- Taitem's Senior Energy Analyst Evan Hallas shares a product overview of the Epocha Heat Pump Air Conditioner (HPAC) with no outdoor unit.
*PLEASE NOTE that this is an older version of the Ephoca unit (DE92HDSO). The concepts are the same, but there have been some slight made modifications to improve cold-weather performance.
Can the wall penetrations be guided to different place if no direct access to outside wall, for example apartments that have a balcony?
Any cold surfaces on the indoor unit's outdoor plenum components in the winter? No surface condensation? The outdoor plenum is pretty well air tight and insulated?
Good questions!
im looking for something like this for a garage in South FL? any recommendations
How do they compare to regular PTAC units?
does it have a reversing valve to defrost itself?
Where can these be bought?
What is the capacity and cost of these units??
how is water drain connected?
Send to ountside or if doing new hause u can do the custom drains
This thing SUCKS. Just popped right next to me.
What ?
These units suck
Hi Kiko - I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on these heat pump units. Can you share your experience? Thanks.
They suck and blow at the same time
I agree. The AC is ok, but the heater suck and it's noisy.
@phositadc I don't owe it but I actually have that unit in my apartment I'm renting. Like I said, the ac is ok, it cools the apartment down and I can sleep while running it. When I was running the heater in winter I couldn't sleep due to the noise it was making and it was blowing Luke warm air. Don't know why it would be noisier. I measureed it and the ac is making around 45 dB of noise while heater around 68 dB of noise. It's weird.
@@tomekbk1 Heating is always noisier at the outdoor part of the AC, I think. And in this type of units, the outdoors part is also indoors...
