fire gregg, he never should have been rehired. Fire his brother too!
That moment when he tells the boys it's 1 - 1, and they immediately concede, will go down in Legend with not making the 2018 WC.
Agreed. But I think the word you meant was infamy. :)
It seems that GGG has never once taken *full* accountability for anything. He creates a loser’s mentality by mentioning another game to the players at half. What a sad state of affairs for our team and fans. I pray we can save our potential for 2026. Leave it to the US to become the first hosts in Copa America history to get grouped.
Hot seat? Screw that. He needs to be gone.
A halfway competent federation would've fired Gregg within 48 hours of the US being bounced in a weak group. The message to the fans is 'F you'. And at a certain point the fans should be blamed for continuing to support this.
I defended Berhalter until the 2022 World Cup by saying that a full cycle was needed to judge. After his defeat against the Netherlands I thought he had shown his limits. And since then we have seen that he continues to make the same mistakes as against the Netherlands. He hasn't learned anything, if you don't adapt you die.
The most serious thing for me is that he is looking for excuses for his losts. Normally the coach must take responsibility in public, in front of the press. It's in the locker rooms that he yells at his players.
Gregg messed up before Netherlands by not taking a competent 9 (Pepe > Sargent) and leaving his best attacking midfielder (Gio Reyna) off the roster as well over documented personal animus. And yes, he has no in-game management competency as well. The Netherlands game was still very winnable.
It's crucial that the Members of the USSF Board undergo a thorough evaluation. The problems start from the top, and we currently have ineffective leadership and no ambitious, visionary plan. Additionally, are there limitations on what we can pay the men's coach? Is it true that we can't offer a competitive salary for a top-tier manager because the men's coach cannot earn more than the women's coach, even though these are entirely different markets?
• Cindy Parlow Cone
• Nathán Goldberg Crenier
• JT Batson
• John Collins
• Lisa Carnoy
• Fritz Marth
• John Motta
• Carlos Cordeiro
• Don Garber
These board members are responsible for guiding the strategic direction and governance of U.S. Soccer. Changes need to be made and the noise needs to continue until something meaningful happens.
More of this please...
Fired Gregg
Under Berhalter, the US rarely win games on the road and have never won a game against a top 20 team except for Mexico. Absolutely unacceptable.
Fire this bland coach. Get some energy!
Didnt like the referee, fire him too
This guys "expert" is no expert. Berhalter should never have been hired. American arrogance is the problem.
Has the black dude ever seen a ⚽️ game?
Ref was trans.
GGG hasn't beaten one good team
