I live in Germany and back in 1989 my dad was on a business trip to the US and brought me a Randall Cunningham jersey as a present. So you are the reason I became an Eagles fan. Thank you :-)
I became an Eagle fan during the McNabb Era but watching these clips of Randall Cunningham just make me love my team even more. Fly Eagles Fly!!!!!! 🦅🦅
@@firingallcylinders2949I'd even argue Wentz in his 2017 year was some fun football to watch. That was when his hero ball worked....then the league figured him out. Still got nothing on the QBs you mentioned, but in terms of sheer entertainment value, that one season for QB play should be noted.
This put such a smile on my face! I wanted Randall on that McNabb, Vick, Hurts roundtable last season and the Kelly Green drop feels like a love letter to his era!
Seeing what a genuinely great dude Randall is, that’s my favorite play! Grew up watching him and now in my 40’s it’s fulfilling to see a role model actually be the man you thought they were. Listening to him talk about his teammates shows how unselfish he was and how much he cared about people. Thanks Randall for ALL of the memories, new and old!
Loved how most of his highlights ended with him saying "I glad they caught the ball, because otherwise we wouldn't be talking about this play. He was just past my time so I never got to watch him play but i'm so happy that he a QB for the Eagles!
And as a #5 fan on the field I lost respect for him off. Can you see 5 giving that kind of credit to his receivers? Randall was so humble, what a good dude.
@sarvantes1 I loved 5 but as a skill position guy my whole football life I loved & admired T.O from afar so when I heard he was coming it was like a dream come true for a 9 year old boy the way 5 ruined that connection & Superbowl changed my view on him, hell of a player but T.O is top 3 All-Time at his position.
I been an Eagle's fan since I was 10 years old and Randall Cunningham was my hero as well to me the baddest man on the planet, I'm 66 now and still an Eagles fan forever; we're in good hands with Jalen Hurts a true unselfish pure leader with attributes like Randell, so great for them to meet, and have their jersey swopp, truly awesome 👍 Birds Forever......
This man is the reason I LOVE football. 9 year old DelCo kid his rookie year, watching the way he moved, escaped, and would just launch that ball (or kick) filled my childhood heart with joy.
My Aunt was at that Giants game when Randall punted. Up until that game, the Giants were saying they were unbeatable that year. My Aunt said the stadium was literally shaking. Eagles fans are amazing !
Randall was a pure winner, strong arm smart, athletic, fast and great ahead of his time. Well respected around the NFL. ... Not winning a Superbowl didn't make him a looser; ask Dan Marino, Dick Butkus and many more greats that never got a chip , they were well respected by their peers and that's what matters the most
@@Jayfromphilly10All of the Eagles fans were. Seemed like a bad omen with this being the first season without Buddy Ryan, not sure how Rich Kotex would be and first game of the season Cunningham goes down.
What a trip down memory lane. It's great seeing Randall comment on the plays. Also confirmed what we all knew -- Buddy just asked him to make something happen, and he did. Imagine what he would be in today's NFL...
My all-time favorite player. Never been a more exciting player in my opinion. Vick came close, but Randall ran like a gazelle and had a canon for an arm. He would dominate today’s NFL. Rich Kotite ruined our shot at a Super Bowl by forcing him to stay in the pocket where he got injured in the first qtr of first game the year we had the most dominant D and great offense w Randall at the helm. He revolutionized the QB position. Still mad at Gary Anderson for missing that FG that would have gotten Randall and the Vikings into the Super Bowl where Randall would have led them to a SB victory. Thank you for the memories Randall!!!
Randall is a Hall of famer period. Didn't watch him, play but i always admire him, cause was the pioneer of the new era of the athletic running QBs,an absolutely Legend!
I had the privelege to play against Randall in high school in1980. I played for Santa Maria Saints and Randall was the QB for the Santa Barbara Dons. He was special, I remember telling a teammate on the sidelines that guy is going pro.
Definitely one of the most exciting players I've ever watched play football. Every play had the chance to be 1 in a million. And man you cashed in on alot of em!
Great video! Randall YOU are the reason my blood has bled green since 1985! Those were some great memories you put together...Thank you for ALL you've done for football!
I was a little too young to remember your best moments Randall, but damn you were an absolute dog. I grew up in the McNabb era, but my family put me on to you, and gosh dang, you were electric. RIP to Jerome, Reggie and a couple others. Wish we still had that gang green D.
