    That was comparison between Federer and Djoko, when Tony basically said .... With Federer we know how should Nadal play, what should he do to win, but with Djokovic we don't know!

      For federer they knew that one hand backhand is less strong. This was the difference.

    Two of the best players in tennis ever. The only ones in tennis who play the game: Anything you can do, I can do better. They have a lot of similarities and differences in their game. They both can play incredible defense. They have different weapons. One is a master in forehand, top spin heavy, which is his biggest advantage or disadvantage, the other guy on backhand and flat shots. One is a clay court master, other hard courts and has been better on grass. Sometimes Djokovic can be too agressive and that can get him in trouble, while Rafa is more patient. I am a Rafa fan from the beginning of his career and will always be, but I have to say that Djokovic has been more dominant, consistently on all surfaces, not that Rafa cannot be good on all of them, but outside of clay Djokovic won more. After he eliminated Rafa from French open, I can't do anything, except respect greatness. I hope Rafa will be motivated for vengeance.

    • @anwaremritte
      @anwaremritte 3 роки тому +3

      @Nikolai Ninkov. Yes respect greatness. Novak can play on all surfaces better except Clay where Nadal is the master. However Novak is good on all surfaces. He might just become the first player to win the Gran Slam twice in the Open era. He also has won all tournaments on the ATP tour. I think 9. He has the highest number of weeks at the top . So whether we like it or not we must respect him. I mean to come back from 0-5 down in first set snd win the next 3 sets against the Clay master in his own backyard well he must be someone else. Mentally he is very very strong. Chapeau.

      Nikolai, what a balanced comments from you! I'm a big Novak fan, but I have immense respect for Rafa. Even though, we just can't ignore Roger, the most gracious player ever to hold tennis racquet, when it comes to sheer dominance on the court, mental toughness and physical strength, Novak and Rafa are just greatest. The only difference is when Rafa plays against Novak, he makes more mistake. May be I'm wrong here, but I feel that way. Sometimes, he misses even simple valleys, which he can close his eyes and pass it on if it's someone else is on the other side.

    From a Nadal fan, everything that Djokovic has achieved has been in the midst of Nadal´s and Federer tyranny. That says a lot of the kind of player he is. He has a more aggressive, defensive and mental game than the other two. He will be the GOAT. However, as all 3 are unique in their ways I believe we should say we will have 3 GOATS in tennis modern era. Hats off to Novak though. He overcome the toughest challenge in men´s sport and yet being a set point down in the 3rd after a great comeback by Nadal. Love tennis and cant wait to see all these guys back in Wimbledon and US Open hopefully. On a final note, very sad for Tsitsipas, he has the game and tenacity to be nº1 many years. From the next gen group apart from Thiem, he´s my favourite. Seems mentally stronger than Danil, sasha and Thiem at the minute.

  • @elbatipibe111
    @elbatipibe111 2 роки тому

    The reason is easy, the top spin of nadal can hurt one hand backhand from federer, that is the only way to defeat him. For djokovic that top is harmless
