My dude, this is so helpful... thank you! I have been searching so many rail sites and have been having trouble figuring out which trains are what, and this cleared it up. The plan is to take a Trenitalia from Turin to Ventimiglia, then hop on the SNCF train to Nice. Cheers!
THANK YOU ! THIS VIDEO SAVED ME TIME AND MONEY! I WAS GOING VENEZIA-MILANO-GENEVA-VENTIMIGLIA without knowing I could do it from Venezia!! love you.. all reserved although not that cheap lol anyway accomodation in milano and geneva was TOO expensive
@@chrisbarrett9311 No you can use SNCF connect app or website to buy a ticket for the trains from Ventimiglia, its just not all french trains that are in it yet
Do they check your visas when you board to the second train? I want to go to Italy, however I’m expecting the residence card here in France so I can’t leave the country
Hi there, Thanks for video - this is helpful! How long do you think you’ll need to transfer to the next train to France? Just checking if 20mins is enough otherwise, next train is 40mins! TIA!
The transfer only takes a few minutes so if the train is ontime from Italy it's more than enough. I would probably leave 40 min if you have another connection to make afterwards as Italian trains aren't the most punctual

Done this trip in the opposite direction during summer hols. A far better alternative to driving. Safer, quiter and much more enjoyable.
Totally agree thanks for sharing!
How long is the trip?
@@cesarmelendez1900 roughly 4 hours.
Lots of Bikes at Milano Centrale, cool...! That was interesting, a slow train, but reliable and usuful for the locals. Good.
Good video!

Thank you for a informative video. How can I pre-book French regional train online please?
Use www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/ however all regional trains cannot be booked online :-)
@@Simon-Andersen Does this mean you have to buy a ticket at the station upon arrival?

They did not when i went, but spot checks can happen. They were doing spot-checks for covid documentation :)
They check only from Italy to France, not France to Italy. However, if you don’t have a Visa going back to France, you might get stuck in Italy ahah
What is the date of the video?
Its from May 2022
@@Simon-Andersen ok! Thanks!
From Vetnimiglia to france did you have to show Covid tests?
No
The Frecciabianca trains are not bothered to be renewed as they will be sorted out in the short future :)
