  • This walk takes in the four munros to the west of the A9 at Drumochter. Sgairneach Mhor, Beinn Udlamain, Geal-charn and A' Mharconaich. The weather forecast had us change venue at the last minute for tops further east and we settled for The Pass of Drumochter. With the car parked at 400m to this group makes for an enjoyable day without any major ascents.

Loving these films. Not a hillwalker myself but my daughter and son are and this makes me feel closer to them. Thank you for that.

6 hours only! Jeez thats a day and a half Charlie. They are great Munros i must admit, With amazing views over to Alder etc. I was quite near over at Geal Charn bagging my first of the Monadhliaths yesterday, But i had the same haze so i didnt get the views i wanted. But as i got great footage of some low flying eagles and meeting Cameron Mcneish for a wee chat i soon cheered up LOL! Another great film from C&M again, All the best, peter.

Thanks, Charlie. Sometimes it’s the unspectacular hills that give great views. I’ll bet not many people bother with those hills, but well worth the effort.

Great trip, magnificent views of the Ben Alder range. Last time I was on Dalwhinnie train platform (the glorious Easter of 2014) there was a pair of red legged partridge dancing about each other.

Great day out Charlie with lovely views despite the haze in the distance. The dry conditions certainly help on the big round hills but I think nothing would slow you two down when you say go lol. Great video again Charlie & Mike, thanks for sharing. Mick.

Thanks for the video Charlie! I was up at 5am ready to drive up to do this group yesterday as well but the flu sent me back to bed. Would have been a "small world" moment bumping into you up there haha. Perhaps in the future. Thanks for showing me what i missed out on! 😁 ATB, Kris.
