Now that you mention, it's likely that the inner Anakin in him felt genuinely perplexed that a Jedi would've had a child of their own, something he himself had with Padme and maybe he never assumed a fellow Jedi would've also done such thing.

We all know the main reason why Vader took Galen Marek from Kashyyyk to be trained as his apprentice, but one has to wonder if there were other motives, one hidden behind all that darkness and malice. Notice when Vader realized that the "powerful master" was a child, he said "a son", but it was the way he said it, emotionally inflected and all, sure there was shock, but from my personal observation there was also something else there in how he said it, this was ultimately because it was a son of A JEDI, something he knew about all too well in his past life as Anakin Skywalker, he sees in Marek of what "could have been" for his child, this "connection" obviously isn't enough to turn Vader away from the Darkness, because ultimately Marek ends up being just a reminder of his own failure, and this further cements his anger, but in this moment, all Vader saw was a son of a Jedi, much like his own son would have been.

Tarkin he’s not more powerful than Darth Vader he had more advantages over Vader’s such as force lightening and better agility and that darth told all he knew to starkiller
8:35 - This moment, when I first watched this as a child, showed the ingenuity and brilliance as it parallels a similar of how Vader would soon meet Luke. Although, if things had turned out in the original trilogy, I feel like Vader would do this, because he would still care about his son.....or someone he considered family.
I hadn't noticed before, that Vader was taking cautious little half-steps until the other Imperials distracted the kid. Because whether they have a lightsaber or a permanent marker, you become your best hostage negotiator when it's in their random little hands. Sith Lords not exempt.

