Absolutely loved the show they killed it. One of my favorite meme I saw was “they took me so far back I got ready for school this morning.” 😂
Accurate af
🤣🤣 ...but, true dat!
Lmao!!
😂😂😂
🤣
I loved it. It was nostalgic and my grandkids think grandma is crazy now.
😂
haha love it ! Teaching them grandkids the right way !
I’m a 56 year old grandmother and loved the half time show. My son was a huge fan of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre and after playing their music in my car at all times, how could I not be a fan. All of the artists were fantastic! This show brought back all kinds of feels and I think it was one of the best I have seen. Very well done!.
Absolutely ❤️
All I'm going to say is I wouldn't be mad if the NFL jus had them do the show every year from now on.
I agree with that.
Second that. I don't even watch american football, I just appreciate the legends on that stage.
Same.
Facts...Like the NBA did with the Jabbawockeez for a minute Lol
True
I loved dres energy; my man was grinning like I never seen. My man had had a brain aneurysm last year. As for Em I felt he kneeled for Dre and Tupac. That 15 minutes the world was normal, and we all was teens again lol.
My husband doesn’t like hip hop and he enjoyed this one. My kids (23, 18,15) adored it. And I thought it was FREAKING AWESOME!!
Also…as far as Eminem goes, you had to expect him to cause controversy 🤣🤣🤣 It’s Em.
I feel sorry for your husband lol
@@DM-pn5lv a lot of people get turned off on hip hop and rap because of the vulgar language and what’s talked about, I love rap, but when I’m in public I don’t bump it, not everyone wants to hear about drugs and fu**in lol
He kneeled and Dre played the intro to Tupac's I ain't mad at Cha. Seemed like he was showing respect to Tupac and those that paved the way for him.
I guess the 23 year old was enjoying little more than everyone else
@@atharvachikodikar2405 not so sure. I was adoring it. Probably more than him.
Legendary Hip-Hop Icons!!!!
The 90s came out in ALL of us during halftime!!! I 🤟🏼😄🤟🏼
Well said...
Snoop really just showed the whole world how to crip walk 😆
Serena Williams did it after a win at the Olympics singles match.....
@@robinvolpi Tennis and SuperBowl Halftime I would say are different levels far,far from eachother lol
@@jvnbrk I didn't suggest that they were totally equivalent... was simply throwing out that it's been displayed to large audiences before. Several times, in fact. Obviously the Superbowl is the largest audience of them all.
Sharing is Caring.... ;)
without Dre, there'd be no Snoop, Eminem, or 50
True and also 50 and em helped dre get back up there facts
@@bangercrosby7975 Well, considering the other mfs that Dre has helped, he'd be fine without Em and 50
@@emmyjr1231 cool story bro
Facts!!
Tru Dre helped these dudes but I’ve seen all these dudes on interviews n shit saying that they all helped each other out. And made each other better
Best halftime show ever. I don’t care what anyone says. This was on their home base, this was really special. Honestly magical. It was like that little football game interrupted a star studded concert 😂👏👏👏♥️
One of the best halftime shows. It doesn't beat Prince. There's also Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
@@stephaniemeals4983 I think this beats them both and all others... I loved Princes performance, he’s a true legend, but this line up was just pure magic. For me, this was THE best. It’s gonna take something extra special to top this one for me.
@@NativeNYerChicHK Prince was pure more pure magic. Purple Rain the rain. This is year's half time show was ONE of the best, but nothing will ever top Prince for me and MANY others.
Thanks for giving Mary J her flowers 💐🏆👑❤️
If you notice when Em took a knee, Dr. Dre started playing part of Tupac’s song on the piano. His kneeling was two-fold: making a statement and paying respects to Tupac. Also if you look at the field around the stage was a picture of the city of Compton
Asia has the most beautiful smile. You guys had a blast and you shared your enthusiasm. What more can be asked for in a reaction. Dr Dre did an amazing job putting together that show. One for the legends. The OG's brought forth their energy.
I'm a 61 year old white woman and I love Dre, Snoop and all of them!!
