Hi there! Just thought that I'd mention a tip for wall paper: instead of having to worry about lining up the edge of your sheet with the ceiling and corners AND lining up the pattern, leave some slack at the top and sides and only focus on lining up your pattern. Use a laser level as a guide for lining up your sheets along an *actually* straight vertical line. Come in with an exacto knife afterwards to cut along the ceiling and corners. This is extra helpful considering most walls and ceilings aren't perfectly straight to begin with. ❤️
I totally forgot about this project so this video was a good surprise! Also love how unconventional you can get with powder bathrooms and you hit the sweet spot between quirky and charming, nice one Danie! 😉
There is not a single thing I'll like to change in this makeover. The tile, the wallpaper, the matte black mirror, that cute portrait, towel holder, sconces, the floating shelves omg it's so beautiful. You've done an excellent job Danie. It's so gorgeous modern yet traditional looking. I wish you had a team like Alexandra's and wished I could see all the amazing makeovers you could do. More people need your diy makeovers.
Oooo this house!! Love the architecture, cannot wait to watch you knock this out of the park! You are always so inspiring with all your skills and creativity!
Your bravery & smart thinking on the first prep day really set things up for a terrific result! Good job! Love the wall paper, the floor and the maple shelves/counter tops! The doggie art work seems like the perfect fit for Daphne, too! Fun! Finally, I really enjoyed your “I say neigh” joke!
Whenever I see you opening up a wall to gently move a fixture for the sink and I can say - oh yeah, I could do that too- it makes me squeal with joy. Thanks for staying right at my level, even as I keep learning new things lol
That was so much fun. I am a novice DIYer, but l enjoy watching the experienced types apply their magic. I love the picture as l have several of those in my current projects drawer...3 cats, 1 zebra and 1 raccoon. The reveal was epic, and we all knew how much work went into it. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.
Love this makeover. It's so fun and quirky and yet the "painting" of the downright adorable pup and the horse bit turned towel holder are giving me classic English country manor vibes. The floor may be my absolute favorite part of this redo though. I seriously LOVE checkerboard floors. I prefer the classic black and white version, but the colors you chose were absolutely perfect for this small powder room redo.
I really loved how you opened up that bathroom. I did like the vanity that was in there but it was just too much for that small space. Now the space is roomy and airy and doesn't feel like you have to squeeze yourself into it. The floating shelf was absolutely perfect. The new wallpaper was so whimsical. And I just love the portrait of the Chihuahua. Everything came out so lovely. Danie you are a DIY goddess. ✨💖✨
You fulfilled the requirements to perfection. It's light and bright and quirky, just my cup of tea. I'm sure your Mom in law loves it too, so many clever ideas and beautiful attention to detail. Fabulous, Danie. 😊👍👍🥳
As a pro equestrian , please note that the horse bit used as a towel hanger is upside down ; the short ends hold the bridle headstall ( top ) & the long shanks ( bottom ) are for the reins . Nice color concept overall & light 'n bright , but don't get the horse bit , dog pic , egrets wallpaper combo . Animal house ? 🙂
Hi Danie! Being a new Canadian patreon of your's!!!....Yahooo......I'm excited to see how your work continues to inspire me! I love the pop of black on the mirror and how that black contrasts against the wall and brings the wallpaper into focus in small details! I love the slabs of wood and how they are unconventionally different sizes! Your engineer hubby must be a great help with more difficult electrical tasks. I love your channel! Thanks for fun Saturday mornings! Cheers!
I cannot get over your MILs converted church, it's stunning and such goals!!! I am soooo excited for the after! update: looove the after!!! the painted tile floor with the wallpaper and the floating countertop are all sooo good
This powder room turned out so cute! It went from dark and heavy and cramped to light, bright and roomy. Very fun. Love the floor and the floating sink. Super cute.
Fabulous! The towel hanger is so unexpected and the floor is beautiful. Thanks for the tip about Mod Podge on the poster. I agree about peel and stick wallpaper…it is NOT for the faint of heart. AND you need a patient helper and probably a stiff drink at the end. As always, love your videos.
Amazing I agree the mirror needed to be black…the horse bit as a towel rail, genius. My daughter and I really enjoy the dose of crazy with every episode. The powder room is totally transformed 😊
WOW! What a great makeover for that tiny bathroom. Also, LOVE the horse bit towel rack idea and the added picture trim on the toilet wall! Now that’s a bathroom with an lively Attitude! 😉☺️
I was at a garage sale a long time ago and they had 1 antique wooden stirrup. We had horses and I LOVED horsie stuff, so I purchased it. Years later, we redid the kids' bathroom and I used that wooden stirrup as a towel rack. It worked perfectly and it was so stinking cute! The bit is the perfect towel rack, in my opinion!
You are so cute and I love watching your makeovers and diys. How great that your mother in law lives in a beautiful church and you gave her the perfect bathroom. Really amazing
Very nice transformation. I agree, wallpaper is very personal. Love the doggy “painting” too 😂 Never seen a moustache tattoo there. I love it, am quite tempted, what a hoot 🌈
