- Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder that affects communication, social interaction, and behavior. It is estimated that one in every 54 children in the US has autism. While the exact cause of autism is still unknown, researchers have been exploring the connection between gut health and autism.
The gut-brain connection has been an area of research for many years, and recent studies have shown that there may be a link between the gut microbiome and autism. The gut microbiome is a complex community of microorganisms that reside in our digestive system and play a critical role in our health.

I have a 23 yr old son with ASD who has been on probiotics for 20yrs. Have they worked for my son , No. With that being said the link with gut and ASD is definitely yes. Take your child off wheat and dairy products and it's like they come out of a fog and attention span is dramatically increased.
Agreed. There are many ASD children/adults who have benefitted from gluten/dairy free diets!

"Treat ASD" or help autistic people be happy and healthy?
The goal is never to treat a label, rather to treat the underlying imbalances that lead to symptoms/behaviours.
@@novelbiome Autistic behaviors are human behaviors. It very much sounds like you think the goal should be to treat based on bigotry.
Human behaviors like grinding teeth is a common autistic behavior that could mean gut imbalance.
Do you know what part of your apparatus in your skull controls how you physically feel ?
The answer is really simple,
No, it cannot. ITS GENETIC!
Environmental factors change/disrupt dna. So yes, it’s in our genes. But genes can be repaired
Furthermore, it may lie in the 37 strands of dna in out mitochondria
@@JoseVargas-tr9kd Tell that to the four generations of men in my family with Autism. Its genetic period!
@@Groundedrootshealing I’m not arguing it’s not genetics, just like we all have the ability to have cancer. Some people do get cancer, some don’t. But I won’t leave any stone unturned to getting to the truth. I wish u and ure family nothing but the best!
I done my son test it’s not genetic for him so is it environmental?
