I always knew that "Christmas" was NOT the true birth of Jesus, but as a society we've been duped into believing it was. Knowing the latitude of Israel and the passage about the shepherds being in the field meant it they were not freezing.

I never thought about the meaning of the names of the months, but I have thought for a long time that the new year should be spring. (I did know that sept means seven, and so forth, but I never questioned that they don't line up.) That makes the most sense to me. The year dies with the end of winter and begins anew with the advent of spring and new life. I knew that the calendar had been reworked. I have also noticed that even on our reworked calendars, the first day of the week is Sunday, not Monday. I have wondered about that but haven't researched it.
Thank you for sharing this information. I know so little about the Jewish faith, and yet, the Bible was written by Jews. (The OT and most of the NT.) I don't know about other Christians, but I am very interested in it. I think there are many layers in God's Word and not having that foundational knowledge makes it harder for us to go deeper. I do believe that the Holy Spirit enables our understanding. Even so, I appreciate the insight you bring us. I know that God had a reason for every word in the Bible. It is helpful to know why. So, thank you again for providing these teachings to us.

Hi Jonathan, I may have missed it, but nothing was said about today's Hebrew calendar being a lunar calendar. While the ancient calendar starting on Nisan 1 is a solar calendar, with 360 days (plus 4 days), this is a very important distinction. The ancient calendar vs the "modern" calendar was changed by the rabbis to hide Jesus from the people of Israel. May God continue to bless and keep you.
The same happened with Passover, the Jewish people changed to the next month.. APRIL, instead of March

sometimes Passover is in March (just check the dates of the past decade alone!). It varies between March and April each year, just as the fall feasts vary between Sept/Oct each year.

I believe that I have a generational curse bc their is no way to detect if this disorder will Surface but yet drs say it's in my DNA. It goes back to 4 generations yet no one has it but me in my generation. It comes from my mother's side yet it didn't effect her cousins etc at all. There's all sickness and diseases on her side from mental, drugs/drinking to cancer and every thing in between. My family has had more premature deaths that anyone should ever see over many generations.
God answers all my prayers and healed me of many ailments but not this one. People always come to me and my mother to pray for them. Some people say I'm favored, but yet, not this cerebellar degeneration. I need to have this curse broken. After 12 years of praying to be physically healed, it came to me today bc I am not sick. I've been praying for the wrong thing. That's why prayers go unanswered, laying hands on me didn't work or pastors that have the gift of healing couldn't cast this out of me. I need to know the proper prayers. Maybe you know someone if not you that knows what I can do

A few years ago, I started celebrating new year in the spring because Jesus resurrected in the spring, and to me that was new life, a time to reflect, and a starting point to spiritual resolutions and goals for that year. Wasn’t until later that I learned there’s way more to that than just a personal choice

Rabbi Cahn, this is so good as usual. A couple years now the Holy Spirit has been sharing things with me like the timeline is off. I look it up, I find out it's true and that I did hear the Lord correctly then I hear a message from you that you already preached on it or you have a message. I just started celebrating Nisan 1 as my new year and Yeshua's birthday. I am inclined to believe it for many reasons including the fact that this is the day the Tabernacle and Temple were raised up or built. I love your message. Can't wait to hear the rest of this sermon.
For a number of years I have wondered why the Jewish People bring in their New Year in the Fall of the year, not the Spring as God commanded the Israelites in Exodus. I still don't know why they changed it or when. Could it have been forced on them by the early 'church' leaders in the 3rd to 5th centuries AD when the 'church' removed almost everything "Jewish" from the Christian 'religion'?

The disciples and early Christians/believers did everything on Jewish Holy days until Rome and Roman Catholic changed everything! I read the Maccabes 1 &2. I wonder while the two all of those books from the Bible! How about Jasher, Enoch and others? The hatred of the Jews led them Rome and Catholic to change everything!
