This is not a pendolino anymore. The tilting mechanism has been removed from this class of trains (as well as from the Greek 470). Now it's just a regular EMU.
Of course. It was an hydraulic system, prone to faults and expensive to repair (same for the 470, who had a special tilting mechanism created together with the SBB because of the particular conformation of the Sviss tracks). The only ones with the tilting mechanism are the 485's and the 600 and 610 ETR.
Three years ago I was on this same route in First Class to get to the cruise port with my family; I found the ride to be pleasant - the only downside was that it was there were only stairs available upon arrival at the platform in Civitavecchia and it was certainly not convenient when carrying a bunch of large pieces of luggage...especially when I was the only younger person around and had to do the carrying! It is kind of surprising how the trains don't seem to use the platform that is closest to the station house considering the amount of cruise passengers arriving into this station that are invariably going to have plenty of larger pieces of luggage and forced to haul their bags up and down stairwells and tunnels.
Of this type of train (Pendolino 3rd Gen) I have only used the one in the Czech Republic, but many many times so I’m quite used to them and I definitely like them. Thank you, nonstop eurotrip! So, the introduction of your video is not long, since you show us essential things: the entrance to the station, the station. It is very important for me. I like when you show the station. You explain well. On the other hand, I am a little disappointed for your presentation of the train, or more precisely of the seat of the train. You went a little too fast and for example, if you know what I mean, you did not measure if the distance between the seat and the other was sufficient enough with you. I don't know if you took advantage of this (short) trip. In my opinion, it is very expensive. Especially for such a short trip. I would have taken the train much cheaper than you showed us. In addition, he stops more times !!! Too cool for a train fanatic. Your conclusion is excellent, but in my opinion you did not focus enough on the train this time. Anyway, I had more the impression that you were on vacation on this train, in other words that you were taking care of other things. But hey, the video is good anyway, don't worry. I liked. Η Βουλευτής Β3 Νοτίου Τομέα Αθηνών Σοφία Σακοράφα κατέθεσε στις 13/1/2021 ερώτηση προς τον Υπουργό Υποδομών & Μεταφορών (της Ελλάδας), κ. Κωνσταντίνο Καραμανλή σχετικά με την προμήθεια των νέων αμαξοστοιχιών από την ΤΡΑΙΝΟΣΕ: Το κείμενο της ερώτησης: Σε πρόσφατα δημοσιεύματα του τύπου, τα οποία έχουν -μάλιστα- σχεδόν πανηγυρικό τόνο, ανακοινώνεται η προμήθεια από την ΤΡΑΙΝΟΣΕ πέντε αμαξοστοιχιών, με τη νέα ονομασία “Λευκό Βέλος”, που αναφέρονται ως τρένα “πρώτης γενιάς”, με αναφερόμενο κόστος 52 εκατομμύρια ευρώ. Το πρώτο από αυτά θα φτάσει από την Ιταλία στη Θεσσαλονίκη στις 18 Ιανουαρίου 2021, ενώ το πρώτο του δρομολόγιο προγραμματίζεται για την 25η Μαρτίου, “με αφορμή τον εορτασμό 200 ετών από την επανάσταση του 1821”, σύμφωνα με τις επίσημες ανακοινώσεις. Στα δημοσιεύματα εξαιρείται η δυνατότητα σε αριθμό επιβατών, ότι διαθέτουν βαγόνι - εστιατόριο και ότι μπορούν να αναπτύξουν ταχύτητες 200 χλμ./ω (στο ελληνικό δίκτυο ως 160), Η πραγματικότητα, δυστυχώς δεν ανταποκρίνεται καθόλου στον πανηγυρικό τόνο των ανακοινώσεων και των δημοσιευμάτων. Τα πραγματικά δεδομένα δημιουργούν, τουλάχιστον, έντονο προβληματισμό: Πρόκειται για αυτοκινητάμαξες της σειράς ETR (Elettro Treno Rapido) 470, ιταλο-ελβετικής κατασκευής, μεταξύ 1993 και 1996, συνολικά εννέα (9) τον αριθμό, που διατέθηκαν αρχικά προς χρήση στην Ελβετία. Τα αποτελέσματα ήταν απογοητευτικά, κυρίως λόγω των συχνών και πολλαπλών βλαβών τους, ενώ είχαν και υψηλότατο κόστος συντήρησης (4 φορές μεγαλύτερο από τα τρένα InterCity). Η οριστική απόφαση για απόσυρσή τους ελήφθη όταν ένα από αυτά κάηκε, στις 17 Μαΐου 2009. Ο εκπρόσωπος της Ελβετικής Ένωσης Μεταφορών και Περιβάλλοντος τα χαρακτήρισε - τότε - ως «μη άξια των Ελβετικών Ομοσπονδιακών Σιδηροδρόμων» ενώ ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος των Ε.