thanks for sharing this video, I've had some braiding hair that i wanted to make into wefts and I'm happy you did a video on this. i tried the ventilating method and i totally failed lol but i really like the weft method especially for what i want to use the hair for. thanks again for sharing, a lot of people tend to keep things secret because they feel that it benefits them alone but I'm glad you are willing to impart your knowledge to others.
Crystal IslandGirl This world is so big and I doubt anyone can take my "job" in wig making just because I showed them my secrets, it is always about how dedicated you are to your work and how much detail you are wishing to put. My thing is both knowledge but also determination. Not every person can have these qualities.
Super Wig Maker I so appreciate you kindness and know I doubt very seriously any one can take your job. and you are so right not every on has the determination.
The answer to my question ... thank you for sharing this detailed video on creating beautiful, shed-free wefts using a sewing machine. I appreciate the time you took to do this and to share it with us!

little tip for your sewing machine needle to stop it getting icky with the tape, after your done sewing use a little acetone/nail polish remover on it to stop it sticking to other projects and saves having to change the needle:)
+mercedes hughes My needles doesn't penetrate the tape, if it did it would sew the tape with the hair as well, there is a gap between the two tapes and this is where I am sewing. but thanks for the info, I already knew acetone (nail polish remover) can dissolve the glue from tapes etc.
This is truly wonderful!!!! I had some bulk synthetic hair laying around so I tried this method to practice and it came out beautiful I can't believe how fast and easy it was to do this thank you so much for sharing your detailed information. I did not use heat to make the crease and it still worked wonderfully.
Super Wig Maker Hi I love your videos there just so amazing, your the best at what you do. My question is can you use hair from a hair brush to make a wig? If I was to save all my hair from my hair bush
+ciera smith It wouldn't work well because the cuticles of the strands will not be aligned from root to tip. So you if you wefted the strands from your brush, you would end up with very tangly wefted hair.
Great video, fabulous job, super neat! I was raised in this industry, I’ve been hand wefting bulk hair since I was ten years young. I also taught it for years. Ventilating for years too, my speed is with hand wefting and Hair Weeving
Thank you so much for demonstrating how to make wefted hair with bundles. It helps with blending different hair textures in order to match the hair texture of the client, especially with different ethnic people who want to leave some of the own hair out..
Oh my god i can't believe that you did this I did the same as you did on the last weft the one with out the fabric tape , I am so pleased to know that someone else does these sort of things i thought i was the only mad person that would think up this stuff how did your wig look i can't wait to see it
Great video. I was wondering because you folded the hair over, now you have 50% of the hair cuticle going in the opposite direction. Does this not create a problem with tangles?
This is great! There's a water-based glue, that is washable after it dries, called, Alene's Jewel-It. You can dilute it, and it will soak into the header of your weft!
Thanks for this vid. I think I will try this for cosplay. I am still learning ventilating but trying a small crochet hook for now. This would make wig making faster by making wefts for most of the wig. Then I can work on trying to ventilate the front areas. I bought a few ventilating needles and holder.
Super video - I've have tried to make wefts from bulk hair and I found the special tape painters use very useful. The glue is sufficient sticky and it is not so lively to work with as the type you use in this video. I used 2.0 inch wide, but you can get it in more wides.
hello! very impressive I must say !! I'm new to your channel & new to wigs & extensions / weave. I don't have any yet but I'm trying to figure out what I need & how to make it. I don't really know what to buy either. You make that look easy but I bet it's not. I can't wait to look at other videos you have made. I'm so glad I found your channel!!
BRAVO. Thank you, I feel much more confident about making a weft with my own hair. my hair used to be so long then I had it cut short so I will defo be trying this method.
I was looking for something like this. I want to make wigs for dolls, nothing sophisticated with a cheap sewing machine. Thank you for sharing and have luck :)
I cut my hair years ago, i kept them and I want to make into wefts but my sewing machine doesn’t have the zigzag fonction, I Have a serger, how to do it with a serger? Do you have any video on this ? Thanks
Beautiful and detailed video you made it very easy to understand and so patient i really learnt a lot and will be sure to look at more of your video. How do i get raw hair to work with
I wish I would have though of using the heat bond when I made my wefts. I used plain lace and I had to sew again after folding. Would have saved time for sure.
+DevilsEpicurean the double fold is the standard of wefting, but it needs the special tools to be made, I can surely not do it with my sewing machine or at least not with the presser foots I have in hand. I have also seen people use a sewing machine to directly feed hair into the sewing machine without tapes and such and they made perfectly looking wefts. My sewing machine (this pink one and the bigger one I have now) both munch on the hair, the hair somehow manages to get looped inside the bobbin area and they get scrambled.
Do they make a ventilating machine to make the process go faster when trying to make a frontal? I am just gathering information before I decide if it is more economical to try to learn to make my own wigs versus purchasing them.
Wow, I'm late looking at this video. You are great! This video is long but very necessary as you have put a lot of detail and thought into it. I love this and will use it. I sew, so I already have a sewing machine. I am an amateur but am pretty savvy. I also love your accent!
