I totally forgot about this project so this video was a good surprise! Also love how unconventional you can get with powder bathrooms and you hit the sweet spot between quirky and charming, nice one Danie! 😉
This turned out awesome. I have a Chihuahua and I do have the old Fossett in my bathroom and I am going to change it out I hate it . The new one looks wonderful .Great choice I love all the wood and I might have to get myself a picture of my Chihuahua thanks for all the ideas you’re awesome
Oooo this house!! Love the architecture, cannot wait to watch you knock this out of the park! You are always so inspiring with all your skills and creativity!
Hi there! Just thought that I'd mention a tip for wall paper: instead of having to worry about lining up the edge of your sheet with the ceiling and corners AND lining up the pattern, leave some slack at the top and sides and only focus on lining up your pattern. Use a laser level as a guide for lining up your sheets along an *actually* straight vertical line. Come in with an exacto knife afterwards to cut along the ceiling and corners. This is extra helpful considering most walls and ceilings aren't perfectly straight to begin with. ❤️
There is not a single thing I'll like to change in this makeover. The tile, the wallpaper, the matte black mirror, that cute portrait, towel holder, sconces, the floating shelves omg it's so beautiful. You've done an excellent job Danie. It's so gorgeous modern yet traditional looking. I wish you had a team like Alexandra's and wished I could see all the amazing makeovers you could do. More people need your diy makeovers.
You fulfilled the requirements to perfection. It's light and bright and quirky, just my cup of tea. I'm sure your Mom in law loves it too, so many clever ideas and beautiful attention to detail. Fabulous, Danie. 😊👍👍🥳
Your bravery & smart thinking on the first prep day really set things up for a terrific result! Good job! Love the wall paper, the floor and the maple shelves/counter tops! The doggie art work seems like the perfect fit for Daphne, too! Fun! Finally, I really enjoyed your “I say neigh” joke!
I cannot get over your MILs converted church, it's stunning and such goals!!! I am soooo excited for the after! update: looove the after!!! the painted tile floor with the wallpaper and the floating countertop are all sooo good
I'm very torn on this one, the makeover looks nice, but I have a soft spot for the old fashioned classic furniture. The vanity was probably too big for the space, but was a beautiful piece, and the old wall sconces were lovely too.
As a pro equestrian , please note that the horse bit used as a towel hanger is upside down ; the short ends hold the bridle headstall ( top ) & the long shanks ( bottom ) are for the reins . Nice color concept overall & light 'n bright , but don't get the horse bit , dog pic , egrets wallpaper combo . Animal house ? 🙂
I loved the final result! Brilliant prep to securely anchor both the sink and shelves. You've come so far in your skills Dani and this bathroom turned out fantastic. The towel rack was inspired!
Hi Danie! Being a new Canadian patreon of your's!!!....Yahooo......I'm excited to see how your work continues to inspire me! I love the pop of black on the mirror and how that black contrasts against the wall and brings the wallpaper into focus in small details! I love the slabs of wood and how they are unconventionally different sizes! Your engineer hubby must be a great help with more difficult electrical tasks. I love your channel! Thanks for fun Saturday mornings! Cheers!
That was so much fun. I am a novice DIYer, but l enjoy watching the experienced types apply their magic. I love the picture as l have several of those in my current projects drawer...3 cats, 1 zebra and 1 raccoon. The reveal was epic, and we all knew how much work went into it. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.
Love this makeover. It's so fun and quirky and yet the "painting" of the downright adorable pup and the horse bit turned towel holder are giving me classic English country manor vibes. The floor may be my absolute favorite part of this redo though. I seriously LOVE checkerboard floors. I prefer the classic black and white version, but the colors you chose were absolutely perfect for this small powder room redo.
WOW! What a great makeover for that tiny bathroom. Also, LOVE the horse bit towel rack idea and the added picture trim on the toilet wall! Now that’s a bathroom with an lively Attitude! 😉☺️
I could not wait to see the end result. It came out so beautiful and modern. I absolutely love her powder room!! So excited for the next section of her house you're going to do🥰
You are so talented and accomplished, Danie! I find you to be an inspiration even at my senior age! Checkered floors have been around forever and this color combo is much more livable than black and white. However, it clangs at me because of the fabulous crane wallpaper in Grey, black and white next to the warmer white and khaki ( or green) floor. Is that just a color perception from camera to phone screen? The warm next to cool missed for me even though each was lovely.
I loved to powder room make over, the only thing is some of the finishing touches weren’t my taste but it’s not mine so 😉 as long as Daphne loves it that’s all that matters 😉❤️👍🏼🇨🇦
Whenever I see you opening up a wall to gently move a fixture for the sink and I can say - oh yeah, I could do that too- it makes me squeal with joy. Thanks for staying right at my level, even as I keep learning new things lol
I was awaiting this makeover with so much excitement to see how it would turn out. You knocked it out of the park! It’s so beautiful and inspiring! Amazing job!
This powder room turned out so cute! It went from dark and heavy and cramped to light, bright and roomy. Very fun. Love the floor and the floating sink. Super cute.
Beautiful results! But I expected nothing less from you. DiY tip that I do all the time to get that oil painted look on the funny portrait, lose the glass. The modge podge will protect it enough and make it look more like a canvas painting. Can't wait for the next project!
I love it! That “panel” you made on the wall behind the toilet, I did that a few years ago on two entire walls in our bedroom, and it looks so good 😍 I still love it. If you look really close, you might see it on my profile picture, that photo is made in our bedroom. I also really love the artwork and the horse thingy in the bathroom!
Love the whole bathroom. I especially love the soft colours you chose for the floor, it's different and not so bright it takes over the room. Well done Danie as usual 😊 gave a great weekend
