When I was bronze. Like literally first time overwatch player, total noob, I was in 1v1 widowmaker headshot war and someone tried to use your tip to time it and crouch which was great! but I was utter crap at the time so when they crouch I managed to get a head shot bc what I was aiming for was a body shot. I still think about that time bc now that im plat and I crouch, I always think back to my first noob fight as widow lol.

I understand you guys that you try to give us viewers the best content and I really appreciate it sometimes, but these facts are basics that dont help at any way! Sorry for that critic but im trying to help. I understand you guys live by gaining clicks, but I mean show us where to position ourselves as widow. On specific maps for example

Remember that widowmaker isn't exactly a complicated hero, so the "basics" is pretty much everything about how to play the hero. The rest is mechanical.

If you got nothing out of this: Don’t even try playing Widow

Dude I always use my Venom Mine when using Widow, it really works on close range combat. I remember cheering whenever I defeat at a Genji because of the mine
Me playing widow = 1 magazine 1 kill 😂 but still this helps me play her a bit better.
So, that sensitivity trick is genius! Improved my game SO MUCH! As well as the veno-mine technique. Peace of mind is an amazing thing.
what in game sense and dpi do you use?
ur missing a point with first tip. When u are above they can move in any direction, meaning its more unpredictable where they are moving, but when you are on same level, they can only move left, right, and jump, making all of them easy headshots
But like I need them basic basic tutorials my aim literally lands an inch away from their heads
exactly my problem. I'm recently new to playing widow so I'm just trying to land body shots but those miss like 2mm away from them
to me these are all common sense and I apply all of these... I just suck at aiming hahaha
Carpe is actually jumping a lot while fighting widows, that's not a good thing. If u ever played some widow only hs u know what I mean by that. It makes u very predictable. The best movements during widow 1v1 are A-D D-A while crouching a lot. I think playing widow only hs is the best way of practicing your aim.
Widow hs is good for mirror matchup practice. But real flicking practice needs to be done on more character models
Thing to note with this Carpe coverage is it's just a standard ladder game for him, not really super crazy teamwork. You'd find a Widow in a stack of some sort (or in a scrim) wouldn't be *as* hyper aggressive and would have the team playing around them more (on maps like Gibraltar etc)

the biggest take away for me is the jumping like a rabbit. I do that a lot and now know that's how many widows can land great shots by prediction. I don't play widow but now I know a few tactics that help me against them
whooooa dude i literally adjusted my sensitivity for Widow (and all my other scoped heroes) to 35....i was super close to what those other guys had
Guys idk if this is just me try it out for urself, but today i for some rsn started putting three fingers on my mouse with my index on left click, middle on scroll and ring on right click. And for some rsn my aim is godly now i climbed up from gold to diamond in one day doin this no cap.
I like the video, and I’ll definitely use a lot of these tips. Just one question, though. Why does Carpe constantly jump when trying to duel an enemy widow if that creates a predictable arch?

Maybe this is going to sounds stupid, but I have to ask, Most widowmaker mains are using Palm grip and they are killing People every time, and then there is me widow main using palm/claw grip (I am hybrid in a way) so the question is that if I am going to use full palm will It make me a better player? (sorry for my english).
It's all personal preference.

Whatever grip you use, keep your wrist straight and lower your sensitivity enough to use your arm and shoulder to aim. Bunch of tricks to prevent carpal tunnel. I think gaming is young so we haven't realized many of the effects of poor technique, but with all the people that use their wrist to pivot, I expect that we will in the next 20 years.

I’m playing on console, so i can’t do a lot of the most accurate aiming. I do have an old Big Fish mouse, i’ll see if it’s better

I feel like this content was half commentary on gameplay and half tips but i still liked it alot
i fucked up my muscle memory from the start and now have the super bad habit of doing a lot of unnecessary movements while aiming. It feels like I have hit my ceiling at 3.7k.

You can controll your charater even in jump animation .Why ? idk . But people not jump like that most of the time .Thay spam movment keys in diferent durection much more often .Hiting a Shot is really easy if someone is locked like you mentioned .But idk against who you playing but mostly ppl are more unpredictable than just jump in one direction and dont move after untill land . May be it works in Bronze idk but not in my games generally .
Should I have my grapple hook sensitivity at zero or what should it be at? Thanks in advance

Is there a difference between 38 and 37.89 relative sens? I played in 38 thinkin that was the 1:1 relative sens, and because pros who play with 1:1 use 38. Should I lower it to 37.89 just in case or it is not worth it?
37.89 is the more accurate one, but 38 is fine as long as you're used to it.

I tried the zoom sense and it was slower for me so i put mine at 70% and it feels 1:1 to me like that

Well, I am on conslole and this is a proven fact: WIDOW IS 2-3 TIMES HARDER ON CONSOLE THAN PC.
If there is a *good* plat widow player on console, on pc he would be master.
LMFAO no, just because they spent 500 hours with sticks doesn't mean that correlates to mouse aim. Maybe gamesense but a plat console widow would be gold. It's not harder on console its just inconvenient

Marcus Antonsen I’ve played both, and I can say that’s false. Even though clicking heads with widow is harder with thumbs instead of a mouse, movement on console Is also way more predictable and is not as difficult to hit. I think game sense does correlate between platforms, so if you’re a GM genji main on console, I think if you practice you can hit GM on pc rather easily. However it does not make you a better widow if you’re a console GM compared to a pc GM, since both have their own disadvantages they have to adapt to. That being, the harder aim on console versus the harder tracking movement on pc.

because hanzo is 100% skill and 0% luck just like Junkrat

@@metalya8933 Geez, no need to be an asshole. I also get more kills on Widow and Ashe when I'm not high ground and they are hitscan. I think it has to do with the way people aim. It's easier to aim on a plain level than from above because you aim mostly left and right. From above you have to account for how close or far from you they are by aiming up or down too.
Its because on the same level as your enemy you only have to move side to side really because if they move back you don't have to move your mouse at all on the horizontal axis, on high ground you have to move in 2 directions and they can move two ways where you have to predict as hanzo, whereas same level they can only move left or right

Honestly the jumping one doesnt really help, half the shots hit after they start falling and the "slow down," where? I think your just really good and it's basically just click heads forehead
You have to lead the target a little even on hitscan heros. Try to aim at the forward leading edge of the target. There is a very slight delay any time a person uses a trigger function. Its the same thing when shooting a real gun. Even though our brain gives the signal to pull the trigger there is a delay between the thought and the actual mechanical release. If you are aiming at the center of a moving target the delay will result in a shot that falls behind the target. Aiming slightly in front of a moving target will prevent this. The faster a target is moving the further ahead you have to aim.