Attmanwart I don’t think those are clones. Clones aren’t expendable anymore, so Vader wouldn’t just kill them like that unless he’s stupid, which he isn’t.
I just kept choking the wookies, I didn't even really use my lightsaber much. My dad kept cracking up when he watched me play and I just kept lifting the wookies up.
Well this game takes place before the Rebellion was created, meaning this is soon after RotS. He was probably still torn up over losing Padme and his child, since he didn't know the truth.
Trek_Backgr07nd not til the end. The rebellion (in legends) is formed after starkillers death, then they use his house sigil as the symbol of the rebellion because he brought hope to the republic
09:26 [Applause] Justified. This game was so over the top. I love it. Using the force to pull down tie fighters and Star Destroyers to -kill- take off 1/8th of a health bar. It was just one set piece after another
I honestly would’ve wanted to see the early years of his training, just a snippet, if only to see how Darth Vader acted around a child, like to see if he had at all a single crack in the evil mask. Like how right after he kills the Jedi he slowly steps towards the kid like he doesn’t want to startle him too much (granted that’s likely because the kid was holding a lightsaber he didn’t know how to use but I digress).
When the kid used the force to take Vader's lightsaber away, that moment gave me the chills. Even more when Vader's breathing sounded as if was shocked. "Dis boi !!!"
I remember some time in 2009 or 2010 I was 8 or 7 years old and played this on my uncles ps3, and was absolutely blown away from the graphics, the physics, and feeling of the game. It all felt so real like I had control over a new star wars movie 😅 force unleashed is still, in my opinion, a amazing game to come back to and replay all over again for it's simple but rewarding combat, impressive physics, graphics that still hold up, incredible sound design, and interesting story and characters. Truly a masterpiece amongst star wars games that I don't think can be rivaled, though jedi survivor is close, at least to me.
Wait...that's it? The Wii version had a lot more going on. There were AT-AT's, and Vader crushed one of the Wookiee Huts using the Force to get Kento to reveal himself.
7:13 -7:14 back in Jedi Outcast, one of the pillars in the final boss fight rooms could be cut, and stone blocks would crumble down. Done correctly, it would've killed Desann, the final boss. Too bad falling objects don't seem to harm NPC's, objects flung by the force notwithstanding.
Some people will say *vader* saved starkiller for a powerful apprentice but i believe moments like those proves *Anakin Skywalker* is still alive and is still good
Nah, I don't think so. He murdered everybody on the planet except the kid. And he fell to the dark side killing kids, if you're going to say that he spared the kid out of compassion
This was not a good Star Wars game or a good Star Wars story. Kotor I and II and the Jedi Knight games were good games and stories. This was just trash.
The moment he tells galen to come with him, perhaps may have been the only time vader ever felt compassion, and possibly love. I think he saw it as a chance to have another try at a son.
TBH i Thought vader was made a bit too powerfull in marvels carton series of him. but now i realize that he was also pretty powerfull before disney took over.
"You killed my master years ago" but in the timeline the force unleashed takes place 1 year after RotS or at least this starting part where starkiller is a kid does. was Anakin killin jedi masters before he turned to the dark side.
Tehlingstar The games take place during new hope and empire. Star killer even meets leia in the first one and even gets the death star plans for her, which rogue one ripped off...along with his name..Then he meets Luke in the second, in a dlc, in the middle of the hoth battle where he fights and tempts him if he chose the dark side after fighting Vader. There was going to be an alternate timeline third game where he and Luke would join forces as the two new rival sith to kill Vader and the emperor, but force unleashed 2's story and game development were vastly rushed, cutting the game not only short, but leaving it a mess of a game, saturated in poor reception. There's a conspiracy theory that Disney sabotaged the second (sound familiar?) since if I remember right, they were finishing their purchase of star wars and Lucasfilm at the time and were doing away with all things expanded universe. That includes the comic books, games, novels, and the clone wars, which they declared all none canon. First mistake right there at the beginning...-_-
read what i said carefully, i said the CHILD segment of starkiller is in 18 BBY 1 year after Rots. the DLCs are not cannon for this game as they follow the dark side ending. and dont make your answer condecending towards me i know the lore and know it well i am aware of the decannonizeations and have been for years. So please dont make a condecending response to me when you clearly didnt even read my original post correctly
Most emotional moments to me in all of star wars legends and canon The scene where anakin burns and.becomes darth vader The scene where.vader fights ashoka The scene where obi wan kills maul in rebels The scene in here where darth vader walks up to his dead apprentice with the sad look in his eyes as the music plays If anybody didnt think that scene was emotional well heart of steel
Linkfin actually if u look at there masks there earlier models of the storm trooper helmet that look abit like the clone ones. But this is a little bit after revenge of the sith so it does make sense
God I want a Vader game so bad I mean just imagine a game like this where we get to level Vader up to do some of the unbelievable shit he does in the comics, he starts out as the power house we all know and love him to be and thought the game just becomes the literal dark god we worship him as now.
It makes me feel kinda sad that this story was never brought to film. Imagine seeing Galen Marek destroy countless Jedi and Sith Lords on the big screen with today's cinematic technology....
The moment Vader said, "A son?" 9:02 A little piece of Skywalker came out. I honestly think he spared Starkiller because he is the child Vader never had and lost.
There was actually a TV review of this game and one of the questions about this opening sequence was "Can you Force Choke a Wookie?". Developers knew what they were doing with the opening sequence by not only allowing players to USE Vader, but also allow him the "Force Choke" as part of his moveset.
I like the Wii/ps2 version better. It feels like it happened not too long after the clone wars. The Storm troopers look like they belonged in the 501st clone battalion.
I remember getting my PS3 in December of 2008 with this game and shortly after we got a 720p TV and I thought these graphics were the most groundbreaking thing in the world. Gotta love how things just keep improving with technology!

I like those helmets
Attmanwart I don’t think those are clones. Clones aren’t expendable anymore, so Vader wouldn’t just kill them like that unless he’s stupid, which he isn’t.
@@alexanders2669 at this point in time they should have still been cloning, and I don't think Vader cares about a few troopers
I think this is the only game where the actual gameplay looks better than the cutscenes
I just kept choking the wookies, I didn't even really use my lightsaber much. My dad kept cracking up when he watched me play and I just kept lifting the wookies up.
9:41 “You were weak when I found you” , star killer takes away his lightsaber as a child LOL
A piece of Vader showed mercy by taking the boy..always a little piece of the light side
Tyler Jay It's more that he wanted to use him for his purposes
Tyler Jay exactly he has no problem to kill or manipulate children even his son Luke but then he realized that he was just another pawn of sidious
That was the side of anakin