I do really like it. But, the bestest benefit I got out of the series is I'm going to use Fiver to have someone help me design my kitchen. I'm not a diy'er but I do know what I want. Thanks for all the joy you bring in your videos.
I really like it, but I loved the “before” too- especially the vanity. I would have likely painted the vanity and put up some cool French country wallpaper and art…… perhaps that’s just the aesthetic I’m most drawn to at the moment - am I the only one? I think this just shows that “beauty” can come in many forms! I love to see new ideas! Thank you for sharing!
I could not wait to see the end result. It came out so beautiful and modern. I absolutely love her powder room!! So excited for the next section of her house you're going to do🥰
I loved the final result! Brilliant prep to securely anchor both the sink and shelves. You've come so far in your skills Dani and this bathroom turned out fantastic. The towel rack was inspired!
Oh gosh Danie, this bathroom turned out fabulous, it really looks so much more open and bright, love the floor, love the wallpaper, and those shelves and all of the cool accessories you chose, you are always so amazing at all of your DIY projects and I really enjoyed watching this video, have a fun and safe weekend, sending love and hugs, bye! 🤗😍👋👍🙏💜💜💜💜
I remember when you first posted this make over. By the comments many had not seen it before. Good idea to repost. The shape of the bathroom was challenging I thought. You were so creative and it turned out beautiful.
Beautiful results! But I expected nothing less from you. DiY tip that I do all the time to get that oil painted look on the funny portrait, lose the glass. The modge podge will protect it enough and make it look more like a canvas painting. Can't wait for the next project!
I know this is just one small bathroom, but this is probably my favorite room makeovers you’ve done. Probably because it is 100% my style. Really nice. I love the crane wallpaper, the floor, and the detail in the wall with the toilet. Great work!!
Would love to have seen the wall paper in more of those Walls because it's a vibe... Loved the Dog picture and of course the sink and shelving ...the floors are good too...💕
I love the personality and modern design. Kudos for mixing brass/gold with the black. I think I would have gone with one or the other, but the combo is great.
Love, love, love it! Colours, simplicity, everything looks great! Just a small comment about the pic of the dog. An actual oil painting does not have glass over it. Mod Podge will actually do a pretty good job of protecting the picture and you will never get glare from the glass! Just a thought. 😀
Danie, Danie, Danie.... you when and did it again. I love it so much, everything you did in this little room is very, very tastefull and classie. It turned out beautifull and inspiring ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love it! I have ModPodge advice (because its my favorite to craft with): its water based so it does expand any paper you apply it to, the trick is to mount it to a rigid base that will not warp and have a thick layer underneath so you can smooth any wrinkles that will appear while applying the coat on top, you want to work with it without letting the bottom coat dry first. I don't know if that makes sense, but I've seen a lot of people struggle with the warp effect and thought I'd pass on my experience.
Thank you. Love the wall paper wall. Have seen some rooms and halls totally wall paper from top to bottom. They impressed too. The tip about wallpaper was very healthful. God bless.
I was awaiting this makeover with so much excitement to see how it would turn out. You knocked it out of the park! It’s so beautiful and inspiring! Amazing job!
Oh Danie, it turned out beautifully! I love the wallpaper and the modern lighting. The sink shelf turned out so great! I painted my bedroom with Arid Landscape several years ago and I absolutely love it. I think it would be a great color to paint all the main living spaces in a house. I agree it’s very calming. I think it’s the perfect balance of warm and cool.
What an amazing home! I love the new bathroom. The unique items are cute and fun but still classy looking. You guys did a great job. I just love it. I love the old faucet , I need one of those lok
Love the whole bathroom. I especially love the soft colours you chose for the floor, it's different and not so bright it takes over the room. Well done Danie as usual 😊 gave a great weekend
I love it! That “panel” you made on the wall behind the toilet, I did that a few years ago on two entire walls in our bedroom, and it looks so good 😍 I still love it. If you look really close, you might see it on my profile picture, that photo is made in our bedroom. I also really love the artwork and the horse thingy in the bathroom!
Very beautifully done. I love the idea of the towel rack, but I cannot get the ones from one of the fivver designers out of my head - the towel racks that came down from the ceiling. I have never seen anything that cool, chic, and interesting in a bath/powder room before, or since.
Love this! Tip for next time on the art, use spray adhesive to attach the art to the backer board so you don’t get the wrinkles from oversaturating the print with mod podge. You also could use a semi glass gel medium instead of mod podge as it is less likely to absorb into the piece. Don’t use matte liquitex as it dries with a white sheen. Then finish with matte clear coat.
This is fabulous! I love all the special details but I especially love the tile! The way you painted it is very beautiful. I’m always impressed by your skill and vision and this little powder room is no exception. Also, great call on the mirror. It perfectly anchors the space.🌸

