working off an M1 MacBook Pro. Really happy with it. It handles most of the YT things I do with ease. Sometimes a little slower than I’d like. But nothing compared to what it was before I got it. I will aim to hold off a generation or two.
While you can connect them without a capture card, if you're not happy with the quality that you get from that approach then you'd want to go ahead and move to a Cam Link 4K type solution.

Amazing, thank you for breaking this down into simple terms. Much appreciated.
Glad it was helpful! 🎉
I've got my eye on a Space Black MacBook Pro, but of course Apple reserved that colour option for the M3 Pro and the M3 Max.
I have a 2015 i7 Intel MacBook Pro. Thinking about upgrading to the M3 max but will it be enough if I decide to become a streamer on UA-cam or twitch?

Great review. I bought an M1 after watching this. I'll definitely upgrade in a year or so.
Great, hope you find it helpful!

Anyone know the highest specs to buy online for m3 max?

@@LiveStreamingPros thanks and YUP but I guess Apple needs to have a reason to want folks to upgrade if they need that option :)

You could get by with any M series macbook, it really just depends on your budget.
You'll do fine with a M but not any of the Air devices - the lack of a fan creates issues.
Do you is it make sense of 128Gb for m3 Max or 64 will be enough?
It depends on your particular needs/goals...
Im a new creator and i want to stream my art with a moving 2d character as my avatar. What would i need for that set up?
You can use Ecamm on Mac, vMix on PC, or Streamyard to do things like that.
Best wishes to you
♥
This is really interesting. I use Ecamm for all of my interviews. Would you recommend the Mac m3 max ??
Only if you need to replace your current Mac. If what you have is working for you - stick with it! 👍
WoW 😮👏👏 Fantastic 😊👍✌️ Fabulous 🤩 Awesome 😎 Great 🤯 Mind Blowing ℹ️ Information 👨🎓 Education
Thanks for watching 🎉
Those specs are not favorable since most of the prices are outrageous compared to building your own pc at cheaper price. Then again, it's apple.

@@PaulDixon Lol nobody streaming and playing games prefers a Mac, you're delusional.
Both M1 & M2 were lackluster chips.
@@djcetra who mentioned gaming? You think only gamers stream?

@@LiveStreamingPros Hey I'm Looking for a Mac to stream and make comics so What Mac is best for streaming minecraft java
Im thinking of buying the M3 MacBook Pro for streaming and editing short videos (30 minutes) Would the base specs be enough?
Hi! I want to stream mobile games using MacBook. I know I can connect iPad to Mac without capture card. Or do I still need it?
I do the same and you dont need a capture card. Just plug in your iPad to Mac and it should be one of the video sources in OBS
@@crimsondragon95 oh, thanks! What Mac do you have?

Amen.
