While I gave a thumbs up for the review, I can't understand the investment in these units. Why not invest in a whole house generator and be done with it?
He has a gennie, but it takes fuel, stinks when running, cant be left unattended. The solar is free power, odorless and can be left unattended as it has an app connection.
I was always for gas generators and still am to an extent. What I've learned with solar is I'm truly independent for the service life of the equipment. No hauling or storing gas, no depending on someone for propane and most importantly, no praying my engine starts after sitting idle for so long. I've experienced several week delays at the gas pump after several hurricanes, propane service is always prioritized to farms and businesses. You're whole house generator thinking is for short term problems, solar for us is for longer term problems AND short term. Long story short, I don't care what anyone invests in, just invest in something to protect yourself, your family and your well being.
@@TKCLdont forget about apartment, condos, and people who live in some HOA's places that cant have generators or even the whole house generators! all on all it will sute some and some not!
@@TKCL While I agree that solar "potentially" can help you in a longer term situation (assuming you have enough to carry the loads and charge the batteries in a non-stop mode), traditional whole-house gen-sets that have access to nat gas are almost a no-brainer, and for rural situations, you can always size your propane tank to whatever you feel is needed, and propane doesn't go bad. My primary residence has a whole-house nat gas gen, and our ranch house has a whole house gen that runs on a 1,000 gallon propane tank (propane also runs the majority of the heat appliances there). When I looked at the cost of enough solar and batteries to carry us for a week or two at the ranch, the analysis fell heavily in favor of whole-house gen and a large propane tank.
Finally, split phase 240 volt output. During the Kickstarter Zendure did not even understand the need for split phase. We were even told that they unit would output split phase until some experts looked at the 240 volt plug and detailed how that would not support split phase. Because of this I canceled my order. I have also heard that this unit cannot do continuous 16 amp output. Sorry, but they have "missed the boat" as with the EcoFlow Delta Ultra coming out this unit is a "day late" and not priced competitively
Hydroponic, I was hoping to see if you are still using it. I have started. I use my 2600 watt Anker as my backup power, not large units. 👍 for your channel
This is kind of cool and I’m guessing that you can probably use this on any brand or even multiple brands of 120 V power sources as long as they’re both the same or enough amperage each. At least one runs down first. lol. But I like that it plugs into 120 V outlets instead of something proprietary that you can only use on one device. Something like that might also be helpful to run a welder or something on a job at a house where you’ve only only got 120 V options available, as long as you can, find two separate circuits, might basically just emulating. What would already be in the wall, except taking the power from plugs instead of two internal 120 V sources.
I sent for the Zendure Split Phase Adapter for the Superbase V4600. What arrived is each end instead of 120vdc plugs into the 15 amp outlet the ends have the 120ac 30A Max outlet. What gives.
I know it was only about 350 watts but I wonder if you had removed the existing load would it have changed the results with the AC. 15A isn’t generally enough to get the job done, but I’m still curious.
70 amps? That would be something that's no longer portable. 30 amps is more than capable of running most 240v appliances other than big AC units or a stove. Those already exist.

That's very true Adam.

These gasless generators are cool for short power outages. Really like the adapter to power both legs of the panel. Thanks Andrew
Looking forward to a Delta Pro Ultra review. It looks like the best device out there right now, in terms of size to performance ratio.
Awesome video. That will come in really handy in emergency
Hi, Andrew! Thanks for this video. You have helped a lot of people with this follow up. Sunday’s livestream was fun.
Glad you enjoyed it! We will start those back in another week.
Hi Andrew, enjoyed your review. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Thank you for watching
I am sure lots of people will appreciate this:))
Try putting a soft start unit on your a/c unit which could help with the initial high energy demand at startup
I have soft start

There has been a significant decrease in price recently. I agree split phase is required to promote 240 volts.
thats a fairly nice unit! 👍🏻
It's got a lot of possibilities in one package.
Also looking forward to Eco flow pro ultra review as well ,but I think you are still on vacation
Come on 120k subscribers!!!

Yes I've been growing lettuce 12 at a time in them and then transplanting to our flower beds with our other vegetables.

The key is the unit must have seperarate dedicated 120v outlets. Not all do, some will have 4 outlets on the same phase.
Have you looked into getting a soft start for your ac, that will allow you to use your ac with a generator
I have soft start

Do you have a soft start module for your AC unit? They help with off grid solar setups, might let you use the unit.
Yes I do
Where can I find a Zendure Split Phase Adapter?
Zendure website can't find it.
I contacted them directly and they shipped it to me.
@@TKCL 👌
Great 👍 solar smart generator lithium phosphate battery on UA-cam videos
Andrew you need to look at getting an ICM soft start for the ac. They cut the start amps in half.
he does have one installed on the A/C! had it installed when the unit was put in!👍
Correct, I do have one.
Sorry guess I missed that one.

Possibly, it's that initial surge of the compressor or motor that's so tough to overcome.
@@TKCL Very true.
Curious to how this stacked up to the delta pro.
Very similar to original Delta pro, but better solar input and larger battery.
Oh wow. Thanks. Here i was thinking the delta pro was the top of the line.@@TKCL
They've been the industry standard for a long time. But newer technology has came out and improvement in specs of other units have happened.
It's like buying a headphone dongle for a phone. For $200.
Can it hook up to grid tied system and back feed the system
That's exactly what I am doing. Are you meaning something else?
@@TKCL back feeding. To grid my system is grid tied
Existing. System turn the meter in reverse ?
That's net metering, your going to need specific hardware to accomplish that. These systems are not capable of that.
Need a power unit with around 70amps and 240v split phase
70 amps? That would be something that's no longer portable. 30 amps is more than capable of running most 240v appliances other than big AC units or a stove. Those already exist.
That’s a big unit. Bet it is heavy.
It's definitely a two person lift.
Where can I get the adapter?
It's tough to find, I got it directly from Zendure.
@@TKCL That explains why I’m having trouble finding it. Thanks for the reply.
Your power station makes my jackery look really sad. 😒😒
Hey, anything is better than nothing.