Fam, this halftime made me emotional at end seeing all the icons flexing...like man , these goats got me thru at least the last 30 years of my life...think bout that THREE DECADES 🤯
I think some parts of the show were amazing and a few parts fell short. I wish it'd been 3-5 minutes longer. The part that really stands out to me is the combined success of everyone that performed vs expectations. You've got a group of artists who grew up around poverty and violence, not all of them even finished high school and they're rocking the largest stage in the world. Never let someone else convince you of what you're incapable of. ❤
I appreciate that they try to rap/sing live, but it’s kinda hard to heer 50 cent and eminem parts since it mixed with the recording song in the background.. but Dr Dre and snoop dog sounds like they haven’t aged at all lol 😂
@@Timduo They only get 15 minutes to perform. It was like a 3 hour concert within 15 minutes. I feel the same way because I was hype with the television up loud beep bopping and dancing. 🤣😂🤣😂
I loved Mary J collapsing on her back at the end 😂 I thought she was amazing. As far as Eminem kneeling he did it in rehearsal it wasn’t a surprise they knew he was going to and didn’t have a problem with how he did it
Exactly 💯 🔥
I think Eminem took knee out of respect for Tupac not about Colin KAPERNICK like most folks were saying
Mary did just what Anderson did 3months ago performed live with Silk Sonic Smokin Out The Window. Remember?? That moment for the group was Hilarious and amazing.
I can see why Anderson Paak and Eminem are friends, you just never know what's next, they're very free spirited.
Queen Blige did her thing.
I love the fact that you guys noticed Anderson. Paak on the Drums, I was smiling whole time you guys were talking about him, I also love the fact that Em, Snoopy and Doc did everything that NFL told them not to do. NFL told Em not to Kneel, but he kneeled anyway to pay homage to Tupac, NFL told Snoopy not to Crip Walk and not to have a Blue Bandana hanging out of his back pockets, he Crip Walked anyway and instead of having a Blue Bandana hanging out of his back pockets he wore a full Blue Bandana outfit, NFL also told Dr. Dre to take out the "negative references" to police out of his lyrics, he kept them in anyway, I love these guys like they are my own family members, I mean I didn't grow up listening to them, lets be real, I was born in 2003 and had a Christian upbringing, so If I've ever listened to any music, it's mostly pop and R&B, it's only when I reach my Teenage Years where I got into a little bit of Rock and Hip Hop, even though my mother was a Christian, she would still sing some Hip Hop songs word for word and I'd just sit there with my mouth open questioning if she's really a Christian or not, I'd also be impressed that she could sing these songs word for word so accurately, either way, even though I didn't grow up listening to them, because I was ignorant, they give me chills that makes me wish I was born in their time.
But they're too scared to say "fuck"? xd
Like 90% of reactors I've seen have talked about Paak.
@@blondymonk1535 i can guarantee if they started cursing that shit woulda been shut down lol
@@z0ffi928 But they are aloud to have seductive women and crip walking and promo?
@@blondymonk1535 yes… bc thats not cursing on national tv lmao. Tv shows literally show sex, and gang bangin, very rarely do they allow curse words on national tv
Best Superbowl Halftime show ever. Respect to Pac. Inlove with this halftime I've seen.
This took me back to my childhood much simpler times. I am blessed to have grown up in the 90's.
Obviously, this EXTRAORDINARY performance was rehearsed many months in advance of Super Bowl LVI.
For me, what makes this even more SPECIAL, one year ago, Dr. Dre suffered an aneurysm and was hospitalized. Aneurysms can kill you or cause serious permanent mental or physical impairments. From where I see, Dr. Dre looks GREAT, and it appears he made a complete and full recovery.
PURE GENIUS!!.
I am 64 yrs. old and I LOVED it, I had goosebumps the whole time, it's true they are all legends, and the songs were iconic songs from their time and the tribute to TuPac from Dre on the piano and Em taking a knee even after the NFL did not want him to, and they didn't want Snoop to wear a bandana out of his back pocket so he wore a whole outfit made out of bandanas and yellow trim to rep the Rams .... totally cool.
The whole show was amazing to have 6 artists bring their moment to the stage and they all brought it because usually you have 1 artist or group. They brought that best show I've seen in years. All of the goats!!!
This halftime show made my heart and soul so happy. I am 69 and moments like this bring hope, in a way I was only hoping to see during my lifetime. I thought the knee was in respect and memory of Tupac. Wasn't Dr Dre playing a Tupac song theme?
He was, he was playing "I ain't mad at Cha" the NFL knew he was going to kneel at that point, he'd been doing it all week and they had no issue
People are making a mountain out of a mole hill
kneeling is a sign of submission, not respect.
