I feel like this church needs to distinguish between building entrepreneurs and building faith within the people that go here. Getting drug dealers and young people in gangs to change their ways should be applauded but the gospel is really not what they are selling to these young people in my opinion, they're selling a lifestyle. So what I feel needs to be done is have spac nation church and have a spac nation organisation. One of which helps people come to Christ and then the other can be a separate organisation that helps people who have taken a wrong turn in life become entrepreneurs. London actually is one of the safest and best places for black people to live. However, no matter where you live in the world, if there are areas or pockets of society where people are living in relative poverty, this usually then leads onto things like desperation, depression, single parent families, perceived lack of opportunities, hopelessness etc. Then sooner or later these areas will become a hotbed for crime. You can’t say a lot of people have the opportunity when there are ALOT of people who are living in council flats because they have no where to go - and sadly that’s where you see alot of the crime. If you live in a poor area chances of u turning to crime are more likely than someone in a middle class / rich area because that’s what you are more likely to see. Most of these people committing crimes are doing it because they’re broke. And when it comes to young black men it’s a disproportionate percentage of them who are targeted by police and also suffer institutional racism in the UK - so when there are no opportunity for those percentage of people what do you think they’re going to do? I’m not condoning any of it cos it’s DEFINITELY not only young black men but when you differentiate the opportunities they have compared to others - It’s not always a choice & it’s been like this for decades so couldn’t the government have helped them by now?

Wow I didn’t know London was a mini Chicago... I always held London as one the best safe place for black people in the disapora.
London actually is one of the safest and best places for black people to live. However, no matter where you live in the world, if there are areas or pockets of society where people are living in relative poverty, this usually then leads onto things like desperation, depression, single parent families, perceived lack of opportunities, hopelessness etc. Then sooner or later these areas will become a hotbed for crime. And unfortunately here in London it is usually black people who live in these types of areas hence the high crime rate.
It is safe for them, they just take the piss and create illusionary hardships and ghettos for themselves and then it becomes real and spirals out of control, they create these hellholes themselves

Many people are saying SPAC is not a church, but it is a church - people go there to praise god and seek redemption. All the other stuff they’re doing to help gang members leave the gang life is a separate ordeal, but they are using religion as a guide. The pastor is making a statement that you can get the lifestyle you want by taking a different and better approach. These boy are obviously in this life because of the money and power, so why not divert that interest into something more positive and productive? The whole point is that it is working, could not care less what they call themselves. Only God can tell. I just want the violent crime outbreak in London to stop.
Respect that comment. NGL though, I myself am 50/50 on my views about Spac Nation. On the one hand what they're doing is mad positive as in they are giving gang members and those from troubled backgrounds an alternative route in life by giving them the opportunity to put their energy into the church and God and at the same provide them with legitimate business skills that can help secure their future.
