Do Bong-soon (Park Bo-young) was born with superhuman strength. Her strength is hereditary and passed along only to the women in her family. Her dream is to create a video game with herself as the main character. She desperately wants to become a delicate and elegant woman, which is the ideal type of her crush, In Guk-doo (Ji Soo), a police officer. Thanks to her strength, she gets a job as bodyguard to rich heir Ahn Min-hyuk (Park Hyung-sik), the CEO of a gaming company, Ainsoft. A series of kidnapping cases happen in Dobong-dong, the district Bong-soon lives in, and she is determined to catch the culprit, who targeted her best friend. With help and training from Min-hyuk, she manages to control her strength to use it for good causes. Min-hyuk and Bong-soon find their relationship growing into something more. Their relationship at work and in pursuit of the kidnapper creates comical and dangerous situations, which bring them closer.

Min Hyuk being bridal styled by Bong Soon is such an iconic moment 😂 he's the ultimate damsel in destress in kdramas. This episode really gives so much depth to his character. He remained a child (not really in a toxic way) and he's learning to mature up, relay on someone when there's literally everyone trying to get rid of him and he just wants little love in life. He isn't even weak, he's just unfortunate to circumstances. As its shown, he's really determined to find the one who's after his life and face his fears instead of running from them.
Tbh, between Minhyuk and Bong soon, I find DBS more childish. Minhyuk had to mature way too early because of his unfortunate upbringing. I think his lifestyle now is a way to heal his inner child. He's pretty mature in all the scenarios that really matter but he's also pretty carefree otherwise. On the other hand, DBS is starting to take her responsibilities more seriously and in general be less of whiny brat (sorry, I just mean it very mildly like how she was in ep 1)

Min Hyuk and Bong Soon are the ultimate cuties and most iconic cutest kdrama couple, they set the bars really high when it comes to romcom.

It's extremely rude to "casually" address people older than u or people u don't know. U just don't just talk to strangers that way. Notice her "lackeys" didn't have an issue with the ball hitting her. They only got up when that other kid opened his mouth and demanded for the ball

23:52 no. Korea cuisine uses mainly chopsticks. Depending on what you eat and how you're raised you wouldn't know how to use western utensils like forks and knives. Idk if you've seen actual footage outside of K-Dramas but there are SO many videos of people in East Asia using chopsticks/spoons to eat cakes, pancakes, and many other desert items.
yeah i had the same sentiments as director regarding the police guy's gf & the brother. the brother doesnt feel like hes doing anything wrong bc hes under the assumption police guy is aware too. the gf tho, shes knowingly lying and doing this. maybe adorkable missed that part with this.

This is the drama that got me into kpop, one of the songs "Double trouble couple" i loved it back in 2019 and it was just cute and fun. So i looked it up and it was by a group called Mamamoo- that was when my kpop HOLEEE STARTED
In america using fork and a knife is a normal thing. But in South Korea, they usually eat with a chopstick. Fork and a knife are usually only used in formal settings. The gangster was trying to show he was a "serious businessman" and not just some gangster... And obviously, he failed miserably because he doesn't know how to use fork and knife and only used knife as a tool to threaten people. I guess that was the joke ?which, I guess, is relatable to asian people? or at least to me, because I do feel that type of pressure when in formal settings, and I had to pretend I know how to use fork and knife when I've never used them my whole life. And then I end up looking that stupid. I know you can't relate to that, but just imagine the first time you used chopstick and you had no idea what you were doing. That was the joke. It's not really funny when you explain it lol.

Thank you for your great reaction video. I report to you that Do-Bong Dong is one of the villages that is very much underated within Seoul, different from Gangnam. It is located near big mountains and a river with good amount of water. Because of the great nature, the development of the village is not well processed for a long time by the city hall. So the writer made the village as a background of Do Bong Soon and made a comical twist for the place.

@@dawnnn444 you're right. The mom did say homophobic stuffs but that doesn't mean that the whole show was homophobic. Infact this show was premiered during that time in Korea when LGBTQ+ communities were not as appreciated as they were back then. But yes, the mom was homophobic.