Yes
Taking a knee is only a protest when the National Anthem is being okayed because they ask everyone to please rise/stand.
This particular knee was most likely a Tribute for Tupac when Dre was playing "I ain't mad at cha" on the piano. The performance itself consist of icons and legend of hip-hop. Minus one Tupac Shakur. It would only make sense to Pay tribute to Pac instead of Kap.
From what I understand it is both. They said he shouldn’t and he was like “FU”. Because..well. It’s Em.
He’s 49. He was trying to catch his breath. Especially if he ever had Covid. I had it over a month ago and I’m still coughing. But he killed it tho..
It was a protest they told him not to do it duh
He did it out of respect too Tupac and dr Dre
It was an NFL Event, they have a former Black head coach suing the NFL...Em took a knee for #7, & his fight against police brutality. The NFL allowed Em to do what he wanted to do.
It was so great, I'm Gen X like all those performers except Kendrick, so those songs really brought back good memories. The organization, the set, the dancers etc..all fantastic. I didn't know if they could pull it off, but they killed it!
You don't like the Pulitzer Prize winning King Kendrick Lamar?? The voice of a generation??
@@robinvolpi I do like him, I think his was arguably the best performance and I loved his song. I just said the "old'' performers are all Gen X like I am, not that I don't like Kendrick. :-)
It's family we haven't seen together in along time it was freaking awesome ♥️♥️😀😀😀😀we grew up with this bunch ♥️
Our pet parrot started chirping along with Kendrick Lamar during his section of the performance. I'm still trying to figure out what it was about his part that set the bird off when the other sections did not. Listening along now I think it might have been the staccato keyboard riff that moves the song forward. At any rate, N.W.A. dropped Straight Outta Compton when I was in college and that album went off like a bomb -- eyes opened, mind blown. So this halftime show was gratifying to me in a generational way. Awesome! Consider checking out Snoop Dogg's studio debut in the theme song to the 1992 film Deep Cover, starring Laurence Fishburne and Jeff Goldblum. Also the piano riff from Mary J. Blige "No More Drama" comes from "Nadia's Theme" (aka Theme From The Young And The Restless) made famous by Nadia Comaneci during the 1976 Summer Olympics.
One NAME: Mary J Blige - The LEGENDARY QUEEN of Hip Hop Soul and R&B! And with that we see the importance of honoring the true legends of the history of the arts, those who founded the path
The reason I felt it was legendary is because I never thought they would have hip hop artists like real rappers that at some Point in their career had a lot of controversy surrounding them on there and some people was like why is Mary there I mean come on she is the queen of hip-hop in R&B she supposed to be there
Dre produce "No more drama" and he invited Mary J along with Snoop, 50. Em and collaboration with Kendrick. The legends paved the way for the hip-hop/ rappers today. Back in the day the music industry didn't recognize hip-hop/rap. Thank God for BET, Soul Train, Essence and Jet magazine because their platform help put them in the public eye to be recognized. A culture with people rapping and dancing at the same time changed the game. The production and choreography, were always a spin off from the videos at the concerts. They executed this Super Bowl performance with expertise and that's what they're use to. The production, transitions, artist and choreography was on point and completed on time due to only having 15 minutes to perform. Dre paid 7 million dollars and it was spent well because he showed them how it's done. NFL always turned a blind eye to hip-hop/rap and thank God for Jay Z. They came to entertain and they showed up to complete the assignment.
Dre assisted and solo produced every artist on this show, including Mary (family affair).
Loved it. Didn't listen to rap a whole lot in the 90s but I knew all the songs and loved Mary J and Eminem the best. I feel bad for 50 getting teased about being a whole dollar because I did laugh at that joke but he still looked good and sounded great.
definitely one of the greatest half time shows ever
This grandma loved it 🔥 Especially 50cent!!!
This was, by far, my favorite halftime show of all time! I am of the Dre and Snoop generation and Dre's beats hit just as hard as the first time I heard them. I danced the entire time and even Crip walked with Snoop a bit. As for how the younger generation felt about it, my thirteen year old niece added both Chronic albums to her playlist because she loved the show so much. Bottom line, these performers are legends and their music is timeless! Great review, much love!
This had to be one of the best halftime shows ever. Everything about it was amazing. Even my mom who doesn’t like hip-hop/rap loved this performance.
