for one thing, krillin wasn't as strong as blue. Super saiyan blue has master level Ki control. allowing goku to nerf himself massively to Krillins level.
It was in a fanfiction but the idea is plausible, but Zenkai boost take a while to build up. Constantly getting yourself injured and healing results in diminished returns, where as training between near fatal injuries gives a larger boost. It would explain why Goku had a larger gain compared to Vegeta who went to Namek instantly and was stuck fighting repeatedly compared to Goku who spent 6 days in 100 times normal gravity training.
I think Vegeta and Goku getting punctured is more of a "mentality/awareness type guard." For example, if Vegeta was in a serious fight with Goku and Krillin snuck up behind and hit him with the same type of powerful blast he used this episode, im sure it would only zap Vegeta and stun him for a few moments. So i guess in a way the can 'lower' their guard the same way they do their energy? :)

Piccolo at the time of the saiyan saga had an average level of ~2000 so times 60 is 120000. His merger with nail was supposed to multiply him by atleast tenfold. So 1.25 million.
I know I'm late but piccolo did experience a difference in the original episode, since he weighs somewhere around 80-100 kilos then with the training gear it would make that 180-200 kilos and would half his normal speed, therefore without the gear he would be at double speed and power.

Okay, no - it doesn't make sense, and here's why (its a copy and paste off of another post, so it may get a little off topic, but whatever). There's a fan theory going around that zenkais work to get you to either a) stronger than the person who inflicted damage to you, or b) increasing your strength towards the level of power you want to reach/surpass, sometimes both. Of course, zenkais have limits - if Vegeta came back from the brink of death when Frieza and Cold were about to arrive on Earth, he wouldn't have surpassed their strength. But, you can see this is fairly consistent throughout the series: - Vegeta goes to 24,000 after being overpowered by Kk3 Goku (the Kkx4 Kamehameha really didn't last very long). - Vegeta surpasses Zarbon. - Goku, at a mere two fold his base power, goes to 180,000, same as Great Ape Vegeta, his full power with the Kaioken is much higher. Now, of course, there are some "exceptions" to the rule, but we can explain them. First of all, Vegeta - after being beaten down by Recoome, he didn't just increase to his level, he grew to match Frieza's first form (530,000). However, the explanation goes to say that Vegeta went to Frieza's level because that was his next goal - he didn't need to defeat the Ginyu Force, Goku had already surpassed them by a wide margin. Now you may ask - "Wasn't Frieza his goal all along?" - well, asides from zenkais depending on how injured a saiyan is, how quickly they recover, the difference between his strength and his potential, how many times he has received a zenkai recently, and how close they are to a power plateau, Vegeta needed to surpass his goons first. He had to surpass them, and then Frieza, nobody else (to his knowledge, he didn't know of Nail's power - not that he'd help Vegeta, but the Z-Fighters) could even challenge somebody like Cui, let alone Dodoria, Zarbon and the Ginyu Force. He had to learn to walk, before he could run. Now, as for his the Krillin-induced zenkai, he didn't know of Frieza's true strength - and if we use the canon and commonly accepted power levels and make a few assumptions (Frieza's third form is +530,000 from his second), he get the following: Frieza (Form I): 530,000 Frieza (Form II): 1,060,000 Frieza (Form III): 1,590,000 This leaves plenty of room for Vegeta to be stronger than Frieza's third form, what he thought his final form would be like, but still be less than Goku's base power level of 3,000,000 (we'll get to that later). This makes sense, because if Vegeta assumed that Frieza's final form would give the same boost (+530,000), he would almost certainly be stronger. Vegeta was dominating Dodoria when it was 24,000 vs. 22,000, so we know it only takes a 10% difference in power level to make it an extremely one sided fight.* So Vegeta was likely 2,400,000, as he was certain he was going to completely dominate Frieza. *10% difference in power level: Hits 10% harder Lands hits 10% more often (speed) Avoids blows 10% more often (speed Enemy's attacks hurt 10% less Net advantage = 46.41% more damage over the same amount of time Now, why did Goku make a bigger jump in power level? While, aside from the aforementioned factors, he actually sensed Frieza's power, so his body healed and adapted to match (or surpass) whatever percentage of power Frieza was using at the time. Of course, Goku could not be a mere 300,000, that would make his base weaker than Frieza's first form, yet everyone knew he was vastly superior to Vegeta in base, it doesn't make sense that he'd need a x8 Kaioken to match Vegeta. However, Frieza was only using a tiny portion of his power at that point (not 1%, that would make him weaker than his third form, which doesn't make sense, plus that was filler, aka anime only). In the manga, he says "only a tiny fraction", which would make sense for anything from 2-3% up to 10-20%. Anyway, when Goku used a Kaioken x20 Kamehameha, Frieza was able to block it with a single hand, at 50% of his full power. This would him his half power at 60,000,000 and his maximum at 120,000,000. The 12,000,000 line was a mistranslation, and simply put, doesn't make any sense.

