Just another comment: the bottom layout cannot be built without a bit of custom track cutting, so I'll be posting a layout with measurements on our website, GT3trains.com, soon.
It's a Japanese cookie tin that's printed up to look like a Japan Rail commuter train car. I dropped an old steam locomotive motor into it. Until now, never really had any use for it other than as a once-around-the-track novelty.
