Thank you for this post, but you must have the e-break off for it to move when you release the neutral bypass. I have a 2019 F-pace with 156,000 miles that our local jaguar dealer takes care of every 10,000 miles.

Bro that was funny!!! Be careful with those clips to release it back into park they’re super flimsy! You can buy a Honda, make sure it’s an older Honda cause the new ones need a tool 😂 I can’t stand these dial shifters and that they put the neutral override anywhere but inside the car. Sure put it in neutral from under the hood and have the vehicle go rolling on ya.
Yeah I don’t get these f paces but like once a year and the neutral design is so infuriating to me that I had to go full sarcasm on it. Hahaha

👍thanks today on the rd a Jaguar f pace had broken down ie radiator probs blown I was cycling 🚴♀️ by and offered to help ie traffic queues but it was impossible to push I said release the hand brake but I couldn’t move it and hurt my back and had to call it a day was stuck what do you think ? also it was a car 🚗 new 💪

Wouldn’t the park brake be on while you are putting the car in neutral?
typically this procedure would be used if there is a loss of key or the vehicle cannot be powered up. So without those two things, you never know if the electronic parking brake had been set before the vehicle stopped running/or was shut off the last time.
Got a 19 or 20 f pace, and I believe right when you put car in park the e brake automatically comes on 🤷♂️

By todays standarss, that's nowhere near the dumbest neutral out there.... at least it has one... some new vehicles have none or it's unusable on the side of the road or in bad weather or without crawling underneath... which no tow truck driver will do for safety reasons.... this is far from the best, but definitely not the worst.... thanks for sharing
Could be worse like bmw, you have to go under the car, remove the covers, turn the screw and pray you dont get run over your own car!
yeah the BMW dealerships tend to really frown on us doing that sort of thing unfortunately...

Most of the time the neutral bypass is put in place according to the generation of the vehicle, you know like this year to that year when they made the car… So the best thing to do is refer to your owners manual to see where yours is.
If you notice, on that switch, there’s a little yellow book looking icon, that’s telling you to refer to the owners manual to figure out what that particular thing is and how it works. So, if you have a jaguar from a different generation, it may be in a different place.
Imagine if there's no blade key just remote then you can't pop hood and can't undo handbrake rendering the bypass useless (another stupid idea) must leave doors unlocked or you're screwed if battery dies while locked!
And to the next guy that might go through this situation there are two lessons here. Only the rear wheels are locked by the EPB and purchase two wheel skates as stated in the manual!
yeah for sure. I keep four skates on the truck. Never know when you are going to get one of these 2023 models they are starting to release that have no key, no neutral bypass and dead in the water with the electronic parking brake set.

@@Bigpinktowtruck yeah tell that to my last tow truck driver it took us an extra hour to get it off had to use a forklift to lift the rear wheels smh..
@@AK88. nothing a little dish soap, skates and a reverse snatch couldnt have handled?
also why i always try to load the locked wheels to the headache rack if possible, the momentum and weight along with the free wheels rolling first helps it down easier that way.
@@Bigpinktowtruck that's what's usually done on a flat bed yes but they sent one of those roll up trailers with the holes in the tracks and no skates lol
