Hey there! I hope you enjoyed this video because it is one of my favourite videos I've made thus far. If you're interested in the best screen protector, check out: paperlike.com/emily1
Hello, sorry to ask this. But how on earth do you make your handwriting so neat? It’s so clean and precise, did you just practice a lot and if so, have you got some tips on improving?
I use the iPad Pro same as you, and I am currently studying As-level biology, and I come across all these fantastic “notes” and mine just look well terrible.
So, please tell me your secret, you probably won’t reply, but still amazing videos and you have a new subscriber thanks 😊
@@oliverwrench9109 hi oliver! I do reply to many comments! i have a video about how I take pretty iPad notes, so check that out if you're interested!
What app did you use
@@emilystudying thanks I will check it out
Thats not handwriting, that's a whole font.
Nah that’s her real handwriting
If there’s one thing. I’ve learnt, the prettier the notes, poorer the grades. The tool is only as good as the one using it.
That’s not true. Being neat just means you’re an organized note taker. That’s how I was in medical school as well. And I passed all my classes btw
The iPad works amazingly the box came a little dirty, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA no plastic wrap, but the box was sealed and had everything else in the box along with the wrapping, the iPad itself is gorgeous, I got the yellow 64g game storage is good for me along with Socials and school stuff. No scratches or marks came with the charger and box fast speed, and if you are buying a pen get the 1st gen don’t make the mistake I did !!
Changing the writing setting to middle or even low is the best decision I have made. Idk why I didn’t do that earlier this is a total game changer!!
You are like a machine the way you write because it's soooo neat and consistent. Your videos are top notch quality and your narration is also extremely well presented. You are amazing!
I actually prefer Notability to Goodnotes for school notes. It has more settings and the pens are much easier to control. Especially now that they added 2 dotted line pens which are great for diagrams and arrows. Brush Pen is also way more controllable which is good as I use it for titles. I mainly use Goodnotes for journaling or my agenda or for writing stories as I had a hard time controlling the pens on Goodnotes when I had to write out my notes in class due to the speed. If it's something outside of school where speed isn't a factor then Goodnotes was better for me. Plus being able to add recordings to notes is a big advantage in school
yes! I totally agree with you about some things! Notability definitely has more pen selection and the brush pen works much better. However, since I'm doing online school, I have not yet once found the need to record a lecture since they're all pre recorded or saved for later.
@@emilystudyingis it good to use the iPad 9
Honestly i recently got my iPad,i was gonna get the 9 but he said the ten was better
Thanks for tips. As to improving your penmanship, you might consider changing your pen grip from the wrap-around thumb choke to held by fingertips. You will have improved sensitivity, control and liquidity of movement.
I just got my mom’s old ipad and stylus, but was struggling to write. Surprisingly, you released this video when I needed it the most! Thank you!!!
If you don’t have a paperlike type screen cover, it makes a HUGE difference. I got 2 covers on Amazon for less than $15 U.S. ( not paperlike brand but works great ) I’ve been using it for several months and really love it.
WOW. Never even thought about practicing your handwriting by tracing over like you do at the end. When I first started watching the video, I really thought that Goodnotes had a function to instantly transcribe your handwriting to a font LMAO. Your handwriting is INSANE.
That's what I thought, too! 😂
omg!!! I'm literally practicing right now 😭😂 when this pop up, thank you!! 💕

@PrincessPatch555 goodnotes
I use the fountain pen setting which works well for me personally because of how I hold my pen and the angle I hold it 🤩 but of course, everyone has a preference 🤩🤩
Thanks for the tips, I used one note and ur tips still works, my handwriting is so much better now! I just zoom in to max, choose medium thickness then use the math/ grid paper to help with spacing! Thank u!

Just bought the iPad Air 4!! So glad to see this video!!! Have a great day/night
Thank you so much for making this worksheet I need to improve my handwriting on the iPad like a lot so this will definitely help
I’m here for your writing, I thought my writing was neat but yours is on another level, it’s PERFECT! I’ve just treated myself to the iPad 10th generation and I’m definitely going to get the screen protector that helps you write more easily because of the friction. Thank you for this great video, I’m going to sub to your channel
Great video! Another reason to choose ballpoint pen instead of fountain pen or brush pen is the file size, as Goodnotes doesn't have to save the pressure data for ballpoint pen.
I‘m so happy to finally find someone who holds pens and pencils the way I do, they told me as a kid I would never get a good handwriting with „the cramped way“ I was holding my pencils but now I‘m doing calligraphy and paintings. 🖋
I hold my pens the same way, and now i also do art and calligraphy.
same, and now every time I write I have cramps... I totally forgot I used to write this way. I'm going back :D
I write this way also and people always thought it was so weird.
Wait wtf I thought a lot of people were holding their pencil like this.
your handwriting is so good 😭
I just got my new ipad air4 a few weeks ago and i really want to know how to make my notes look better with goodnotes and notability. This video shows me a lot of information about those. Thank You! I realllllllllllllllllllllllly LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never seen handwriting this next. It is unbelievable. WOW. (PS - just got a Paperlike recently, and I have to say I really love it.
Thank you so much! I just got the iPad Air 4 and I was struggling a lot with the ball pen. Now my notes are just amazing.