Randall Cunningham , you were my favorite quarterback to watch. Watching you propel yourself through the air over the entire defense to score. It was crazy fun.
Love this video of the Legendary Randall Cunningham. My all time favorite Eagles player. I loved watching him during the 1990s Eagles teams. You never knew what he was going to do next. It's great to see him enjoying Highlights of his Eagles career. Wish this video was longer. I could listen to this man talk all day. He belongs in The Hof . Fly Eagles Fly. 2024 season is off to a great start yall. 10 - 1 .
Love you, Randall, I enjoyed every minute of watching you play. If only that knee didn’t get messed up in Philly. But it looks like you’re enjoying life which is what it’s really all about
Randle was electric! I loved all those plays. The only one missing is when he was playing the New York Giants. He was running down the field, and he pointed to Pepper Johnson and Keith Byars came out of nowhere and blasted the best man at his wedding. It's a shame we never went past the second round with that talent.
What a wonderful video trip down memory lane with Randall "the Ultimate Weapon" Cunningham, all of those entertaining moments, pure joy bringing a smile to my face. Thanks for everything Randall, you are 100% Eagles royalty.
Thank you Randall for the BEST years in EAGLE'S history... TILL now.... YOU must LOVE seeing what we have now.... could you see you having these weapons and offensive line.... GOOD NIGHT
Randall... I went to my first game at Franklin Field in 1969. I grew up in Wilmington, which is a stone's throw from Philly. My family never missed a game on the local Philadelphia channel. (we only had three!) Anyway, I went to college in Philly and when I grew up and I saw you on the field for the first time I knew you were some new and special. ✨ You invented the RPO and "scrambling until you find someone open" play. You will always be my favorite Eagles QB. 🦅 I had my share of struggles back then and it was always reassuring to watch someone overcome adversity every Sunday!🦅 -Best
Long time Eagles fan. I was a fan before the Randall era as a kid, and I am still a big time fan. I hardly ever miss a play. And with all the players, the Superbowl team, and the current team, Randall remains my favorite player followed by BG. Thanks for the sheer joy you brought with your style of play, Randall. #12
That game in ‘90 vs. the Patriots was my first ever Eagles game. Had obstructed view seats with my dad, watched Randall on that long TD run go right by me. He’s the reason I love the Birds and far and away my all time favorite player. Fly Eagles Fly!!!
This was the era I first starting watching NFL in Australia and Randall was just amazing to watch. I had his poster on my wall and he is the reason I became an Eagles fan for life.
Oh wow, thank you. The reason I am an Eagles fanatic here on the other side of the world. That touch down against the Bills just might be the greatest play of all time and what I wonderful man to boot!
As a Redskins fan since birth, there was something about Cunningham I couldn't dislike. The man was a BEAST and the absolute 1st true Dual Threat QB. I know Staubach and Tarkenton but Cunningham could do it all man. Awesome QB
Randall Cunningham is the one player that made me a forever full time Eagles Fan . We Miss you RC. He was way ahead of his time, I wish he was playing now.
My favorite was the td pass to arkansas fred in new orleans in the playoff game in ‘92. We went on 29-0 run to come back and win 36-20. And how many out there had a I’ll be back scrambling hat!!!
I watched all these plays while they were originally happening, lol..... Seth Joyner and Byron Evans one of the best linebacker duo's ever, not to mention Reggie White Clyde Simmons and co.... one of the best defensive squads that never won a SuperBowl but they were fun to watch
I remember very vividly the Carl Banks Monday night game. That was all Sports Center talked about that week. It was the play that put Randell on the national stage.
I remember the week of the Fog Bowl in CHI I had had delivered a brand new 27" Sony Trinitron console TV to watch Randall and the birds play. When the fog rolled in, I was watching on my 13" black and white TV with a wire coat hanger antenna because the picture was clearer! Love you Randall! TY
I just wish Reggie, Jerome, Wes and Andre were around alongside Randall to see the Kelly Greens back and to be a part of it. They were wonderful, funny and vivid individuals to be around with.
My all time favorite Eagle. As a kid growing up in the Virgin Islands, Randall led me to becoming an Eagles fan.
He really could have been one of the all time greats ! It’s too bad he didn’t win the Super Bowl on the 98 Vikings team.
Randall led me to become an Eagles fan as well. All the way from Oklahoma.
He is my favorite all-time Eagle as well, the main reason I am an Eagles fan till this day. I was born and raised in AZ!
