What did you think about the Eagles' win over the Vikings?
I think it's good but I feel for the Vikings. It's amazing how quickly sports folk forget about the losing teams and seem to only notice the winners and denigrate anyone on the losing team who makes a mistake.

As a Vikings fan I have to say hats of to Nick Foles. He went after Terrance Newman and McCanzie Alexander in deep coverage and converted on every single deep pass. There was absolutely no luck involved. He came with a plan and crushed a really good Vikings defense.

The Eagles are the best team in football this season. They are so deep defensively that they rarely even seem tired on the defensive end, and if you notice their last two opponents looked absolutely exhausted by the middle of each game while the eagles look fully rested and ready to go another 2 or 3 games. The eagles used their offseason to fill every hole that needed filled and because of it you are seeing a team that looks very well-coached down to the bottom.

Yes but that doesnt mean much and this is coming from a huge eagles fan and Foles fan. I mean mitch trubisky was able to throw five TDs in a game. Now if you want to talk about the totality of the 2013 season then that's a different story. He was amazing that year hut one good game against the sorry raiders doesnt mean much for the outlook of his career. By the way he had more TDs that game then incompletions.....

What other team could lose its MVP-caliber QB(carson wentz), starting MLB(jordan hicks), backup MLB (joe walker), Starting punt runter/back up running back( Darren Sproles), Starting pro bowl caliber Right tackle( jason Peters) starting Kicker and a special teams captain and still make the playoffs? let alone play in the super bowl??

A lot of the credit goes to the coaches and the GM for having players ready and able to take the place of the injured starters. The rest of the credit goes to the players who actually play the game. When players and coaches have confidence that whoever they plug in to play is going to get the job done it's business as usual. The two best teams at this are the 2 teams going to the big game.

I thought the Vikings win over the Saints was a fluke but I never thought the Eagles were going to administer them such a bad whooping!
I was there and it was DEAFENING! There was a report on how the EAGLES chant could be CLEARLY heard 2.9 miles away in Jersey. Malcolm Jenkins said he lost hearing momentarily after that pick 6. It was honestly a privilege to be at that game and completely dominates any sporting event I have ever been to. Pretty sure Nick Wright just became a Philadelphia fan, because you can't experience something like that, feel the love, and not love it.

No matter what happens in the Super Bowl, us Eagles fans have to feel pretty good about the state of this franchise. We are making it to the big game without our franchise QB and overcoming so much adversity. We get him back next year and will likely have him as an elite player for a decade. This is the start of a great era for the Philadelphia Eagles, hopefully with a couple more Super Bowl appearances down the road 😉

That’s what an optimally run, consistently high achieving NFL franchise looks like. Unless you’re a Chiefs fan (in which case you have a historically great QB and a dynasty, congrats), your team hasn’t had sustained success at the level the Eagles had over the last 10 years.
Most fanbases won’t ever seen consistency like that, the ability to turn on the TV every Sunday for the last couple years and know the Birds have a good shot to win every single game, that’s a pretty great feeling.

To be fair to case, his o-line caused both turnovers. I'm a Vikings fan. I was at the Saints game. The line started showing vulnerabilities in the second half of that game. Both turnovers in the Philly game were caused by someone getting shoved onto his back from his blindside.

There's a bigger issue here. What happened to the Zimmer defense? Our QB wasn't an all star, we all knew that as Vikings fans, but our defense is the heart of the team and always keeps us in games by not giving up more than 20ish points. If Mike Zimmer is getting beat on defense by Nick Foles, we may have a coaching problem, and not just a QB problem. We clearly got complacent after last week and ZERO second half adjustments were made

How were the Eagles one play from this going wrong? Ridiculous. They dominated 90% of the game.
Nick & CC, Cmon. You blame Case for an interception when he got hit throwing? He should have stepped up but that’s on the oline as well. You also blame Case for a blind side hit on a terrible scheme and play call. Look at that play. The vikings asked their back up Tight End to cross the formation (making him get to block late & makes his shoulders perpendicular to the LOS which would make any d-end drool.) so the Vikings call slide protection to the right and ask a back up tight end to go one on one with a d end on the blind side? On third down? Vs the best pass rush in the nfl? Stop beating up the qb. That’s not the QBs fault. That was a poor scheme by Shermur and the offensive staff and that play should have never even been in the game plan or call sheet. Don’t blame Case when there is plenty of blame to go around including some of the worst tacking and pass coverage I’ve seen in years from the Vikings. And the Eagles were simply awesome. Another reason that play call was terrible. Congrats to the Eagles. They deserve it. But don’t throw Case under the bus when others need to be there too.
