Glad to see y'all made it. Old school Metallica is this and was this...almost 40 flippin' years ago...and how about Slayer? Instantly pigeon holed by public perception as being satanic or devil worship... meanwhile, back here in Reality, this Slayer fan, as well as every other Slayer fan I knew and grew up with in Sheboygan, WI could feel the real, the authenticity, the courage to stand naked and vulnerable on the world stage and say this is what I came here to EXPRESS through my art, my music, and I know that for myself and seemingly plenty others, had a sense that Slayer in particular arose to remind mankind of their own stench throughout our history to this very day! Nearly all metal seemed to be almost prophetic - in a real sense, not the Sunday School, self-righteous, virtue signaling, Jesus blood covers our sins so we get to keep sinning til see you next Sunday for more blasphemous back patting atta-boys and bias-confirming heretic affirmations and sanctimonious finger wagging judgment of others, but don't let the priest go on past kickoff... We might make the playoffs, but we got a dog in the hunt with an entire State of no lifers needing a professional sports team to live vicariously through. These are grown ass men, paid criminally insane salaries... to play A GAME. Its all idolatry, but keep your mouth shut, and dont listen to demonic music like Slayer... fkn wHat??? Not in Sheboygan, we're not hearing that. We're too busy hearing our own homegrown Metal, MORBID SAINT, founded by dudes I went to high school with... IN THE 80's, and they just dropped a new album, SWALLOWED BY HELL, also not devil worship, but rather chillingly accurate prophetic warning to all, in spite of Sunday dress up religulous chicanery. Check it out Jim, and as you do, remember that these are dudes in their late 50s, almost 60 years old.
