Zoom MRS-1608 Multi Track Recorder

Physically, this is the largest of Zoom's series of multi-trackers, and the most advanced of the 00 decade. And it's still pretty good, not so much for its specs (which still hold up quite well) but more for its ease of use and good sense of fun.

Was using mine only yesterday and my studio is built around it. Does what it claims without glitches and never stops for three hours to update its operating system. Fabulous machine. Owned from new.

Yes it’s hard to ignore the rock-solidness of dedicated multi track recorders.

Hello gearfacts , I remember years ago you bought a pedal from japan, do you remember which shop does international shipping?

Yeah there are several Japanese shops that will ship cheaply or free, you just go to eBay and search for the pedal you want, then choose “worldwide” for your search. Scroll down and you’ll find one. “Samuraimart-auction” is a good example.

I have an old Zoom digital 4 track recorder that that uses an sd card . The problem is the format it uses on the tracks is proprietary and is not recognized by my Windows laptop or my Chromebook . So it sits collecting dust .

Is that the MRS-4? I run the output of mine into a £15 audio-to-USB interface and straight to Audacity. Still find it better and easier to use for recording than proprietary interfaces.
