The most hardcore fucking part in this whole game in my opinion was that Peter became Carnage. He looked so goddamn lit. Only sad part was I wanted the chance to play as him.
The animations do hold up, the glitches you are getting and the T-posing characters on the sides are a result of playing the game in a 16:9 aspect ratio instead of the 4:3 it was designed for. That's also the reason why the panel images from the cutscenes get wider everytime they change from 3d to 2d. It's a common problem with hd remaster ports of 6th gen games.

Why doesn’t anyone ever compliment Web of Shadows? That’s my favorite spider man game, I honestly believe that Spider-Man PS4s idea of changing New York as the story progresses was taken from Web of Shadows, and the wall and air combat is still unparalleled, PS4 was close with air combat but never gave enough chances for it, only two boss fights really utilized it.
You said why. It was a good game, but it's gimmick was never fully realized. The boss fights could be described as repetitive and invasion never lived up to the build up.

I fucking love this game, it was what sparked my love for the character, I still remember playing it in my sisters high school boy friend’s couch, while she was supposed to be baby sitting me, like 3 months after it came out, and I legitimately went home and begged my dad to let me do chores so I could get it, then waking up early every Saturday morning to play this for a hour or so before my dad kicked me off to go play outside or something lol. I even have extremely vivid memories of playing this in the summer, while my other sister sat on face book all day in the next room blasting the beetles “I am the walrus” and just swinging around. Could never beat it but I loved it! 10/10

Straight up my childhood favourite video game growing up. This game along with the Raimi movies are probably the main reason why I'm a major Spidey fan. Hell, this game is the reason why Venom is my personal favourite marvel villain/anti hero. When I think of venom the first thing I think of is this games version of him. His design and voice still gives me mad chills to this day . I wish so badly that they'd remaster or remake this game cause I'd yeet the hell out of my money at the developers for one. I had the DS version of this game, it was really damn difficult but fun, and the two player battle mode was cool, you could play as venom, carnage, or Peter, it was awesome
I would like to say that I totally appreciate the detail you went into making this video. As I watched this video I started to feel like I was in high school again(saying as I played this game as a freshman). Another one that I loved was Spider-Man 64, with the suit variations... there weren't a lot of games on 64 that had voice over and narration. When I first got this game I didn't really care for it because of the art style, but it didn't take long for me to warm up to this look. An excellent display cartoony Graphics that worked well.

This, The Wind Waker and Spider-Man 2 were the first games I owned on my GameCube in 2005. For as timeless as Spider-Man 2 is, I played this game so much more. The art style, comic book feel and ability to play as venom kept my attention for a lot longer as a young kid
The reason for the T-posing venom and some other situations like that is because the game was made for a time when televisions had a square aspect ratio and updated versions of the game that allow for widescreen tend to reveal stuff that would have otherwise been offscreen

This is actually the first spider man game i loved to watch over and over
I fucking love this game, it was what sparked my love for the character, I still remember playing it in my sisters high school boy friend’s couch, while she was supposed to be baby sitting me, like 3 months after it came out, and I legitimately went home and begged my dad to let me do chores so I could get it, then waking up early every Saturday morning to play this for a hour or so before my dad kicked me off to go play outside or something lol.
I even have extremely vivid memories of playing this in the summer, while my other sister sat on face book all day in the next room blasting the beetles “I am the walrus” and just swinging around.
Could never beat it but I loved it! 10/10
Possibly the best Spider-Man game, I've played through it at least once per year since release, sometimes twice. At one point it was basically the only thing I played for months.
This was my favorite game as a kid despite the fact I really sucked at the game... gonna have to check if I still have the game.
Fun fact. The story from the game had such a good response they adapted the story from the game into the Ultimate Spider-Man comics
Straight up my childhood favourite video game growing up. This game along with the Raimi movies are probably the main reason why I'm a major Spidey fan. Hell, this game is the reason why Venom is my personal favourite marvel villain/anti hero. When I think of venom the first thing I think of is this games version of him. His design and voice still gives me mad chills to this day . I wish so badly that they'd remaster or remake this game cause I'd yeet the hell out of my money at the developers for one. I'm actually planning on getting my hands on the Ultimate spiderman comics some day considering my love for spiderman and Venom both pretty much started with this game. Great Video Aqua! It's ashame people don't talk about this game enough imo so it's awesome to see someone give this game some credit.
I had the DS version of this game, it was really damn difficult but fun, and the two player battle mode was cool, you could play as venom, carnage, or Peter, it was awesome

I would like to say that I totally appreciate the detail you went into making this video. As I watched this video I started to feel like I was in high school again(saying as I played this game as a freshman). Another one that I loved was Spider-Man 64, with the suit variations... there weren't a lot of games on 64 that had voice over and narration. When I first got this game I didn't really care for it because of the art style, but it didn't take long for me to warm up to this look. An excellent display cartoony Graphics that worked well.
I remember playing this game on my brothers GameCube back then. It would be great if they remastered the game and put more missions and made more playable characters such as the boss battle characters.

Never managed to play through this whole game. But it was a pretty big part of my childhood, I used to love racing the human torch through the city, and seeing wolverine in the bar as venom. I also love the comic book style with the panels and all that. Really cool game.

I remember playing this, I always hated whenever I had to do the QTE’s with R2, and L2. I never found out that if you were locked onto someone that it would make it harder, until the ending

This, The Wind Waker and Spider-Man 2 were the first games I owned on my GameCube in 2005. For as timeless as Spider-Man 2 is, I played this game so much more. The art style, comic book feel and ability to play as venom kept my attention for a lot longer as a young kid
I played this when I was five but the second flying torch race made me freeze and I couldn't move.

The reason for the T-posing venom and some other situations like that is because the game was made for a time when televisions had a square aspect ratio and updated versions of the game that allow for widescreen tend to reveal stuff that would have otherwise been offscreen

This was an insane game, one of the best Spidey games by a mile. I remember being in line at Game with the game in hand, some woman approached me and dad and asked us to buy there sons copy for £10 instead of spending £20 in store, what a lovely lady she saved me money and I’ll never forget it. This was my favorite as a kid, and is still my favorite now. Even above the PS4 titles. This one just hits my childhood and perfectly, PERFECTLY nailed the tone of the Ultimate comics of 00s era.
I was 7-8 years old around the launch of USM and the very early Raimi era, so those were really my formative years as a Spider-man fan.
