I love seeing you guys, especially in these up and close situations because y’all are so cool. If you’re going to start recording more covers in the studio, I’d like to hear Cumberland Blues, Who Walks In, With Body and Soul, or You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive. Or maybe even 40 Years of Trouble! 😆
New fan and subscriber from New Zealand: I only recently discovered you guys, but so far I like almost everything I've heard. I say "almost" because the old-time classic country stuff you do sometimes really turns me (and probably lots of other non-Americans) off. Also, the super-fast frantic bluegrass played by countless backyard bluegrass groups is impressive, but not that pleasant to listen to. But you've managed to develop a really cool chilled-out bluegrass/folk style which sets you apart from the myriad old-style country and bluegrass groups, so I reckon you should just carry on and do a deep dive into your own unique style.
Been listening to AJ LEE here in nz for many years. She has got a video on yt of her and the band in the north island teaching and playing . in an old country hall.
AJ Lee, please do Hey Joe! Your version of "If It Hadn't Been for Love" is my favourite: your sweet voice contrasted with the rough lyrics plus your fine musicianship make it an absolute stunner. And I really like the fact that you didn't change the genders in the original song. That takes guts and maturity, and it adds a layer, especially in the current climate. Please do Hey Jo!
This is great 👍, more please!
