Man, seeing that Agumon figure at the beginning just hit me with nostalgia. I remember buying a lot of the old Digimon toys when I was younger. I had the Agumon figure to complete my Greymon to MetalGreymon digivolving figure. I also had the old MetalGarurumon digivolving figure and some Tamers toys, which didn't last long due to poor quality builts. But getting back on topic. I always liked BlackWarGreymon as a character. A lot of people even in real life struggle with trying to figure out who or what they are and if they have a purpose in life. I always loved that scene where he and Tai's Agumon had a good conversation about what it means to be alive or what it means to have a heart or a soul. Agumon may not be the brightest of the bunch, but his heart was always in the right place. I also think Agumon could tell that BlackWarGreymon wasn't really evil, since BlackWarGreymon really didn't have any intention in killing Agumon or fighting him when they first met.
just ordered it from Amazon not build model before but willing to try for this, big fan of the Orginal Anime Plus dark/evil versions of Icon digmons always a fan off. got SoundWave and MewTwo may as well get this.
Another way the anime could've differentiated Black from the OG is if they'd taken a page from the Dragonball playbook and had him slingin' his Dark Gaia Force/Terra Destroyer (that sounds so much cooler than Gaia Force, Terra Force, & Dark Gaia Force) with just one hand à la Krillin's Destructo Disk. Would've made for some sick aerial poses, especially if they would've included it attack itself. The silvery flecks in the armor parts does show up a bit differently onscreen; the light definitely shines on'em as if they were glossy, while the matte parts don't catch as well. Definitely a cool touch.
