    I love these lessons. Helps a 42-year old newbie like me feel like my dream of challenging Grohl to a drum-off could one day happen.

      Grohl is such a nice guy, he'd probably take you up on the challenge.

    These style of Bonham and linear fills are what I need to work as a drummer.

    Love your content, energy and attitude! I’ve been ‘playing drums’ since I was 16, but never really got much in the way of formal lessons and hit a plateau a long … time ago, so finding you has been great. Thank you!

    It must be true. Drummers think differently. That is really interesting and tough for me initially. Thanks!

    Me: My stool height isn't right. I can't get my kicks consistent. Am I sitting too close? Too far? WTH?

    THX Emma for your usual terrific instruction. BTW, Bonham perfected his "triplets" have learned much from his Influencor Carmine Appice of Vanilla Fudge fame. In the book, The Beast about John Bonham, there are numerous references to their relationship. Appice was looked up to by JB. Seeimng Carmine "kick Started" [excuse the Pun] Bonham into his fame with Zepplin. Cheers form the other side of The Pond!

    Just to check; the timing is 4 beats of triplets and 2 beats of quarter notes?

    • @Demonstormlord
      @Demonstormlord 4 місяці тому +2

      No, it's just a bar of 16ths notes.

    Nope. Bonham triplets are L-R-K. If you're right handed, you always lead with your left, a la Bonham.

      Does it even really matter? I'm sure Bonham really wouldn't care and would say play whatever sticking sounds good with your music.
