I have been using pliers for years to get the fuel filter out never knowing there was a screw to loosen the clamp lol. I used my Milwaukee cordless ratchet with the t30 you mentioned and it came right out. Thank you sharing this, you just made my life a whole lot easier lol. I drive 20k miles a month so yeah I change the fuel filter a lot lol.
thank you very much .... i live in canada and i have one oil change to my credit that i had done at mercedes ..... it cost me 1400 dollars ,with the information you have shared I am confident to replace the fuel filter and change the oil......... thanks
Excellent video that matches my 2019 Sprinter. Tip: Take care to avoid breaking fragile plastic T-connection for fuel return line that sits above fuel filter.
Thanks for the vid!!! Any ideas about how to fix a broken fuel return line t? When I pulled off the fuel lines going to the fuel filter, I hit the return line that is in front of it…. I broke the plastic t.
Thank you. Your instructions and video worked well, although in my case those hose clamps were easier to remove with a straight pick, inserting, and twisting. I had a hard time with the pick you were using. I lost that little hose clamp on that small plug that plugs into the right side of that electronics module. I'll have to call the dealer and see if I can get them to wrangle up a spare clip for me.
Hello, I have a 2019 Mercedes sprinter with 60,000 miles and the dealer tells me that I should change the oil in the transmission and differential, which would you recommend?
When I got this done at the dealer, I spoke to the tech and asked him about the procedure step by step. He mentioned that you can have problems if you reuse the turbo inlet gasket. He's worked on commercial vans serviced by Firestone, and he says that he's seen turbo damage due to gasket debris going into the turbo. What are your thoughts on this? Would you say it's safe to reuse the gasket if you put it back exactly the same way?
Excellent videos. I need to learn how to service my 2019 Freightliner. Do you by any chance teach mechanics? I would like to learn by making the change under the supervision of an expert? I travel all over the country. How much would you charge me to explain the procedure to me and supervise while I do it. I have paid up to $1200 for oil and filter change, fuel filter change and transmission oil change. Cheers
Hi All, anyone knows what should be done at 70k, nothing was done except the oil change, filters and oil change transmission,. What is a major service? Thank you
Great patience. Had to laugh when you said great place for them to put a fuel filter. It was in my head right when you said it LOL

Beautiful!!!! I think you may have just saved me about $1000 at the dealer!

Great video, glad I gave it a go.

Great camera work, much appreciated!
Big thanks for your video!!!
Great video, but what a pain in the rear. My 5.9 Cummins takes 5 min to change fuel filter.
Many video on issues side door? And ac issues?

Just make sure the gasket is in good shape and seated properly .
@@davidgross2971 Thank you
Better change it, it costs like 30$ , better than changing a 1500$ turbo
I got the same info from the Fletcher jones Mercedes Van Center in Newport Beach, CA. $20 at EuropartsSD for the gasket. $55 from the dealer.
Real good video. Thanks, it will be my reference.
I see your Dinan decal on the air cleaner lid. Are you using their products on your Sprinter?
Is the fuel line under pressure?

What is the parts number? WK820/15 or WK820/6? My original(2020 sprinter) is WK820/6, but your new filter looks like WK820/15

Thanks , it's helpful
Youd be my mechanic if I lived near you. Your videos are like what a dentist would have inside someones mouth. You make this look easy! Lol
It's the exact same as the 2015 V6 Sprinter!
Awesome video. I have 2019 4x4 approaching 10K. Looking do as much maintenance myself as I possibly can.
Hey is this a 2500 or a 3500
Do you have the part number for that filter?
Thnks for doing this
@13:38, are you sure the two clamps are reusable?
Nope, better get new ones.
My 2019 Speedometer and RPM display area looks slightly different from yours. Steering wheel controls ae the same.
How often do you have to replace the fuel filter?
20k - 30k miles
You should have removed the part held down with torx bolts
NEVER reuse factory hose clamps
Why ?
Thank you!!!!
It works
Just paid 600$ at the dealer for this job 😂 and 1200 for front rotors and brakes 😂
Stamp a S for sucker on your forehead
This is not a 2019