Actually frieza's final form at 100% is 120,000,000.
+cicco132 I don't know if it's a plot hole, but in the dub of Resurrection F, he said that if he trained in earnest, he could reach a power level of 1.3 million as if it was a big accomplishment. Obviously, he becomes much more powerful than that, but it seems to imply that his power increase between his second and final forms was less than 0.3 million.
+BloodPrince130 Toriyama isnt really consistent and has to be reminded things constantly; actually having forgotten he made a SS2 around the time he made 3 and was gonna call 3 a SS2, as well as when battle of gods was made he forgot 18's color scheme and was gonna make her all purple from hair to clothes.

Also i believe the VA for japanese freeza jokingly said since freeza is a 'nice guy' it was 1 trillion or something; but only said that because the number when said aloud sounded like 'nice-uh-guy' as a joke.

Powerlevels literally mean absolutely nothing and Toriyama stated this himself. the only time they might have had purpose was saiyan saga.
+BloodPrince130 frieza's only form to have a canon power level was 530,000 in his first, and roughly over a million in his second, there isn't a single canon number for anyone or anything past that. Thats why over a million in his small form is a big deal, the daizenshuu that people quote for power levels of frieza's final is non-canon and written by the anime people, toriyama had no part in it. same thing when people talk about super saiyan multipliers
Okay, no - it doesn't make sense, and here's why (its a copy and paste off of another post, so it may get a little off topic, but whatever).
There's a fan theory going around that zenkais work to get you to either a) stronger than the person who inflicted damage to you, or b) increasing your strength towards the level of power you want to reach/surpass, sometimes both.
Of course, zenkais have limits - if Vegeta came back from the brink of death when Frieza and Cold were about to arrive on Earth, he wouldn't have surpassed their strength.
But, you can see this is fairly consistent throughout the series:
- Vegeta goes to 24,000 after being overpowered by Kk3 Goku (the Kkx4 Kamehameha really didn't last very long).
- Vegeta surpasses Zarbon.
- Goku, at a mere two fold his base power, goes to 180,000, same as Great Ape Vegeta, his full power with the Kaioken is much higher.
Now, of course, there are some "exceptions" to the rule, but we can explain them.
First of all, Vegeta - after being beaten down by Recoome, he didn't just increase to his level, he grew to match Frieza's first form (530,000). However, the explanation goes to say that Vegeta went to Frieza's level because that was his next goal - he didn't need to defeat the Ginyu Force, Goku had already surpassed them by a wide margin.
Now you may ask - "Wasn't Frieza his goal all along?" - well, asides from zenkais depending on how injured a saiyan is, how quickly they recover, the difference between his strength and his potential, how many times he has received a zenkai recently, and how close they are to a power plateau, Vegeta needed to surpass his goons first. He had to surpass them, and then Frieza, nobody else (to his knowledge, he didn't know of Nail's power - not that he'd help Vegeta, but the Z-Fighters) could even challenge somebody like Cui, let alone Dodoria, Zarbon and the Ginyu Force.
He had to learn to walk, before he could run.
Now, as for his the Krillin-induced zenkai, he didn't know of Frieza's true strength - and if we use the canon and commonly accepted power levels and make a few assumptions (Frieza's third form is +530,000 from his second), he get the following:
Frieza (Form I): 530,000
Frieza (Form II): 1,060,000
Frieza (Form III): 1,590,000
This leaves plenty of room for Vegeta to be stronger than Frieza's third form, what he thought his final form would be like, but still be less than Goku's base power level of 3,000,000 (we'll get to that later).
This makes sense, because if Vegeta assumed that Frieza's final form would give the same boost (+530,000), he would almost certainly be stronger. Vegeta was dominating Dodoria when it was 24,000 vs. 22,000, so we know it only takes a 10% difference in power level to make it an extremely one sided fight.*
So Vegeta was likely 2,400,000, as he was certain he was going to completely dominate Frieza.
*10% difference in power level:
Hits 10% harder
Lands hits 10% more often (speed)
Avoids blows 10% more often (speed
Enemy's attacks hurt 10% less
Net advantage = 46.41% more damage over the same amount of time
Now, why did Goku make a bigger jump in power level? While, aside from the aforementioned factors, he actually sensed Frieza's power, so his body healed and adapted to match (or surpass) whatever percentage of power Frieza was using at the time.
Of course, Goku could not be a mere 300,000, that would make his base weaker than Frieza's first form, yet everyone knew he was vastly superior to Vegeta in base, it doesn't make sense that he'd need a x8 Kaioken to match Vegeta.
However, Frieza was only using a tiny portion of his power at that point (not 1%, that would make him weaker than his third form, which doesn't make sense, plus that was filler, aka anime only). In the manga, he says "only a tiny fraction", which would make sense for anything from 2-3% up to 10-20%.
Anyway, when Goku used a Kaioken x20 Kamehameha, Frieza was able to block it with a single hand, at 50% of his full power. This would him his half power at 60,000,000 and his maximum at 120,000,000.
The 12,000,000 line was a mistranslation, and simply put, doesn't make any sense.
