Again, Mr. Powell advocates for a "living wage"- but he still cannot- or, more likely, won't- define it. Nor will he point out that states are free to set their own minimum wages without any prompting from the Federal government. Why not tell your viewers that, Mr. Powell? He also calls yet again for socialized medicine, never mind the terrible outcomes in those countries that practice it- at least the way Mr. Powell would implement it. Great Britain has among the worst survival rates for cancer in the industrialized world- and Great Britain has socialized medicine. Our friends in Canada are seeing ever more people receive recommendations to be euthanized rather than to receive medical treatment- not to mention that those Canadians who can afford to do so flock to the United States in order to shave weeks and even months off their wait times for treatment. Yes, there are countries in which socialized medicine does work rather well. Scandinavian nations such as Sweden and Norway have excellent healthcare systems and those systems are indeed socialized. So why does it work for them? Well, this is where my reference to "at least the way Mr. Powell would implement it" comes into play. You see, those countries have very, VERY strict immigration systems- unlike what Mr. Powell calls for in the United States with his support of unlimited immigration, legal or not. You see, Mr. Powell, Sweden's socialized healthcare is for SWEDES. Norway's socialized healthcare is nor NORWEGIANS. Those countries do not have open borders and so do not have to extend their systems to cover the needs of millions upon millions of people in those countries illegally.
pretty sure I have seen Tom already do a video on what a livable wage is. You'd have to search his archives. Interestingly Australia ranks high in healthcare outcomes (in fact most the leading countries all offer UHC). USA always ranks at or near the bottom of any list. Personally, with the living wage standard, you also need to factor in all the other benefits other countries have such as longer PAID vacation time, parental/maternity paid leave, less working hours etc.

since they did not give an example, you picked a couple for them. allow me. not sure but i believe a democrat policy is mandating EVs by 2035 or some such thing. not going to happen. fossil fuel is way more plentiful, and more reliable. for industry, homes, and auto. now i think i yes i said i, can assist with EV vehicles get / gain more range. each tire / axle drives an alternator. the only time they charge is when the vehicle is moving. this may not keep the batteries charged, but if the current range is 300 miles, my plan might increase that to 600 miles, and then plug in and charge. i have other methods to charge the batteries while in motion. why not add a solar panel to the top of the car? biden, shutdown the keystone pipeline, trump will reopen it. biden, opened the southern border, undoing trump's remain in mexico policy, not to worry, trump is coming back to close the border. let's talk about H1B, i seriously doubt that anyone paying the cartel for illegal passage into the US fits the requirements. anyone who fits the description of H1B entered the US legally, and is now here on expired papers. yes, H1B people should have easier access to gaining legal status. why not?
Biden never opened the border he just got rid of Trump's horrible remain In Mexico policy. If it's illegal to cross the border than it's not open as a open border literally means you can come and go as you please and not be seen as a criminal
The republicans do not want the H1B holders to have citizen ship. The idea is for a disposable workforce who can be threatened with the loss of a job if they complain. Also the keystone pipeline is oil from Canada which how Trump is s--- talking them will probably will not be reopenning anytime soon.
The estimated amount of oil in the ground that is left will last about 30 years at current global usage and of course that will go up leaving more like 20 years left in reality. The defense department of the United States has deemed oil a national security risk because so much of the oil is in volatile and unstable parts of the world and then add in the oils impact on the environment and the plan is to move forward with green energy that can be produced anywhere as soon as possibe, with the public sector following behind it. This is the reality of our future even if right wing politicans, that shove big oil money in their pockets tell everyone otherwise. We also need to move forward simply because we need to at least stay on an even keel with China who doesn`t play the polical game that green energy is a bad thing, and this is all coming whether right wingers like it or not.
@@webman1956 none of that is something i believe. the earth has been here 13 billion years, though not in the form it is today. the industrial era has only been around about 100 years.
I agree with most of your opinions on this. However, how are we on the other side supposed to support open borders allowing millions of illegals, whom we have to support, into our country ??? While many Americans are struggling, why are we supporting countries involved in endless wars ?? And it was Biden who supports Trans women in women's sports based on " feelings". Remember, prior to the election, polls showed that 70% of voters thought the country was headed in the wrong direction. That's why Harris lost the election.
When have borders ever been open in the last 50 years? How many examples of trans women competing in women's sports can you name? And how many of them are there without really transitioning (taking estrogen, surgeries etc)?
What is the right direction. People who say that are talking about more directions than the one that you are thinking of. Right wing policies fail to deliver the promised results everywhere that they are implementing. Worldwide. The Brits found out with Brexit.
First, the borders are not, and have never been "open". Or can I just throw away my passport now and go back and forth to Mexico as I please? AAMOF it's entirely possible, and probable that the incessant chants of "Open Borders!" ever since Biden took office could have something to do with the increase in illegal crossings. They have fox news in Guatamala too. Secondly, just Google the facts. Immigrants contribute more to the economy than they take. All that Social Security taxes they pay? They can't collect a penny of it. so go ahead, snap your fingers and make every illegal go away and watch what happens to our economy. You'll wish for Biden's inflation.

