    Well you can't say that everyone has a spending problem because I work two jobs and I bought a savings challenge book and it helped me save up to $10,000.00 which is the amount most black people don't even save. Now at 38 years old I live with my mom, which means I don't have real bills like most people. Now you say people have a spending problem I don't blame the people In blame the banks because I had $300 in my checking account and $10,000.00 in my savings account with the interest rate of 0.85% then they dropped the interest rate from 0.85% to 0.60% without even letting me know, so I said to myself how is it that I have a spending problem when I have $300 in my checking account and $10,000 in my savings account. It's not the people it's the banks because the rate of inflation is 3.30% but inflation rate can rise all the way to 9.00% . Do you understand what I am saying? If I have $10,000 in a savings account with an interest rate of 0.60% and inflation rate is 3.30% after a year inflation will eat up my savings. So I found a bank in Florida offering a CD promotion for 5.60% for 21 months because it doesn't make any sense to have $10,000 in a savings account that only offers 0.60% . So what I did was slit it in half $5,000 in a CD account interest rate of 5.60% and $2,000.00 in a money market account for interest rate of 5.00% and the rest in a checking account with an interest rate of 0.75% . I see it like this if you keep all that money in a savings account but you are earning no interest than you better off spending that money. You might as well spend it. And that's why people have a spending problem because of the banks.

    • @danteprice1874
      @danteprice1874 4 місяці тому +2

      Exactly you better off keeping ten bands rubberbanded up ina sentry safe over leaving it in a bank or credit union . If the interest rate isnt gaining you dollars on interest it makes no sense .. 1% of 10 grand is 100$ … something for folks to think about. I wholeheartedly agree with you sir

    • @M1999-v4v
      @M1999-v4v 4 місяці тому

      @@danteprice1874 Okay, because those big banks like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Chase Bank offer 0.01% and 0.02% interest on a savings account, but these small unknown banks offer a little higher than these big banks it offers 0.60% and 2.25% interest rate on a savings account. Certificates of deposit accounts are good because I opened a CD at my local small bank interest rate of 5.60% for 21 months, which means I earn $5.00 every month until it matures with the $5,000 I deposit into that CD and the other $5,000 into a money market account with an interest rate of 5.00% . I know some people have $2,000 in a savings account with an interest rate of 0.01% and inflation rate be 6.00% it eats up your savings and that's what I was trying to tell this lady who was blaming people she was saying that people don't have a money problem they have a spending problem and this is what Anton is saying too but it's not us it's the banks because banks don't want savers they want spenders that's why the interest rates on the savings are so low because they are not looking for savers they are looking for spenders so we can go into debt and this is why a lot of us poor people are in debt now and I am glad you see that don't leave all your money in a savings account that's only offering 0.02% interest rate look for a cd account that's offering at least 5.00% . You work hard for your money most of us are working two jobs, so let your money work for you too. Put your money to work and give your money a job.