Ο.Σ. δήλωσε ότι ήθελε «να τερματίσει αυτήν τη φρίκη» (!) Έτσι, το 2009, όλες αυτές οι αυτοκινητάμαξες πέρασαν οι 4 στην ελβετική SBB και οι 5 στην ιταλική Trenitalia. Το Μάιο του 2011 η SBB ανακοίνωσε ότι δικά της 4 οχήματα θα αποσυρθούν, μέχρι το τέλος του 2015, λόγω του εκσυγχρονισμού του τροχαίου υλικού της. Τον Απρίλιο του 2014, η μία από αυτές ακινητοποιήθηκε οριστικά και χρησιμοποιήθηκε για την παροχή ανταλλακτικών για τις άλλες 3. Παρά τις έντονες προσπάθειες της εταιρείας, δεν κατάφερε να βρει αγοραστή για να τις μεταβιβάσει, ούτε στην Ανατολική Ευρώπη, και αναγκάστηκε να τις διαλύσει, όλες, στις αρχές του 2016. Οι υπόλοιπες 5 αυτοκινητάμαξες εξακολούθησαν να χρησιμοποιούνται στην Ιταλία, μετά δε το 2016 στη γραμμή Ρώμη - Ρέτζιο Καλάμπρια. Αυτούς τους συρμούς έρχεται, πλέον, να αγοράσει η ελληνική ΤΡΑΙΝΟΣΕ (!!). Πρόκειται για πλήρως απαξιωμένο υλικό, αποτυχημένο κατά τη χρήση του, για το οποίο δεν είχε βρεθεί αγοραστής μέχρι να εμφανιστεί η πρόθυμη ΤΡΑΙΝΟΣΕ και για το λόγο αυτό, μάλιστα, οι μισοί σχεδόν συρμοί αυτού του τύπου έχουν, ήδη, προ ετών, διαλυθεί. Μπορείτε παρακαλώ να επιβεβαιώσετε ή να διαψεύσετε;

@@NonstopEurotrip Oh, so I think you scheduled the video to be uploaded at 1 o'clock in the night CET (12 hours earlier) instead of scheduling the video's uploading at 1 o'clock in the afternoon CET. Well, I'll tell you a fun fact: Take care of what time it is to upload a video
@@pedrorubiotejero_aka_prt hey man don't be so harsh
@@allstarpilot7478 I'm not harsh, I told him/her to learn from his/her mistakes

What a career change 😂
Good video, but must confess I do prefer vlogs with folk speaking rather than text
Thanks and sorry I guess 😂
Thank you, nonstop eurotrip! So, the introduction of your video is not long, since you show us essential things: the entrance to the station, the station. It is very important for me. I like when you show the station. You explain well. On the other hand, I am a little disappointed for your presentation of the train, or more precisely of the seat of the train. You went a little too fast and for example, if you know what I mean, you did not measure if the distance between the seat and the other was sufficient enough with you. I don't know if you took advantage of this (short) trip. In my opinion, it is very expensive. Especially for such a short trip. I would have taken the train much cheaper than you showed us. In addition, he stops more times !!! Too cool for a train fanatic. Your conclusion is excellent, but in my opinion you did not focus enough on the train this time. Anyway, I had more the impression that you were on vacation on this train, in other words that you were taking care of other things. But hey, the video is good anyway, don't worry. I liked. Thanks to you !!!
Sorry to disappoint you Louis, I'll try harder in the next video. 😉 I have also filmed the return journey on the cheaper train for another video. Glad you still liked it tho 🙂
Thank you, nonstop eurotrip! I'm afraid I was a little too harsh in my previous opinion. I love all of your videos, you know, but there are some videos that I like better than others. You are doing a great job. Can't wait to watch your video on the cheaper train and see what you thought of it. Thanks to you !!!
Frecciabianca has a top speed of 200 km/h, not 250.
The train is capable of 250
Μπορείτε παρακαλώ να επιβεβαιώσετε ή να διαψεύσετε;
