I knew herrings were popular in Scandinavia in general but I didn't know it was so much so they required a king! Plus side I can now recognised the Norwegian for king :D Thanks for the subs xxxx
The Herring King.... what a hoot. He even lives in a castle! So glad he doesn't have any self esteem issues!! I loved how Bard and Vegard laughed with amazement through out the whole visit. Where do they find these folks to do the interviews. Funny.
I think we can easily prove this guy didn´t find all our oil... ;o) In other news, this is the first time I actually knew what this segment really was about, because for some reason I watched this on the DVD with the commentaries on, and all the boys talked about was what they were wearing. So I´ve basically known stuff about Bård´s sweater and Vegard´s belt and not much else.
Jennifer Croome I`m a complete commentary geek, I just loooove listening those no matter what the DVD is. But obviously this + the Ylvis 3 commentaries are exceptionally funny (and saucy). Have to say though, it`s been a while since I listened to this, and I don`t remember where my DVD is at the moment, so I couldn`t re-listen for you, but... I think Vegard basically said that his belt was a present from his girlfriend and she asked him to wear it for TV because it was such a funny belt. And... Bård talked about where he bought his sweater, which is a shopping mall in Bergen called Lagunen (which I`ve been to and absolutely cannot remember where is, but that`s another story) and I also think he said the sweater originally had a pocket which he didn`t like and spent a long time cutting off before starting to use the sweater. Hows`s that for fashion dedication! If anyone else remembers more clearly, do suppliment or correct me. I really should dig up that DVD again. I wonder how much fun it would be do do a transcript of the commentaries. I remember doing it for another DVD once.
Ylvis is my idea of a national icon!🗽
2:35 I love their amazed reaction.
'How's the feeling to go around feeling like a national icon?'
WELL BÅRD, NOW YOU KNOW THAT FEELING FOR SURE.
Hahaha - I had the same thought when I heard that part.
joyeful .o
8:28 So many of the people they interview give unique handshakes. Look at Vegard's face xD

The recital part makes me think of the Peer Gynt recital in Ylvis III. :-P
Thanks for the subtitles.
So I watched this right after the bicycle psychiatrist, and this guy makes me feel a lot jollier for sure

They find them in Norway, I guess!...:p
Ninjazombie42 Yes!
In this episode I can see inspiration for one of their performance from Ylvis III, Peer Gynt.
Ylvis III - Peer Gynt (English subs)
Detlie er vel trakkasering/ gjøre det til underholdning av mennesker med avvik?
Og hvor mye av overskuddet fikk de?

Did anyone else get the feeling that this guy was making a lot of this stuff up?

OH MAN! I'm so jealous of people who have the commentaries (and also who can understand them lol)! What did they say about the sweater and the belt?