Danie: Modge Podge! Me to my partner: Dang, she still says "Modge Podge"... XD Danie: ... Mod Podge... Me: Ohhhh...! Danie 3 seconds later: Modge Podge!!!! Sorry, it's too cute. :D
Danie, Danie, Danie.... you when and did it again. I love it so much, everything you did in this little room is very, very tastefull and classie. It turned out beautifull and inspiring ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
This is fabulous! I love all the special details but I especially love the tile! The way you painted it is very beautiful. I’m always impressed by your skill and vision and this little powder room is no exception. Also, great call on the mirror. It perfectly anchors the space.🌸
I really loved how you opened up that bathroom. I did like the vanity that was in there but it was just too much for that small space. Now the space is roomy and airy and doesn't feel like you have to squeeze yourself into it. The floating shelf was absolutely perfect. The new wallpaper was so whimsical. And I just love the portrait of the Chihuahua. Everything came out so lovely. Danie you are a DIY goddess. ✨💖✨
Oh gosh Danie, this bathroom turned out fabulous, it really looks so much more open and bright, love the floor, love the wallpaper, and those shelves and all of the cool accessories you chose, you are always so amazing at all of your DIY projects and I really enjoyed watching this video, have a fun and safe weekend, sending love and hugs, bye! 🤗😍👋👍🙏💜💜💜💜
I too forgot you had this in planning! Agree with the great balance of quirky & charming. ( Doesn't it need a trash bin? Maybe a burlap covered small waste basket? "Feed" on it)😊 Shivering 🖤🔔,💕
I forgot about this❤ your mother-in-law is so fortunate to have a talented, son and daughter-in-law like you❤have a blessed weekend, 🐶Otis and me❄️❄️❄️Massachusetts.. oh my goodness for Christmas. My daughter and son-in-law gave me a picture of my dog old is he is a wheaten Cairn Terrier, it is huge😂😂 he is a general in it. She bought it on Etsy also.😅😅😅 I have him going up the hallway. He’s in a beautiful frame that they also had the shop do, my best Christmas gift.😮
Do you guys speak French in Toronto? Asking because it sounded like you clearly said 'walla,' and not voila. What's up with that, girl and what's up with not showing the reveal? OMG, how could you do that to us???😢
Lol I was born in '84. That sink/vanity, although beautiful, belongs in a much larger washroom. Once the vanity was removed I betcha the room (if it could) breathed for the first time in a while. 😊
As always a fantastic job I would’ve liked to seen the wallpaper on the back behind the toilet also with the picture I think steel would’ve been fantastic, but my personal opinion.....great great job
Love the house, beautiful features. Loved many aspects of bathroom makeover. The floating shelves were beautiful, sink, mirror, picture, accessories. Loved the floor. For me though the wallpaper I just didn’t like it. The wallpaper colors matched great. But far to many cranes for such a small bathroom . How will you feed them and clean up after them. Very bold design with all those cranes.
Have you ever tried to do the overlap trick, with wallpaper? You overlap the edge then slice it through both layers, and peal off the top piece, lift up the paper and remove the excess underneath piece (you just trimmed off). Then you’re left with two edges that match perfectly 😉. ( I hope you understand what I’m explaining). It works great, and there’s no butting edges up together.
The oil-painting-hack might work better if you frame it without the glass - like an oil painting would be framed! (Might not be great for a bathroom though...) I like everything about this room, the floating shelves are so chique!!
Hey - no fair! You have a cool DIY In Progress painting coverall, but it's not available in your shop? Do you know how many painting projects I have lined up for this spring? Do you know how messy I am? Do you know how many pieces of clothing I will ruin without those coveralls?
Fabulous! The towel hanger is so unexpected and the floor is beautiful. Thanks for the tip about Mod Podge on the poster. I agree about peel and stick wallpaper…it is NOT for the faint of heart. AND you need a patient helper and probably a stiff drink at the end. As always, love your videos.
I love the personality and modern design. Kudos for mixing brass/gold with the black. I think I would have gone with one or the other, but the combo is great.
Super upgrade but maybe instead of wire basket for TP, an Ikea shoe cabinet mounted on the side of the toilet, too close for splash. Love the ceiling fixture 🤩!!
Well done! I enjoyed it coming togheter, you put so much work in it and it shows off! I thought you would leave off the glass of the painting, showing of the nice brushstrokes... but maybe you put it on because of hygiene??
I think the black mirror surround works, but have you heard of Design Master spray paints? You might have been able to do a better match with the sconces with Brilliant Gold.
Love, love, love it! Colours, simplicity, everything looks great! Just a small comment about the pic of the dog. An actual oil painting does not have glass over it. Mod Podge will actually do a pretty good job of protecting the picture and you will never get glare from the glass! Just a thought. 😀
I really like it, but I loved the “before” too- especially the vanity. I would have likely painted the vanity and put up some cool French country wallpaper and art…… perhaps that’s just the aesthetic I’m most drawn to at the moment - am I the only one? I think this just shows that “beauty” can come in many forms! I love to see new ideas! Thank you for sharing!
I totally forgot about this project so this video was a good surprise! Also love how unconventional you can get with powder bathrooms and you hit the sweet spot between quirky and charming, nice one Danie! 😉
Love the checkered floor. I prefer subtlety rather than bold contrast, and this combination has me loving checked floors again!
My jaw dropped this looks soo cool so unique so classy and its tiny but totally packs bravo MRS Danie Bravo
Loved how this turned out!
This turned out awesome!
In love with it it’s stunning ❤
Looks soo awesome!
Awesome job.
Loved it!
I have a friend whose mom and wife have the same first name. You and daphne - mighty close!
I liked it, good job. You should probably remove the glass from that wonderful picture. You should never have glass in a picture, makes it look cheap.
Oooo this house!! Love the architecture, cannot wait to watch you knock this out of the park! You are always so inspiring with all your skills and creativity!
Awww THANK YOU

