Sourcing is almost certainly WNBC archive acetates to 15ips reel.
Tape is a pancake therefore tape stock couldn't be determined.
I cut out the intro and outro announcement and the station indent at the end.
Uploaded at 24/96 mono. Hopefully youtube doesn't crush it too much. It's an outstanding recording, especially given that it was not recorded to tape.
After doing a little research, it appears that this recording has nearly vanished from existence. I found no record of it being released on anything.
I was able to find out the details of the performance recorded.

I don't have the other two pieces from the performance.
This tape was a royal pain to make playable. The tape pack had separated in the storage box. I got the tape to sit as flat as possible to move it to a different hub when I found that the existing hub was undersized. I'd never run into that before. I found a way to clamp it down but it wobbled all over. I knew when I got to the part that separated I'd need to cut/splice it and that a little of the tape around it would be pinched.
With it now off on another spool, I could run it.
The cut/splice area falls between movements and is not noticeable. The tape is now wound tight and smooth on another hub. It was worth the work and now is safely packed away should it need to be played again.
Je suis un ancien altiste amateur qui n'a pas encore eu la volonté de défricher cette partition difficile ; j'admire l'interprétation de Primerose , mais de nombreux altistes s'y sont prêtés depuis ,avec bonheur comme Tabea Zimmermann ou Antoine Tamestit .