That Bentley “painting” is everything! Daphne is a very lucky MIL to have such a talented DIY DIL!!

Thanks Dannie 👍🏼🐨

This looks gorgeous. I love that it was a family affair, even the furry members. Once again, you nailed it!
This powder room is so beautiful!! Love the wallpaper and floors and yes, the black mirror looks way better! Love your desing style!!!
The floating sink made such a huge difference in feeling light and airy! And that art piece is perfect 🥰
BEAUTIFUL! Specially loved the mood change, it's so bright and cozy now!
It's the Frame for me 😂❤️

Love the checkered floor. I prefer subtlety rather than bold contrast, and this combination has me loving checked floors again!
It looks so much better and bigger without that enormous dark vanity! Love all the quirky touches. Great work!
This was a fun project. Daphne must have such a fun personality. I loved how the sink really opened up the narrow room. I love it all.
This is awesome! Quirky and fun without being weird, and still functional! Great job Danie!
Love this makeover. It's so fun and quirky and yet the "painting" of the downright adorable pup and the horse bit turned towel holder are giving me classic English country manor vibes. Your mother-in-law's home is amazing - I love everything about it. Love the fun and quirky! Powder room is spot on!
I really loved how you opened up that bathroom. I did like the vanity that was in there but it was just too much for that small space. @@DIYDanie Awesome! You make a great team!
I cannot get over your MILs converted church, it's stunning and such goals!!! I am soooo excited for the after! update: looove the after!!! the painted tile floor with the wallpaper and the floating countertop are all sooo good
The view of the wallpaper and of the ceiling light through that window is the cherry of top! Lovely outcome!
This powder room turned out so cute! It went from dark and heavy and cramped to light, bright and roomy. Very fun. Love the floor and the floating sink. Super cute.

I forever love checkered floors! It's great they're in style again!
lol I LOVE how wanting a ceiling light turned into the whole ceiling coming off……. That’s just DIY at its best.
Amazing I agree the mirror needed to be black…the horse bit as a towel rail, genius. My daughter and I really enjoy the dose of crazy with every episode. The powder room is totally transformed 😊
I love it! I always like a rug on a bathroom floor, but this looks great. It looks so much bigger with the floating sink.
WOW! What a great makeover for that tiny bathroom. Also, LOVE the horse bit towel rack idea and the added picture trim on the toilet wall! Now that’s a bathroom with an lively Attitude! 😉☺️

It turned out too stinkin cute!!!!
Was trying to think of the perfect descriptive word for this bathroom, PERFECT it is! 👏👏
I really like it, but I loved the “before” too- especially the vanity. I'm totally "stealing" that horse bit idea!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the whole bathroom :D
Yes! That was so worth the wait! It had those unexpected elements along since classic ones! What a fun powder room!
The vanity and floating sink combo are a game changer to make the space feel so much larger! I love the entire result.
I could not wait to see the end result. It came out so beautiful and modern. I absolutely love her powder room!! So excited for the next section of her house you're going to do🥰
The house is BEAUTIFUL and this is by far one of my fave bathrooms you've done. So cute! Love it!
I loved the final result! Brilliant prep to securely anchor both the sink and shelves. You've come so far in your skills Dani and this bathroom turned out fantastic. The towel rack was inspired!

