If you want a ‘hit’ for a UA-cam video, look at a refreshed Camper Van/Motorhome market ‘review’ that you did 6 months ago. The evidence is suggesting a ‘collapse’, not a levelling or increase in the market. Caravan Dealerships and UA-cam caravan channels are talking about it, yet no one is really admitting the truth with Vans. Broadlane, one of UK’s big Dealerships normally always seen as a big stand at NEC show’s, has gone into administration a few days ago, as well as a number of smaller dealerships. This is not an anomaly but will be an increasing trend.
The reality is over supply with demand crash. The crash, due to many factors, though one this leisure industry genre could have, and should have, controlled better, with the Pandemic race for profit, which from camp sites, to vans from manufactures and dealerships to accessories, became over priced, became greedy and destroyed an opportunity of a sensible growth in the market. 2024, will be the start of the rebalance back to far lower numbers in this leisure industry genre, which means less sales. Unfortunately due to pipe-line follow through, it will take till 2025 to see real price drops to match the smaller genre of leisure customers with their demands for value.
