That "wasted space" is a style in itself, so I would not consider it like wasted. And yes, everything comes with a screen and this frame should too (and for the price!), as it would be better to change the picture and not needed to be wasting paper (trees after all).
Yeah ok how many times you change ? I mean most people does not do that often …. So is not wasted also is not waste space because as I know you can use it without white and add fully art … so there is that yeah maybe you must purchase it separately but you can change it to non whiteboard background….
Wow, so glad I watched this! I also thought it was a digital image (like the Samsung Frame tv) that would show the album artwork. I was planning on buying two for Christmas presents..! Back to the drawing board on that one. Thanks for the heads up!
One thing I do like about the white space is that you can use we/dry erase markers on the glass on that space. Then you can decorate the frame for the holidays vs switching out the photo (or you can always do both!) Another way to optimize that "wasted" space is to get magnet stickers so you can hang magnets-photos ect....and make it a little more scrap-book style. So it all comes down to ppl's individual style, but I think it's nice to have room for some fun and creative ideas. I agree about them making a smaller one tho. Def need one we can stick on a bookshelf. Maybe they can incorporate date, time, weather into the frame as an optional option. I agree about the photo not being digital. Especially for people like us who aren't hooked up to the Internet majority of the time.
When I saw it in store I was trying to tap on the picture because I expected it to have a screen. I appreciate the idea of not having a screen, but on this device it just seems counterintuitive. It could’ve been a stationary mp3 where you can directly control the music.
I at once cancelled my purchase when you mentioned "it does not come with a screen on it" Paying 400 USD for a wireless speaker where i have to print photos , does not make any sense.
Who said you to do that ? I mean I have for example getting now new ones due to other personal reasons so I considering to get one at least for now so yes for me is good for you with old ones no… plus maybe for you is good to wait more due to getting better in 5 years for example I don’t know how old is your setup
It does have an optical port, but its focused on working wirelessly through Samsung's Q-symphony (as mentioned, only compatible with 2024 TV's)@@vroooom
It works with every tv but what they are referring to is that it only works with q symphony with 2024 models. This review is so limited in what this can do. As it's a music frame, good for quality music and supporting atmos.
Yeah it looks stealthy and all but 400$? Nah I could buy an ultimate ears hyperboom for 380$ and its gonna sound a LOT better, I could even buy 2 for less than 800$
@kevinthetechninja Just recieved one for my self to review! I am used to the quality of B&O so I'm very "picky" on the sound quality of my products, but this one delivers as a very good "background speaker" for the times you are working late, want something to play in the background when having friends and family over etc. But you mentioned that the buttons doesn't let you know if they register your clicks or not, but if you look at the bottom center you can see the LED lights light up as you touch the buttons and show which way you are adjusting the volume etc.
When I first saw it, it looked like the image would be the album art. Bummer.
I feel iffy like I like a screen, but I also like that it’s not a
Thought so too:(
that's an idea for the 2nd gen for sure LOL, and it will be 2x the price
Same
E ink display would have been nice
wait WHAT, its not a screen? the picture is not the album art thats playing? lol - not a doubt in my mind that that was the whole point lol.
I thought this was a digital picture frame, not a stattic one till I saw it later. Def seems like a 1st gen deivcie.
That white "frame" is a passepartout, its a common way to create focus in art.
i thought this was going to be like the frame tv capable of using matte display to display whatever you wanted.
That would've been the way to go. Maybe for v2 if it will be released.
What is the reason ? I mean why do you wanna be all digital ?

Great review! but I almost got sea sick when I saw those waves dippin! 🌊🌊🔥🔥

Great review, I'd love if this worked with my Samsung Freestyle Projector.

There is not a reason I mean this is speaker and art one so no is not good idea for its kind
I would like to purchase one of these for Christmas 🎄

Great idea but I hoped to display an album cover!
Only works with 2024 models that sucks, ain’t gonna change my sound bar and tv for this

Main issue is lack of dual surround/atmos support.
Did you look into the spec? It support atmos and even Q-symphony.
If it did album art I would buy it
How many watts it has? Speaking in RMS of course?
You can customize your own art work with provided holders. No wasted space.
This is better than apple casket.
Why a casket?
For 249 will sale good
How do I get Google assistant to work on it?
You need a 2024 TV to just to sync for surround sound?! Pass.
Hey! Does this work with an older Samsung The Frame? Or only the 2024 model?
Just 2024
@@Techninjaspeaks So if I bought this to use as a soundbar underneath a 2021 Frame, it wouldn't work? There's no optical in or anything?

You know it's sub-par when he recommends a Sonos product over it 😅
ay bro do the pixel 8a vs the pixel 8 when u get it please
Got you once my 8a comes in.
A curious question: Are there people over eighty years of age who are very elderly people who own and will use modern smart phones??!!
So same like the ikea sonos picture
Screen is not digital ???? Waste
I thought it has screen
I wanted it to be digital, this is dumb, and it clearly is promoted by samsung!
Nah, not for me, I'm a 5.1 sound enjoyer.
Yeah it looks stealthy and all but 400$? Nah I could buy an ultimate ears hyperboom for 380$ and its gonna sound a LOT better, I could even buy 2 for less than 800$
Oh dear. Kevin, you put me off buying it now.
Just being honest
A curious question: Are there people over eighty years of age who are very elderly people who own and will use modern smart phones???🎉
Probably but I don't think they're interested in modern day phones unless it helps with their health care
My dad is 88 and rocking a pixel 8A and he loves it.
The Ikea SYMFONISK Picture frame w Sonos Wi-Fi speaker is a much better buy
How so?
I Do Not Like this Useless Thing !!! Will Not Buy It !!!

the review is very one sided and doesn't touch all features of the music frame.