My jaw dropped this looks soo cool so unique so classy and its tiny but totally packs bravo MRS Danie Bravo
I love how you brought all the elements together!! Awesome job!

Loved the Dog picture and of course the sink and shelving ...the floors are good too...💕
Looks fabulous and functional. Great work Dani and team. I teared up when I saw the Bentley picture, he's such a hambone and does rule the roost.
I love the personality and modern design. Kudos for mixing brass/gold with the black. I think I would have gone with one or the other, but the combo is great.
WOWWWW the horse bit towel rack is such a creative idea! Bathroom looks so beautiful and this is a dreammmm house
Love, love, love it! Colours, simplicity, everything looks great! Just a small comment about the pic of the dog. An actual oil painting does not have glass over it. Mod Podge will actually do a pretty good job of protecting the picture and you will never get glare from the glass! Just a thought. 😀
Happy you’re back! Love the changes and love that you put both yourself and your mother-in-law into this!
That picture is everything!!! lol! Excellent job, everything is perfection.

You definitely checked off all of the boxes! It's beautiful! And, kinda quirky! Perfect!
I didn't know Julia Michaels do DIY home makeover but I'm lovin it.
WOW! Just wow 🤩. Such an awesome outcome. Powder rooms should never be boring. I like your’s and Daphne’s styles.
Girl, you knocked it out of the park!!!
The previous style was moody, but love how light the new style is. Peel in stick wallpaper is something I will never try. Thanks for sharing Danie
That maple vanity top is stunning! The whole bathroom is beautiful, but the vanity top is extra special! Fantastic work!
I love the end result!!! So light and airy but still fun and quirky!!!!!!
This bathroom turned out so nice! If i could have a checkered floor i would!
honestly love that horse bit more than anything
Love the bathroom especially the checkerboard tile floor. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
Beautiful! The 'eagles' are fantastic! Love the towel holder. Wonderful room.
WOW!! I love it! Bright, fun and quirky but also refined and beautifully executed!
very very cool! It makes such a difference to have a few statement pieces in each space, it looks fabulous!
This converted church is EVERYTHING!
That bathroom is such an upscale...its stunning ..love the horse bit towel rail ...could have a couple of then..one for the loo roll too :D
Turned out great! There is so much more space having the free standing sink. Loved the light fixtures and the dog print so cute.
Thank you. Love the wall paper wall.
Have seen some rooms and halls totally wall paper from top to bottom. They impressed too. The tip about wallpaper was very healthful.
God bless.
LOVE IT x 3! A tiny space FULL of big personality. I have a female Chihuahua. Must have a painting of her in a Spanish mantilla.
Omgee girl you knocked it out the park!! Looooove!! Very elegant ❤️❤️❤️
I was excited to see how the towel rack would come down from the ceiling but maybe for another project
Knocked this out of the park Danie!!! Looks amazing and thanks for sharing all of your steps to get there! :D
Ahhh! I've been rewatching project runway too! 💜 Team Tim Gunn! He's amazing
That is a fun and unexpected powder room. Love all the wacky details! 👍👍
The bathroom looks great! Now I need to talk my husband into updating our tile floors. 😁
I was awaiting this makeover with so much excitement to see how it would turn out. You knocked it out of the park! It’s so beautiful and inspiring! Amazing job!
Horse bit - pure genius Danie!! Shame we didn't get to see what Daphne thought of the bathroom, esp the horse bit, but that's okay. 😊
Danie! So cool! Love the pup painting! And the sink! And the floor! Terrific planning!😊
Totally nailed it! Love it, so perfect and I continue to have major church-house envy 😍
Love the artwork..I did that for my son's four German Shepherds.
Love the redo! Fab job! Especially loved the dog picture and the horse bit towel rack, genius! Also you a crazy goofball! 😍
Very beautifully done. I love the idea of the towel rack, but I cannot get the ones from one of the fivver designers out of my head - the towel racks that came down from the ceiling. I have never seen anything that cool, chic, and interesting in a bath/powder room before, or since.
Love the Mod Podge hack! The room is a perfect blend of modern and quirky cool.
I absolutely love this bathroom. It is stunning! Only thing I while change is to make the metal on the towel holder match.
This is fabulous! I love all the special details but I especially love the tile! The way you painted it is very beautiful. I’m always impressed by your skill and vision and this little powder room is no exception. Also, great call on the mirror. It perfectly anchors the space.🌸
