  • I finally upgraded from my 2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO, I recently purchased the 2022 Polaris Sportsman 450 HO. I initially was looking for a Sportsman 570, but I never had an issue of being underpowered with my old wheeler, and the 450 has about the same horsepower. In this video I will do a walkaround on the new Polaris 450 HO.

    I have a 2021, same model just blue, and I love mine, they also now sell a underseat storage bad that takes the space of the old rear storagr and you access it from the front at the back of the seat, and might actually have a little more room and keeps it hidden, also added a small tool box to the front, small enough so the light still shines over

    I looked at one of these last year. I needed an ATV for plowing my private road (About 1/8th mile) and parking area. Local Dealer wanted $11k for the quad with winch and plow. I think I was stuck with the EPS model as it was all they had. I passed and found a lightly used 03 Suzuki Eiger for $2K. It only had 1160 miles and was like new. Even the original tires were still like new. Put hot Grips on it and its been a great machine. The Polaris was just too much for me, unfortunately.

    • @After5Outdoors
      @After5Outdoors  2 роки тому

      Sorry for the delay, YT held your comment for review... I think that actually the 500 felt a bit snappier, but not by alot. I do like this model a bit better, I think this one rides a bit better, the big thing for me is this one should start in low temps and have better electrical output. So far I think they are very comparible.

    • @After5Outdoors
      @After5Outdoors  Рік тому

      Well...honestly it depends on the previous owner, and what you intend to use it for, if you live in a cold climate, highly recommend fuel injection. My 2013 didn't start if it was about 10 Fahrenheit or colder. Or if you plan to plow snow with it, the lights will dim as the older ones didn't have the electrical output. Some guys liked the 570s between 2014 and 19 and some didn't. It really depends on alot of different things but those were big selling points for me. A new 450 is gonna be about 9k with power steering and probably about 8k without, out the door with taxes and all. Hope this helps

    • @Dabrant29
      @Dabrant29 Рік тому +1

      @@After5Outdoors It does, In your experience- Can you Negotiate an ATV Like a Car ? Or is there no flexibility at all- I am just curious iF i keep saving if I get close to the 7-8k mark if they move at all maybe when new models come out etc

    • @After5Outdoors
      @After5Outdoors  Рік тому

      @@Dabrant29 it's a pretty set price. I don't think you'll get em to move. That price is for a 450, a 570 will be even more
