Really surprising since Japan isn't the most accepting of anyone being "outside the norm" and stuff, with tons of love hotels and everything banning same-sex couples. Thankfully that's slowly starting to change, but man, big ups to the mom for being fairly open about it! As a bi guy, huge respect!
@Andras0 Hate to burst your bubble but it's fairly clear from the clip that Ao is talking about one sided crushes essentially, not actual relationships. Many countries including Japan have different standards for what counts as a romantic relationship for men and women and for women especially many kinds of acts that would be seen as basically romantic in the US are just normal 'girl things', including being the target of affection
