May September, October is the best time to visit Athens
@@carios9889 Hi! Thanks for the input ☺️ Why is this the best months? 😍
@@Destinavigator Less tourists and more important low temperature
@@carios9889 Aahh, yes, of course 😜 The highest temperature I have experienced is 46c and the asphalt was melting 🫠 Insane 😓🤯
Come, we need to charge you 😂😂😂😂
@@tsifty1 I’m actually going to Crete next year in April 👌🏼🇬🇷
01:06 - The Acropolis Museum was not 'Recently renovated' ! ... It is a newlly built museum to host the delicate Art works of the Parthenon and to protect them from the elements and also air polution.
In addition, to host the Parthenon marbles (art works) from the British Museum which were stollen by Lord Elgin after he defaced the Parthenon. The British Museum Claimed that Greece did not have a proper place to guard the art works, therefore, it was not returning them. Now they must find some other reasons for not returning the art works ! I am sure they will ! But we will insist ! The Vatican Museum returned a small part of the Parthenon ... It had no usefor it !
@@JimmyTheGreek2000 Wooow, thank a lot for pointing this out ☺️ You seem to have a lot of knowledge about Greece my friend ❤️ Did they demolish the entire museum and then rebuild it?
@@Destinavigator The old museum was on the Acropolis hill, next to the flag. It is a very discreet construction, almost invisible but not big enough to host all the sculptures.
@@giotadetsi45 Aahh yes 👍🏼 Thank you for this 😍 And thanks for watching and commenting! ❤️ I hope you are doing well my friend! Do you live in Greece? 🇬🇷
@@Destinavigator Yes, more specifically in Athens. I thank you for the lovely presentation of Athens 🥰🥰!
@@giotadetsi45 Ahh, lucky you 😁🥰🇬🇷☀️
A must seen country 👍🏼
@@rini2708 it’s a very interesting place indeed! Imagine seeing something that is built almost 2500 years ago, like the Parthenon 🏛️
@@Destinavigator yes that’s true 🥰.
As a Greek & Athenian, I would like to thank you for the video tribute you made.
@@N_G_S_R Hi! 👋🏼 And I would like to thank you for this wonderful comment and for watching the video! 🥰 Greece truly is a magical country and Athens is such an incredible city! 🇬🇷🏛️

Except our ears are bleeding from the terrible mispronunciation of the names of places
@@sakisgr1396 Oh 😔 I’m so sorry 😢 Greece is a hard language 😏😀
I understand but it helps to ask some natives on how place names are pronounced…
Thanks, enormously, for an outstanding interpretation of the cradle of civilisation. Your explanation and pronunciation of Greek names and objects and the clarity of speech is next to none. I couldn’t do it better, keep up the good work, ten out of ten! ❤, Georgios,Crete, Norwich, 🇬🇷✝️🇬🇧
@@georgemandilakis5630 WOW! Thank you so so so much for this very kind comment 😍❤️ This really made me day, even week and years! Thank you so much and I hope you have a fantastic life with the amount of love you deserve ❤️❤️❤️
Athens is an ugly city, and definitely one of the most chaotic and dirty in Europe. There are some nice parts though, as shown in the video...
@@Pete-uo1ei Aaw 😔 Im sorry to that is your experience from Athens 😕 Is there any other city in Greece you prefer? ☺️
Don't believe the hype.
@@georgegeorgakopoulos5956 what, again? 😬😬 What hype? 😮💨😍

@@zarmadi8809 Hmmm, Greece in Malaysian? 🇲🇾🇬🇷🤔🤩
Awesome video
@@maitravel1928 Thank you so much! 🥹 I truly appreciate this comment ❤️ It means a lot to me! It really does! 🥰🥰
The city is great to visit but not to live in. Because the local authorities are a disaster. Garbage, graffiti, abandoned buildings. The city's roads and pavements require maintenance, and the crosswalks must be repainted to match European standards.
@@giannisperiklidakis5051 Man 😔 That is very, VERY sad to hear 🙁 Has it always been like this or what happen? I remember my trips as literally fairytales 😍
You are mistaken....you are not qualified enough to live there, that's why you say ut