But see these people's attitude is they don't want to "pay" more to help these people out. It doesn't matter that they are the ones who need this, their mentality is it's not my problem so I don't want to pay for it.
I'm glad that Joe is gone, only because he didn't deliver on the very policies the Democrats were supposed to deliver.
I'll be 2x as mad as I am now when Trump comes back, because Trump will just set progress 2000 steps backwards.

Tell it like it is!
Thank you
What the poster *meant* to say was "I don't mind the Democrat's policies for me! I just don't want them to be for everyone else, especially the people I don't like!!"
They must be rich...
@0:26 As far as I'm aware a minority of Democrats aren't pushing for single payer but I would be really happy to be proven wrong.
My mom was super far right (and still is but I don’t see her anymore) and I was taught by her that Democratic policies were the “pansy-a$$” policies for lazy people who couldn’t work or push through their disabilities and force themselves to work to death to survive. As an adult, I see now that Democratic policies are designed to help people who need help and aren’t just handouts for “lazy people.” I don’t need to mention that I grew up needing to provide for myself. These policies truly are American policies founded on freedom and equality and caring for your fellow Americans and neighbors. It’s terrible how the far right sees that as a threat
The brainwashed will not hear reason
I don't like paying taxes so billionaires don't have to.My taxes are for all Americans
I’m against democrat policies like the one in California where they budgeted 24 billion for the homeless, and homelessness went up and they are trying to figure out where the 24 billion went.
To be fair I don't like America's policies that cover Israel and what it does. And that seems to be something that both the right and left commonly hold.
Facts
Not really, that completely depends on the person
The problem is..
The democratic Party is "center" right (center in relation to the reps) the republican party is far right.
There's no left.
I got more money in my ash tray I my life time with my man Joey
I wish they reply
Tom before you just hate on Trump like you keep doing give him a fair shake. Just take a chill pill.

I kinda new to this channel. Can somebody explain the premise? This dude just reacts to comments that disagree with his opinions?
Figure it out.
lol no. Watch more videos or move on.

Fox Nazi News has fried your brain troll.
Republikkklanazis are sewer sludge.
Working-class citizens in America "seventy seven million of them" have just voted for Nautzees, billionaires, rapists, fascists, convicted-criminals, global warming deniers, insurrectionists, GQP-Anon nut jobs, anti-vaxx nut jobs, anti-science, anti-women, anti-union, serial liars and they really think there will not be any consequences for it, or it is not going to be that bad "they tell me". That is so sad to hear from kkkonservatives. The worst part is our whole conservative media promotes and glorifies said rapists while the whole system in my lifetime has glorified skkkum like all the kkkonservative right-wing Christian kkkonfederates, it is not at all surprising to me where America is today. Billionaires are "The Enemy Within". Radical right-wing is as radical reich-wing does.
@@jax-p2u Going back at least four months, I've asked Mr. Powell to define "living wage" every single time (to my knowledge) he has referenced the term. He steadfastly refuses to do so. I wonder why.....
@@Mustapha1963 Not sure why you can't find it. I've watched it
Slight correction: The democrats are against those first three, too.
Nope.
Suuure cultist
Democrats don't know the definition of a Woman. 😂😂😂😂
And Magats are obsessed with other people's bodies like absolute creepers. There's no definition of a woman and never was, just crap that you guys made up and said was the "way to be a woman"
You really should actually study medicine and biology before you start typing anything on the internet.
Republicans are against the concept of a pronouns, making english teachers weep. 😢
We do, but it might require words of more than two syllables to explain. Stick to boat parades. They're more your speed.
@RadCenter YOU are a biological Democrat or LIBERAL. We now have a new river-THE LIBERAL RIVER OF TEARS 😭 and the Liberals have been inducted into the world of Electric Cars.
since they did not give an example, you picked a couple for them.
allow me. not sure but i believe a democrat policy is mandating EVs by 2035 or some such thing.
not going to happen. fossil fuel is way more plentiful, and more reliable. for industry, homes, and auto.
now i think i yes i said i, can assist with EV vehicles get / gain more range. each tire / axle drives an alternator.
the only time they charge is when the vehicle is moving. this may not keep the batteries charged,
but if the current range is 300 miles, my plan might increase that to 600 miles, and then plug in and charge.
i have other methods to charge the batteries while in motion. why not add a solar panel to the top of the car?
biden, shutdown the keystone pipeline, trump will reopen it.
biden, opened the southern border, undoing trump's remain in mexico policy, not to worry, trump is coming back to close the border.
let's talk about H1B, i seriously doubt that anyone paying the cartel for illegal passage into the US fits the requirements.
anyone who fits the description of H1B entered the US legally, and is now here on expired papers.
yes, H1B people should have easier access to gaining legal status.
@@Ironhorse360DEG Then sit back and watch.
The border is not wide open.
Over 80% felt the same way in 2020 when Trump was last in office. The polls don't ask why people feel the country is going in the wrong direction. Many of that 70% could be blaming republicans.
Exactly!
No we just went broke trying to live under the democrat caused hyper inflation