Thank you so much for demonstrating how to make weft hair. I am new to this. Could you please explain what is the tape you took for sewing. Where can I buy this fabric ribbon glue. Regds.
I love your video. I am loosing my hair quickly, and want to make a wig. I have collected hair from friends and researching to do this now. I dont have hair long enough to fold over like you did. I have pieces 7-9 inches long. Can I make these wefts the same way without doubling it like you did?
Merci
I have enjoyed the welt making video. I am having trouble with the tape you sew in. could you send me the name of the tape you are using(small tape). or anyone that knows
I assume the cuticles have been stripped if it’s human hair or is it synthetic? Because when you fold it, if it has cuticles it’s going to tangle since they would be going opposite direction at the fold. ??
+Theresa Roussell I am like one step before ordering a professional wefting machine, it costs freacking 3500$ and like 250$ for shipping cost. It is insane! But I plan to get one when I decide to start selling hair.
+Super Wig Maker Perhaps you could try with a professional Overlock for clothes sewing. It costs a bit but it is affordable. I found it in Amazon for 290 dollars and free shipping.
since you are sewing the hair in the middle and then folding the hair in half isn't the cuticle of the hair going in the wrong direction on half of the strands of hair now? I have read if you ventilate your wig hair from the wrong end of the hair your wig will tangle a lot more because of the fact the cuticle on the hair shaft is going the wrong way. This obviously only applies to human hair as I dont believe the synthetic hair has a cuticle. but do you notice more tangles doing this?
+Odessa Buggs I do not fold it in half, if you see the video you will see how I do it, I do it as close to the root as possible leaving enough amount o be folded. And for ventilation I have a whole video on how I fold the human hair so I will not have a huge problem with the back-combing effect but also not have the returns of the hair too short and thus have them spiking up. ua-cam.com/video/dOMu8KvY1Ao/v-deo.html
OMG This is genius!! Do you have a video where you show how this is done if the hair is not long enough to be folded because that is the problem with the bulk hair that I have. It's not long enough to be folded but I would still like to make it into wefts.
There can't be wefted without a fold, the hair needs the fold so it doesn't fray, this is why wefts are more expensive than bulk hair, because they lose a good 1 inch of hair and also wefting takes time, skill and machine work. I think you wanna get 1 inch longer hair to spare the folding. Even when you ventilate hair you lose 2" of hair for returns.
JMJ4life yes you only fold like 1 inch or so, with the professional machines you might lose less than 1 inch but this way you can't be that precise, you'd rather lose an inch or 1,5 inches and be sure you got all the hair done. You need the top tape that holds the roots to hold the hair secure enough.
you are fantastic! trying some HD venting today! I was wondering if you thought duct tape would be good also. I know duct tape has some thread so maybe it can help if people are having trouble with the machine swallow the hair? thanks for the videos!
If you put it on both sides you make it more secure, just make sure you do not put THAT much that it will start cracking later on. I usually thin the nail polish to the point it can sip into the stitches. This way it is even more secure and goes all the way to the other side
arek52525 Yes cotton or polyester, it also can be identical colour to the hair, I didn't have many threads so I will go and get me many sewing machine threads to match hair when needed
hi I am totally enthralled with your videos:)) i wonder if you could tell me something? i have some synthtic wigs as i have no hair at the moment due to chemo,,,what would you suggest i do with them to make them look more natural around the hairline,,,i have had them trimmed so i have some spare strands thanks:)) i have a sewing machine and am good at sewing and maaking things,,but am not sure if i want to ventilate
Well usually synthetic factory wigs do not have a very realistic and natural look, they are too dense. I would definitely refront the wig with better hairline but that is me being a wig maker myself.
I thought hair had one direction. I am confused I see you take a length of Hair and fold it. Won't that make brushing the hair in the wrong direction half the time. I am a very big fan of yours who wants to make my own wigs.
The thing is that this hair is mostly synthetic thus it has no direction. and the little human hair I have in it are going up the middle of the bundle. So when I fold it in the middle the synthetic have no problem and the human hair have practicalyl like 2~3" of returns going in the wrong direction.
Hiya! not sure if this has already been asked but just wondering where can you purchase the fabric-ribbon glue from? and also does it have a brand name? I tried searching to buy but couldnt find it. Love the video! x
I got it from a fabric and sewing store. It doesn't have a name, i is just an iron-on ribbon that melts with the heat and glues the fabric together, they us it in thin apparel in the endings so they won't have to stitch the fold, but rather glue it.
I know it can do that, this is why I need the tape on top and on bottom, but also if you need more structure on the area you sew spray that area with a hard hairspray, it will make it semi-solid and it will act like a stiff fabric and it will not swallow it.
Super Wig Maker I tried this also and my machine still doesn't move just like hers. I tried using masking tape and seeing over it as well but that doesn't work as well. Please help
thanks for sharing this video, I've had some braiding hair that i wanted to make into wefts and I'm happy you did a video on this. i tried the ventilating method and i totally failed lol but i really like the weft method especially for what i want to use the hair for. thanks again for sharing,

