Jamahal Hill’s loss to Jiri Prochazka seems to have hit him harder than most expected. It’s not just about losing; it feels like he’s grappling with the realization that his path to another title shot has become much steeper. His quick rise to the top might’ve inflated expectations, but now he’s having to adjust to his true skill zone, which can mess with anyone’s confidence and ego. But what makes this loss so devastating is the context. As much as he was clowned for it, both the losses to Alex Pereira and Paul Craig could be written off in Hill’s mind as sudden or unfocused moments; things he could tell himself wouldn’t happen again if he was more prepared. The fight with Jiri, though, was different. Hill had the chance to give 100%, and he still lost. For a fighter who believes they can be champion again, that’s crushing. He made excuses in his head for the Pereira loss, but this time, there are no excuses. And now, he knows the brutal reality: he’s at least 2-3 wins away from another title shot, and there’s a real chance he may never get there. That kind of clarity is hard to face for any fighter.
Bruh he went out and was chilling with Jiri after the fight having drinks..... he took Alexes loss bad but he didn't make an excuse for Jiri. he got humbled and he's chill again
He just has to deal with the fact, he's not as good as he thought. Jiří destroyed him and all he had was a chance for a lucky punch, that must fuck him up mentally, If he really believed he just got unlucky and caught against Alex. 😂
Well said brother, good analysis. You must have a background in martial arts. Or maybe you just study fights and fighters extensively? Regardless it was a solid analysis!
His record actually sucks. He knocked out Walker, hell everybody knocks out walker lately, i don't know what happened to him. Thiago Santos was impressive but he isnt elite either. Glover, i believe should have beaten him. And that's it. 2 fights vs 2 of the top fighters and he lost both.
He didnt decline, he just wasnt a contender material. He was lucky to get the title chance, because all of real contenders were injured or recently fought. In title match ha had fought broken granpa and still couldnt finish him. The most important thing is, that he didnt fighta a champ, Texeira had no belt.
Sorry but I have trouble thinking Hill ever had it, whenever anyone brings Hill up in a good way, it’s only Glover that they mention, I said it back before 300 and it’s only gotten more clear that this dude just can’t hang and his behavior just puts a stamp on it for me. Watch he’ll be out here trying to BS about this one too. I know that a lot of people love the trash talk but I just don’t, I know people say it’s important to build hype but it’s cringe imo and it’s why the ones I love most are the fighters who don’t.
Also, totally forgot to say that this was a great video and that Jiri is amazing, I was too busy talking about how Hill sucks 😅 but I will say that as much as I love Jiri…I’m not convinced that he’d beat Pereira still unfortunately 😬 just saying
Hill is top 5 in the Division for a reason and he won the belt Jiri barely beat Glover and got Slept by Alex twice Hill just rushed a lil too much in the Jiri fight but he won round 2 for sure
@@ItsDetroit Jiri finished Glover. Hill did not. Jiri has broken Glover, thats why Hill has won. Jiri won the belt from a champ, Hill won the belt from a man with no belt. Jiri was undefeated contender, Hill was given a title chance as a gift from UFC.
@ hill dominated him for 5 rounds and got a 10-8 round too Jiri lost 3 rounds to Glover he is lucky he finished him cause he was losing the whole fight pretty much
Correction, Johnny Walker is not elite fighter, Thiago past his prime. Hill got the belt when the division is at weakest Jiri was injured and Glover is really past his prime.
He thought he was the best fighter in the ufc because he beat a 40 yr Glover, and then when he actually fought some younger better fighters he got put in his place!
I was actually waiting around for a Jamahal Hill Post-Fight Excuse Video - as they’ve become the norm - and stumbled across this in my feed. Thanks for making this and putting together all the clips of JH making all the excuses and claims! While I sincerely wish the young athlete the absolute best in the future, it’s certainly time that he learn from his mistakes and realize that he’s not (currently) elite, and needs a ton of work.
Thank You for giving the truth to the people in this video……great Job with the receipts and backing things up. Hill and his fans will try anything to gaslight the mma world with their bs stories etc but this sets the record straight……maybe next time his cocky Azz will actually be humble and act like a professional fighter. You can trash talk without totally disrespecting your opponents lifetime achievements and earned accomplishments, but you have to have class to do that. Poatan said he’ll make Hill remember the disrespect and V he’s a man of his word🗿💯
The way Jamal broke down after the Juri fight,man...That fight meant alot to him.A man breaking down like that usually put in everything and found out everything was not enough.Really feel bad for him.
I understand he is competitive and after the Alex situation with the controversy of Herb Dean pausing the fight, I can understand feeling like that wasn't a true representation of your abilities, but even still I don't think his loses are what ruined him, Jamal really lost the fans on the mic. Every fighter experiences loss, it's a part of the game, its about how you respond to those loses, Jamal probably handled that Alex loss worse than I think anyone could've imagined and started going on a historically salty wave of rants. After this Jiri loss I really hope he takes a step back and reflects on where he is now and see that he can still get back to where he was, he just has to keep his head down and let the performances do the talking (which they will do, even though he lost that Jiri fight, it was still highly entertaining and competitive and proved he can stand with the best in the devision, he just has to work on his striking and keeping it in control when he goes for exchanges, as well as picking exchanges more wisely, he lets himself get caught too frequently).
Problem is that Hill thought he was way better than he actually is. I say feed him to Rountree or drop him to the prelims ;) After all his BS and crying since Alex KOd him super fast I don't feel sorry for him at all. He was shooting his mouth off about everyone haha Feed him to Rountree and after Rountree takes him out that's the end for Hill.
Jiri never should have been stripped of his belt. Pereira is the true champion of the division. Jiri proved Jamahal should have never come close to UFC gold by destroying him in their latest fight. The guys bark as always been bigger than his bite.
I don't think it was the losses to Jiri or Alex, I believe what really damaged his career was his attitude towards those losses. He didn't learn anything, refused to look inward, refused to accept his losses, and absolutely refused to grow both as a fighter and individual. His career is starting to parallel Rhonda's career decline after her losses to Holly and Amanda. Both developed massive, but fragile egos and can't seem to stop making excuses for their losses.
his down fall is because he’s too cocky and underestimated his opponents?!!! if you’re drop from a higher ranking then that’s because you lost 2 fights??!??! the best thing for you to do is, reflect why, how you lost your fight?!?! but never underestimate your opponents tats hire you lose these fights?!?? you need to work harder or else you’ll just keep losing
