Does anyone remember a movie from the 90s called Life Size? Starting Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks as a Barbie type doll who has come to life. Same premise as this, but executed way better, without the man hating.
Yup! I sure do. It's actually a movie I've compared this Barbie monstrosity to that I thought was executed much better. All with Enchanted, Clueless, & Legally Blonde.

Tyrone was WAYYY to kind to this movie in his review, and the Drinker is right, its meant to brainwash young girls who's parents were tricked into bringing them to see it. You can feel the hatred and vitriol oozing from every scene and character.
As much as they talk about the patriarchy, you'd think they could point to it when asked. Instead of God, they say "patriarchy." Instead of sin, they say "masculinity." Instead of Jesus, they say "feminism."
The imagery from the giant Barbie and the girls playing with their dolls kind of makes Barbie seem like some sort of evil creature controling the girls to do her evil biddings...
The moment I saw the Warner Bros logo Barbie style and someone in the audience said “It’s Barbie Time B#&hes” I knew where this movie was going. While everyone laughed i just sat there confused and frustrated because of the hidden messages. Also I only went see it because a friend wanted to hang out.
In my childhood, Barbie dated GI Joe .... always thought Ken was too "pretty" as.a kid lol thank God I had brothers who had appropriate men for my barbie to date
I love how it reenforces how irrelevant men are to the Barbie girl when there's not an American female who can go a week on an abandoned island without needing anything from a man for survival.
There was an island survivor show where the men lasted weeks without help and the women broke down within hours. Men without women survive but have no children. Women without men have neither.