Fantastic. Kudos. Thanks for sharing. I knew there had to be a way to get softer wefts. Most are so hard and rough and iritating. Genius. Thanks
I loved watching this video. You make it look so easy. It's given me so many ideas. I want to try this method on micro braids. Thank you.

Susanne Juel Winther the blue tape?

Emily Davis If the hair is long enough to turn the cut off into wefts then yes.
Super Wig Maker Awesome thank you. Great video.
Ты так красиво работаешь 👍👍👍👍успехов и удачи♥️♥️♥️
Hi good morning what's the name of the sewing machine because I don't find it
I have enjoyed the welt making video. I am having trouble with the tape you sew in. could you send me the name of the tape you are using(small tape). or anyone that knows
Hi, thanks for showing how to make a weft. I have a question where did you buy the glue fabric tape? Thanks
Hi, it is any way I can buy loose human hair?Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing this video! Do you think this can be used for sinth hair as well? xoxo
That was partially synthetic already, and you can fold the synthetic in half if you want since they do not have cuticles.
Your videos are fantastic. I'm really learning so much. Thank you!!!
I assume the cuticles have been stripped if it’s human hair or is it synthetic? Because when you fold it, if it has cuticles it’s going to tangle since they would be going opposite direction at the fold. ??
I'm going to get me a sewing machine now 😂😂😂.... U did an awesome job! OMGEE LOVE IT
Love this will u be able to tell me were I can buy real quality Russian hair please thankyou so much ur great❤️❤️❤️
very cool. don't know if I could do this, but you're brilliant.
Karen Strömer
I already have a more professional sewing machine now, it does indeed an easier job.
Super Wig Maker great jobman, can u pls tell the machine to buy now for a start pls.I love ur job.