Great reaction and as for the kneel by Em there shouldnt be any controversy if you heard the music that Dre played after he took the knee it was Tupac's I aint Mad at you he was pay homage to Tupac because he should have been there for this
You caught that too, and I also think Dre was telling the law that he ain't mad at them but it's time for change starting with letting hip hop do the halftime show ....
I get it but, at the same time, whatever the reason behind Eminem kneeling or not, "certain people" were gonna be mad cause their issue is with the performance and the culture being represented. The issue never was 'bout Em taking a knee or not, it was cause -for these folk - the performance was "too black" and they ain't down with it. Like, let's be honest.
SEE that's what I got from Em kneeling .. some folks jus LOOK for stuff to be negative about..
Jus enjoy the music and that these legends still AMAZING!!
He did it for respect for pac....... the kneeling political is during the national anthem
loved this halftime show and your reaction! thank you!! best halftime show in my memory.
I thought this was a great show (certainly better than previous years) but for me personally, the 2 greatest Super Bowl halftime shows were performed by 2 “departed greats”… Prince & Michael Jackson ✊️😄👍🔥🔥🔥
Agree 👍
Agreed
My top 3 halftime shows
1. Prince
2. This year's show
3. Michael jackson
respect all around man, all legends.
Gotta put Bruce Springsteen up there too
@@kylerasmusson9109 IN THAT SPECIFIC ORDER, FACTS STRAIGHT UP PHUKEN FACTS 💯🙏
I’m a kid who hasn’t had these legends while growing up, but I enjoyed this halftime show alot
Best halftime show ever...STILL BTW Most of them are in their 50s and Mary J looks great...STILL
We gotta get Jay Z and Nas and all the NY legends to do this next year but in NY. Can you imagine how fire Jay and Alicia Keys “Empire Sate of Mind” in NY at the Super Bowl would be? I have literal chills just thinking about it. MAKE IT HAPPEN NFL!!!
The super bowl is the reason I started fucking with old school hiphop
Gen x here. As soon as eminem knealed after tupak little piece by dre. I knew it was for him. Really wish they did his hologram. Plus love the snoop to dogg pic on the wall a piece from one of his videos.
Anderson Paak, the Modern-day Funk Gawd, on the drums!!
Nice reaction, I love how the lady is smiling throughout the reaction 😍
My Baby Kendrick Lamar and his Dancers Understood The Assignment❣🔥🎆🔥❣
I was just 13 when Dre snoop & Mary j hit the scene I still bump their music ❤️
You guys are funny😂 love the energy! Much love from Norway🇳🇴
This made me super happy and hyped, but also sad at who we've lost since then.
In my opinion Kendrick Lamar's performance was the best!!!!
I've been a fan and subscriber for a long time but I've never seen BJ so lit and so hyped!💯🤣 Incredible performances by all of them!🐐🔥🐐🔥🐐🔥🐐🔥🐐🔥🐐🤗❤✌
Dre came to my kids elementary school deep in Compton and donated computers and school supplies back in 2016. He took picture with the staff and kids and signed autographs and everything. Love him and his music always.
And the set was to represent Compton. The name of the restaurant and other spots. This was really a
Compton California set.
I'm 62 years old and I loved the show! Mary is a legend and Snoop still has that flow. I for one so appreciated M' taking a knee. So much of what he does gets by passed in his videos or even lyrically, but the symbolism is next level. Loved the reaction guys and Asia, Don't fret about that pie (lol) Sorry but that too was next level! As always stay safe and Love you both.
The best Half time show ever! Legendary. What a treat for the ones that were there. They got the concert all in one of the very Best!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I heard the Rams players said this halftime show got them pumped to win
If you go back and watch the end, Dre and Em point up. The ending cinematic is Tupac looking over his city from the top of the stadium.
Snoop is the coolest cat EVER! He is just...he's just Snoop. He's a whole vibe on his own!
Amazing nostalgia. Lovedddd seeing Anderson!
Rush 80s Rock fan here. But also love Dre, Snoop and Mary J. Best Halftime show ever
The younger generation enjoyed the show too. They just like seeing their parents rocking it.
I think he kneeled to show respect cause Dre was playing Tupac 🤣 song he's one of M's idol ♥️♥️♥️
This is why the half-time show for this show WAS THE BEST EVER !!!!
