I cannot imagine buying smartphone every 3 years!. I mean, with a decent specs will cost 25000/-. that's nearly 7000+ per year. 20/- per day!. The innovations/improvements have become so incremental that it feels a crime to spend hard earned money. Best is to hold on to the current smartphone for atleast 5 years. Who and what will we do with so much features? Just a novelty feeling for first few days to satisfy our itch
Bro I'm using a redmi note 7s since it has launched that's like 5 years or more. It still is pretty good since I am running it on a custom rom.
I want to upgrade but I would just get an iPhone and use it 5-7 years
These are for crazy tech savy people who changes phones in every year. My one friend had iPhone 14 and still bought 15 pro after selling the previous one. Whereas I am still using my 5 years old phone which doing above average as of now. And I am planning to buy a new one next year.

Don’t think we need more crazy hardware. Polished software,longer support,battery efficiency should be the areas of focus.Phones have become so powerful these days,you could still use sd870 in newer phones and not feel a difference
The next year is gonna be all about AI integration....but we don't know how good they are. It maybe game changing or just another gimmick

as a student there is barely any decent new phones releasing in the budget segment
I'm using redmi note 5 pro purhased in early 2018. Been using for 5+ years and it's still running buttery smooth just the battery life has reduced to around 6 hours on normal usage but can still easily last for more than a day on light usage. One of the best phones offering everything with no compromise at that point of time and that too in a budget. Nowadays every smartphone in every price range lacks something.

This year I see a lot of mid range phones (20k to 30k) are coming with MT Dimensity chipsets. Previously MT chipsets are famous for heating issues. So, I'm a bit confused on this. Please make a comparision video on this issue.
MT is cheaper than Qualcomm and still give you 80- 90% of the equivalent performance. That's why
Heating issues were with Helio Chips, The dimensity ones are better value for money than snapdragon and they don't have heating issues

I don't think India will get to see Snapdragon version since recent leaks suggest only US & Canada will get SD while rest of the world gets Exynos. I think that's the reason the S23 is not getting any major discounts coz people will buy that over Exynos S24

Watching Indian tech videos is very interesting as to what brands are focused on. The market is so different. Nobody who buys the first 3 phones here cares much about anything other than price. Sure if they're sold to at all they might get pointed to the higher spec stuff but they only really care if it works and it's cheap(er than samsung and apple). Not tech focused people at all really. It's cool to see the other than Korean and American products featured so long.

There isn't a decent option other than apple and Samsung in compact phone category, I'm hoping Xiaomi 14 will release it in under 50k that would definitely disturb the Indian market.

Redmi Note 13 will be a direct competitor to A15 5G. It can't be priced more than 18K. If Redmi decides to price it above 18K, going for Redmi Note 12 Pro from 2023 makes sense as it is available at 18K on Flipkart with offers.