Hard to believe the PaperLike can improve your handwriting but it helped me a lot. It's really an excellent improvement. I just got mine and I'm really glad I did.

Nice hand writing emily. Looks beautiful
Had a paper-like protector on my 12.9” iPad Pro. Went through 3 Apple Pencil tips in 6 weeks, dumped the paper-like protector in favour of a 3rd party one. No problems with the new protector. Paper-like is overpriced and not so great. When I’m on the move I use an iPad Mini 5 with the pencil. Really great for taking down quick notes and then it goes into my jacket pocket. Use it all the time...
What brand of screen protector did you get? I’m trying to find a cheaper alternative to Paperlike
@@kaitlinkoralewski6466 just anything that doesn’t have the rough paper structure, most cheap ones from Amazon do the job. I just switched back as well because I ruined 4 tips in 2 weeks.

This is huge - such a discovery as I start using the iPad Pro 11" for notes and writing. Thank you!
LISTEN HERE!! I recommend buying an Apple Pencil case! The magnet that connects the Apple Pencil and the iPad is kinda strong! The Apple Pencil will scrape of some paint at where the magnets connect! Buying a case for the pencil will keep that from happening
The silicone case can also keep the paint scrape off!

Finally a down-to-earth video with actual daily-life tips, thank you so much. ❤️❤️
And I completely agree with you on the iPad sizes: the Mini - but also the regular one - is only for those who only do sporadic casual browsing, streaming or read e-books; if you need to take notes, you cannot get an iPad smaller than, at the very least, the new iPad Air or, better, the iPad Pro 11” as they have the best screen ratio - and the Apple Pencil 2nd gen. is the absolute best for writing (the 1st gen. Pencil is good too, but there’s frankly an abyss with the 2nd gen. one).
yes! totally agree with you !
It’s been two years that I use my regular iPad for all of my classes. To be honest, it's not as bad as you say. Of course, it's smaller than paper, but it works well. We shouldn't push people to buy the pros expensive Ipads. If they have the money, why not. But regular one is more than fine!
@@Sophiealpes38 I’m not pushing anyone to do anything. I’m just stating facts: the Apple Pencil 1 is not even comparable to the 2nd gen. one when it comes to taking notes, which makes the models the Apple Pencil 2 is compatible with the best tools for writing; the regular iPad may be good for you because you’ve gotten used to it, but objectively its huge borders may be somewhat of a hindrance and make it not the best device to write on.
Hi emily! Thank you so much for this video. This helped me alot, i am buying new accessories+ a stylus for my ipad air. This helped me alot because i would be doing my school works on my ipad 💕

Hi, if you're trying to write neater, I would recommend Bellemond screen protector. I have Kent paper version and it's doing great! I have a horrible writing and couldn't even write on glass screen, so it really helped. It's great quality and I don't need to change the film even though I was using it for a year
Finally someone who reccomends iPad 8 bc I’ll be getting the iPad 8 this Ramadan 😊
Absolutely gorgeous notes. The fact you have to time-lapse the handwriting though... wouldn’t be tenable for me, there isn’t enough time in the day!
Same. I would fall behind.
Literally at the end: W A N D A V I S I O N
thanks for the sheet, much appreciated
This helped so much by I'm getting an iPad soon and u earned a sub
I would also add 2 pieces of advice. Try using sports wrist braces, the kind that athletes use to protect their wrists if you will be writing for a long period of time, especially those rated for carpal tunnel. Writing or drawing for hours can get painful on the wrists without them, and I know I am in medical school and spend about 14 to 16 hours a day 7 days a week writing as part of my studies. Using a writers glove can also help keep writing neat preventing sliding on the screen and odd lines while writing. Yes there is palm rejection but it isn't always the best especially if you do a lot of drawing
ah yes! that's actually a great idea and I've seen others use the wrist thing!!! Thanks for the tips!
Hey! your handwriting is literally beautiful and i love it! But when i write on my ipad it is really messy could you please make your handwriting a font that we are able to download ♥️thankk youuu!!!!

Owwww wowww I really do love your videos I just watch ot and I didn't notice I finish the whole video.
I’ve heard that paper like screen protectors actually damage your Apple Pencil tips, what’s your opinion on that so far after using it ?
hmmm, not yet, the screen is super soft
It depends on the brand, some screen protectors are too hard and the do damage the top (I have one), paper like doesn’t damage the tip but I’ve seen some reviews that say that it feels just like a simple matte protector bc it doesn’t have as much friction as hard protectors (that do harm the pencil tip), so I’d just go for a Matt one
I personally don’t use any protector now and I think my handwriting and drawing is Normal, I’d recommend you to try it bare first !
That happened to me :'(
Use Nib protection
Well I think a useful tip is to have a neat handwriting in the first place lol
Very neat and nice handwriting
Your notes look so simple and concise, i wish I could filter books like that😅😅