Y'all, I've watched a lot of Siperbowl Halftime shows that were great, and in my opinion, this halftime show and Michaels Jackson's halftime show that he did in the early 90s are two of the best performances.Glad y'all did a music reaction on last years halftime show. All the songs that we know and love. Sending y'all positive vibes this weekend. Peace and love!
P.S. Did y'all see Mary J Blige's Grammy performance to No More Drama? If not y'all should check it out She killed it at the Grammy's per usual haha.
Mary Jane slapping the head, weave must itch! LOL
It was the absolute best. Especially Mrs. Mary. She was gorgeous as usual. And all women. No nudity, no cursing, just hits.
yup those 50's dancer are fire, they danced very very well
Next to Prince this was the best Half Time Show in my humble opinion.
Don't forget Anderson Paak on drums
I didn't notice him getting on the knee either, but I also notice him wearing a wedding ring too. Em wore a wedding ring. Am I the only one that saw that?

Best super bowl show ever. I'm 37 and everyone I know in my generation we feel like the halftime show was just for us lol. I don't know about everybody else though but when Mary was singing no more drama I felt like she was singing for the whole world we have been through so much and I felt like that song was a prayer for us. This is the fourth time I watched this half time. But watching it with you was the best.
I know y'all watched it over again. I know I did. I remember when rap first started. It was a new thing. Something you never heard before. I loved it! By far the best ever. Not just saying that because I love Eminem and Snoop Dogg, the whole thing was amazing ❤
Snoop was reppin his peeps( Blue, Crip walk)😂
The OGs showing new rappers how to rock a performance. They're in their 50s but still no new hip-hop artist comes cloaser to them.
What you are missing in all these artists is all the music was made by Dre, including Mary who went to Dre for let's get it started beat...
Eminem kneeled when the NFL told him not to, But he had to when Dre played that I AIN'T MAD ATCHA cuz Em respect Pac for real 🐐

My teenage daughter watched with us and she was just as hyped as her father and I ♥️ Gen Z LOVES these guys as much as Gen X does, and adding Kendrick they felt was for them. At least that’s how my 17yr old daughter and her friends felt. This show invited every one in. All inclusive in many ways; older rappers, young rapper, black rappers, white rapper, skinny dancers, heavy ones, old dancers, young ones and every shade of brown skin the eye could imagine. This had to be the most diverse halftime show ever, in many ways. Loads of symbolism too, from little personal touches in the set, to colors worn, to Em’s kneeling, to lines changed to suit today. This was just spectacular. Dre is a master of his craft. And just think, less than a year ago he was close to death. Man, he’s back like he never left, stronger than ever 👑💪👏👏👏♥️
In the middle of Gen X and Gen Z, us Millenials enjoyed it too. Probably as much as Gen X
Dre and them like in late 40s, 50s.
@@jeter274 No doubt!! That’s just who was in my house 😂
Anyone notice towards the end, the dancers were doing a SYNCHRONIZED CRYP WALK?! Haha. Dre smiling thru the WHOLE thing. You could feel the energy. You could feel the energy actually with every single one of them.
They were ALL powerhouses in their own realm. Nobody outshined anybody. And that’s uncommon. I feel so bad for who has to top this halftime show next year😂 artists are gonna be like NAH✋🏽 I’ll pass lmao.

50 cent is a full dollar now..nah that's a country strong bod. Whole thing was so entertaining.
I dont get the whole outrage about em kneeling. It looks more like a bow than a statement.
All that disrespecting our Anthem bullshit kind of went out the window huh. The people calling everyone snowflakes the last several years have been self-projecting.
A bow is a statement, though. And Eminem referenced Kaepernick and his kneefall all over his tracks, so I'd say it's definitely more than 'just' paying his respect to hiphop. I'm certain it IS, since he owes ... well, practically his life to hiphop and Dr Dre specifically, so that's one reason to kneel and pay respect.
Then of course paying his respects to Tupac
And also the whole signature-move against police-brutality and racism, which he's always and very clearly been supporting.
It's a pick-and-choose. Everyone can take what they want from that knee. I, personally, take it as all the above.
Didn't watch it live but now that I've seen it didn't miss much
The NFL did know that Eminem was planning on kneeling, they've tried to say that they were fine with it, but there were several things that the NFL didn't approve of that were done. The league tried to implement restrictions on the performers, but the artists were not being paid by the NFL, the NFL was not producing nor paying for the production of the halftime show, so they were ignored. Dre and Jay-Z funded and produced the show.