This powder room is so beautiful!! Love the wallpaper and floors and yes, the black mirror looks way better! Love your desing style!!!
This is awesome! Quirky and fun without being weird, and still functional! Great job Danie!
That Bentley “painting” is everything! Daphne is a very lucky MIL to have such a talented DIY DIL!!

Beautiful transformation! Those maple countertops are everything. Well done, Danie! 👏👏👏

I love how you brought all the elements together!! Awesome job!
I forever love checkered floors! It's great they're in style again!

Danie! So cool! Love the pup painting! And the sink! And the floor! Terrific planning!😊
I raced over to your channel! Yay! DANIE!
Sorry - but I much preferred the original.
I love it! I always like a rug on a bathroom floor, but this looks great. It looks so much bigger with the floating sink.
This bathroom turned out so nice! If i could have a checkered floor i would!
Love it! Please boop Kenobi on his nose from me 🙂
DANIE! This powder room is amazing! Im obsessed, great job!✨😍
Love the whole bathroom. I especially love the soft colours you chose for the floor, it's different and not so bright it takes over the room. Well done Danie as usual 😊 gave a great weekend
This was a fun project. Daphne must have such a fun personality. I loved how the sink really opened up the narrow room. I love it all.
Yay, I've been waiting for the next episode of this makeover.
It turned out too stinkin cute!!!!
Wow! What a transformation 🎉 youre so talented
Danie: Modge Podge!
Me to my partner: Dang, she still says "Modge Podge"... XD
Danie: ... Mod Podge...
Me: Ohhhh...!
Danie 3 seconds later: Modge Podge!!!!
Sorry, it's too cute. :D
I ❤ everything about it
It's the Frame for me 😂❤️
It feels so spacious! ❤ Wow! And I love the art you got, it's too cute!!!
Love the bathroom especially the checkerboard tile floor. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
So Danie, first: how does it feel calling Jeffrey HUSBAND?? 👍🏼 That bathroom is GORGEOUS! Just GORGEOUS! LOVE the floor.
That picture is everything!!! lol! Excellent job, everything is perfection.

You definitely checked off all of the boxes! It's beautiful! And, kinda quirky! Perfect!
Lol I was born in '84. That sink/vanity, although beautiful, belongs in a much larger washroom. Once the vanity was removed I betcha the room (if it could) breathed for the first time in a while. 😊
LOVE IT x 3! A tiny space FULL of big personality. I have a female Chihuahua. Must have a painting of her in a Spanish mantilla.
WOW!! I love it! Bright, fun and quirky but also refined and beautifully executed!
Wait......we need a tour of her place. That converted church is my DREAM

Just to say, the “before” powder room is not ugly. Many people would be thrilled to have that as an “ after.”
Super upgrade but maybe instead of wire basket for TP, an Ikea shoe cabinet mounted on the side of the toilet, too close for splash. Love the ceiling fixture 🤩!!
I'm totally "stealing" that horse bit idea!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the whole bathroom :D
A VPN isn’t going to protect you from malware that comes through a USB device, just so you know.
Well done! I enjoyed it coming togheter, you put so much work in it and it shows off! I thought you would leave off the glass of the painting, showing of the nice brushstrokes... but maybe you put it on because of hygiene??

lol I LOVE how wanting a ceiling light turned into the whole ceiling coming off……. That’s just DIY at its best.