[Applause]
Justified.
10:43 lol obi wan with the high ground
When the kid used the force to take Vader's lightsaber away, that moment gave me the chills. Even more when Vader's breathing sounded as if was shocked. "Dis boi !!!"
This mission breaks my heart.
It was Canon before Disney took over. Would have liked a spin off TV series or movie.
Wait...that's it? The Wii version had a lot more going on. There were AT-AT's, and Vader crushed one of the Wookiee Huts using the Force to get Kento to reveal himself.
Gallifreyan Buccaneer the ps2 version was the same way it had more content
Thomas Raines Yea in the Ps2 I remember missions on imperial Felucia and cloud city but those aren’t on this version
@@bruhmoment4148 yes they are on xbox 360...
I have to say that while Vader killed Starkiller's real father, I absolutely love how Vader protects him from Stormtroopers.
Yup, Vader’s like Askeladd.
Back when star wars games were actually good
I miss both games so much. Hopefully Jedi : Fallen Order can be good.
no. Star Wars game were good in times of JK 2 and KotOR.
This was not a good Star Wars game or a good Star Wars story. Kotor I and II and the Jedi Knight games were good games and stories. This was just trash.
@@DraculaCronqvist that's your opinion
@@Wyr_111 Of course it is. What did you expect, someone else's?
The moment he tells galen to come with him, perhaps may have been the only time vader ever felt compassion, and possibly love. I think he saw it as a chance to have another try at a son.
Or.... he used him as a tool? Lol
Anyone else notice Proxy mimicing Juno's movements during their walk n talk? Why is that so funny to me?
I remember staying on he bridge fighting endless waves of wookies, good times :)
TBH i Thought vader was made a bit too powerfull in marvels carton series of him. but now i realize that he was also pretty powerfull before disney took over.
That was just the gameplay so that it's fun to play. But I don't think he did this much in the actual game.
Coolest opening to a video game ever totally got me hooked to Star Wars to this day.
No, this mission takes place at least 5 or 6 years after episode 3 and The ending takes place 2 years before a new hope
Kid me was in absolute euphoria playing this, you're prime darth vader just destroying all the wookies and even your own troopers
Смотрю, как будто неделю назад играл в эту серию Star Wars: The Unleashed. Вышла замечательная игра!
Most emotional moments to me in all of star wars legends and canon
The scene where anakin burns and.becomes darth vader
The scene where.vader fights ashoka
The scene where obi wan kills maul in rebels
The scene in here where darth vader walks up to his dead apprentice with the sad look in his eyes as the music plays
If anybody didnt think that scene was emotional well heart of steel
I love how u can hear the crack of the neck when you use force choke on the Wookiees
I remember slaughtering every single living thing in sight
How fitting to have the Order 66 music play over the death of the Rogue Jedi
I love how Vader walks to the beat of the Imperial March in the beginning.
Rogue jedi my ass
This will always be my favourite mission in any star wars game
it never made much sence that all of the army is already imperials and not clones
Linkfin actually if u look at there masks there earlier models of the storm trooper helmet that look abit like the clone ones. But this is a little bit after revenge of the sith so it does make sense
The prime Master03 would make sense considering how much he had to grow up
Linkfin IT’S BECAUSE THIS GAME ISN’T CANOOOOON.
The prime Master03 they’re*
The prime Master03 they’re*
That Vader entrance in the beginning is so cool
Man the second he crunches that guys neck with the force without a thought is just perfect ruthless Vader.
God I want a Vader game so bad I mean just imagine a game like this where we get to level Vader up to do some of the unbelievable shit he does in the comics, he starts out as the power house we all know and love him to be and thought the game just becomes the literal dark god we worship him as now.
The first thing that Vader did after the Clone Wars finale:
It makes me feel kinda sad that this story was never brought to film. Imagine seeing Galen Marek destroy countless Jedi and Sith Lords on the big screen with today's cinematic technology....
The moment Vader said, "A son?" 9:02
A little piece of Skywalker came out.
They need a game where you play as darth Vader.
I like the Wii/ps2 version better. It feels like it happened not too long after the clone wars. The Storm troopers look like they belonged in the 501st clone battalion.

This should have been one of the new spinoff movies. I rather have this as a movie than rogue one
EnlightenedThinker1 maREEEEEYYY sue
Kevin Mendoza I agree
GamingPro1003 They obviously won’t have Vader spam force pushes or have ragdoll physics
Kevin Mendoza hell yes
Rick O'Shay So what do they call a person writing the same exact reply on every fucking comment here?
Honestly one of the greatest video game intros ever
I remember getting my PS3 in December of 2008 with this game and shortly after we got a 720p TV and I thought these graphics were the most groundbreaking thing in the world. Gotta love how things just keep improving with technology!
