  • Water flows to the lowest point, the sun rises in the east, and campfire smoke will always find you: Hunters recognize and come to rely on these and countless other laws of nature through experience in the field. Eternal truth is not only found in the field. God's laws and principles are constantly revealed to all who seek them.
Two Alaska moose hunts served to remind guide, Billy Molls, that those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

Love the humbleness of Mark the surfer dude. Something about him reminds me of John Denver ❤ So humble.
The 1st guy Joe was totally annoying, he didn't listen to you at all.
Thank you, Billy ... Congratulations 🎉 Mark 🎉

Wow Mark!! It’s been a long time… Justin here, we shot some clays at Merced many years ago. I can’t say you’re the very last guy Id expect to see in a video with Billy, but this was one hell of a surprise!! It appears this hunt was a decade or so ago, regardless, congrats man, very stoked for you!

Everything you spoke of in remembrance of young Mark and the accolades you blessed him with, is something I experience every time I watch one of your videos. I lived the narrative of your videos. I turned 66 a couple days ago and I'm all crippled up now, so my hunting days are behind me. The experience, though, is very much alive through your videos. I praise God for the time He gave me doing what you do as a job.
I never tried to change "your doctrine," Billy. If you feel that "your doctrine" is in jeopardy, you are missing the most important thing. The "WORD is the doctrine". It's not mine or yours to change. Mk 7:7, Dan 7:25
You are still in my prayers daily. May God bless you and your family.

Great message JackfishBill at 66 there may be some things you can still do to reverse some of the issues you're facing. Although I have no idea what you're facing health wise, a lot of older men have been able to reverse a lot of issues by starting testosterone replacement therapy. It has done wonders for a lot of older men. Just wanted to pass that on in case it's something you haven't looked into already. God bless!

Also maybe look into stem cell therapy. That can do wonders as well, but I'm not sure of the cost.

I have watched most of your videos. Back in the late 70s I worked as a packer in the Brooks Range for a few seasons. I remember hunters would come and go and for the most part they were pretty good people. We had one guy who won a dall sheep hunt from the Rocky Mountain chapter of the safari club. This guy could never have afforded this hunt and on his second day he killed a monster ram. He stayed the rest of the 14 day hunt and packed 2 sheep for us. Best guy I ever hunted with. Thanks for the video it brings back memories of a fantastic chapter in my life.

I'm writing this comment as I watch this video, and as I watched the first hunt and you explained how this client was acting, I was reminded of a Proverb," Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips."
Then as I watch the rookie hunter Mark, he no doubt must feel like this is so easy, but if he keeps hunting he will run into guides with far fewer skills that's for sure! Hahaha this hunter is priceless to listen to! Man, Mark is a great guy but he DO NOT realize yet what a trophy he has!
    Super job guiding Billy!

Some tremendously deep lessons in this offering - thank you. I plan to watch it multiple times this year - I’m sure I have many lessons yet to learn. Let the weak say I am strong- let the poor say I am rich … the grass withers and the flower fades - but the Word of God endures ….. forever. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us.

Billy your comments are honest and that,s appreciated. The vast number of hunters are good people and would always follow your lead but sometimes a hunter knows it all and is an obnoxious individual. Mark was his anthesis, happy to be there and an animal was the bonus. Great story telling Billy.

Excellent video, Billy! Love the radio dialogue between you and the pilots, the discussions with your client, and the pure candidness of the video. It shows a little better the reality of hunting in Alaska and the true time that it takes to accomplish things. The lesson at the end reminded me of 1 Peter 5:6, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”

Another amazing adventure! You hunting with Marc reminded me of hunting with my girlfriend the past two years. She decided big game was her next step and drew an elk tag. Going through the basics and explaining what and why we were doing things was more enjoyable for me then expected. She's been able to put elk down two years in a row and I'm pretty sure I get more excited for her than I do myself when hunting. We really need to pass hunting on to anyone that is interested. Your videos really help to do that. Alaska is on my bucket list and you have a lot to do with that after watching pretty close to all your videos.

Mark was so refreshing. I have been in camps with people like Joe that just totally wrecked the whole experience. I was so fortunate to be able to mentor my sons and their friends in big game hunting. That started over 50 years ago . I just had one of them, tell me How important our time was growing up . He is our oldest son's best friend since they were 4 years old. It is such a blessing to be able to see the appreciation in them. Not for my ego, but to see their love and appreciation. I've said this many times. I would rather watch someone else harvest a duck , deer, elk, moose , mountain goat or whatever . I get to see the whole experience.

Really happy that a guy like Mark would allow himself to enjoy the wild. Coming from his part of the world it refreshing to see he wanted to at least try it and see if it was for him. Mark expressing his mixed emotions when he walked up on his first big game kill was exactly what you hope to hear. Having a MOOSE for his first kill had to be surreal because that moose was huge. Great job guys. Mark, you may or may not ever go on another big game hunt, but at least you know why the rest of us love it so much. Congratulations.

First an foremost what a beautiful experience for both of u guys, but also if people could put this situation in the game of life , what a better experience it would be for so many. Take something u have never done, have very little pre conceived thoughts , but some an take the new experience in such a positive way an just enjoy the experience to the fullest an do different with the things u wanna change an the possibility s would be endless for many people. Put some onions in a pan sometimes a little bit of bacon cook it and then make a really dark gravy with mashed potato and it was just so good to eat. It was all fresh. The other thing is we used to get a lot of red deer sometimes if they’ve been on good feed clover and such tasted like beef very very lean if they’ve been browsing on native plant very game tasting always wondered what moose tasted l like I have heard like very good beef🦌👍 enjoy your videos keep them coming thank you❤