What kind of ribbon did you use for the weft? What kind of thread did you use for this?
you can use your latex glue flor sealing the weft. diluted latex
excelente trabalho ,como consigo a cola abrigada beijos
Where can I buy the sewing machine
Hi how do I go about buying real human hair so many fakes they all say real but not kind regards paulina
thank you so much for this video!! can I ask where you bought the fabric ribbon glue or where you think it can be bough ?
Wow I’m going to try this !! Do you know if this is good for making bundles to be sewn on a wig ???
price-less video Super Wig Maker Thank you for posting this :-)
I was wondering if chainstitch would be a good idea?
Ok, now I KNOW I can use my serger to do the 2nd part of the sewing. Then use polish to tidy up. I love my serger. Thanks a bunch!
Wow! This is amazing. Well done
it's so amazing watching you work. thank you so much for sharing your expertise.
Thanks for sharing this, I had tried this method but I didn't like it , I'll try with the ribbon :D
you are fantastic! trying some HD venting today! I was wondering if you thought duct tape would be good also. I know duct tape has some thread so maybe it can help if people are having trouble with the machine swallow the hair? thanks for the videos!
Duck tape is elastic and it will be very bad to sue it for this purpose, we want the tape to be 100% non elastic.
What is the name machine?
Should I use tha nail polish at two sides?
Thank you for the video, it helps me a lot!!! :D
I am so glad I found you :3
If you put it on both sides you make it more secure, just make sure you do not put THAT much that it will start cracking later on.
I usually thin the nail polish to the point it can sip into the stitches. This way it is even more secure and goes all the way to the other side
I see, Thank you so much again!!! :D
this was so cool wow!!! im going to try this with braiding hair on my sewing machine!
Where do you get the hair?
Thank you for this video! I’m going to subscribe to your channel I want to learn how to make wigs from scratch and I think you can help me learn!
É esmalte de unhas?
Do you using nylon thread on it?
So what you recommend for regular sewing machine? Cotton?

Yes cotton or polyester, it also can be identical colour to the hair, I didn't have many threads so I will go and get me many sewing machine threads to match hair when needed

Wow that is super helpful thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial♥♥♥
I don't think I can reply to the girl with Cyrillic letters. You get this tape from fabric and sewing stores.
Is there a way I could email you? I have a few questions about a full lace wig.

can u tell what the name of the fabric ribbon glue is
Holly Smith it’s called hemming tape
DO U TAKE REQUESTS? LMK.
first normal sew , then you sew zigzag ?
+ezgi ünal No zig zag is a stretch stitch and it would make the hair fall.
Wow you are so smart this was very very helpful to me thank you very much
Did you use human hair or synthetic?
+Debra I blended human hair with synthetic for this purpose.
Thank you for this video, it's really a blessing
Is it cheaper to make the wefts by hand as opposed to buying ready made ones?
I love your channel btw.
como fez o topo ?
how can i order a wig from you
Hiya! not sure if this has already been asked but just wondering where can you purchase the fabric-ribbon glue from? and also does it have a brand name? I tried searching to buy but couldnt find it. Love the video! x
I got it from a fabric and sewing store. It doesn't have a name, i is just an iron-on ribbon that melts with the heat and glues the fabric together, they us it in thin apparel in the endings so they won't have to stitch the fold, but rather glue it.
I love this I do want to try. Esp on a cheaper machine so I don't ruin my good one
How in the EARTH you are able to sew that, my machine just swallows the hair and doesnt move at all :(
I know it can do that, this is why I need the tape on top and on bottom, but also if you need more structure on the area you sew spray that area with a hard hairspray, it will make it semi-solid and it will act like a stiff fabric and it will not swallow it.
Thank you so much! :) next time I'll try spraying it. I don't know if the tape I used a bit less sticky than it should be to keep the hairs in places.
Super Wig Maker I tried this also and my machine still doesn't move just like hers. I tried using masking tape and seeing over it as well but that doesn't work as well. Please help
