This video shows why didn't Russia try to colonize parts of Africa, so during the 19th century Africa was heavily colonized by European empires, so why didn't Russian empire also colonize Africa, the reason is that Russian empire was far away and had no direct route to Africa, the 2nd reason is that Russian empire was more interested in conquering eastern Europe and 3rd reason is that Russian Empire was not in a good Financial situation to colonize Africa
